Good day everyone!  What a beautiful day, not because of the sunshine, but because it is a brand new day. Another adventure to look forward to, more challenges to unravel and explore. Each and everyone of us is unique, we think and feel things in different ways. To live in harmony with  another, we have to first be at peace ourselves.

To the artist when creating, we strive for balance in our presentation. We often bring inanimate objects together to present a pleasing visual to the eye. In dealing with another human being, we are working with another person with feelings, and thoughts of their own.  Immersed in our own thoughts and ideas, we often neglect to consider that the person we are working or sharing time with can also be lost in thought.  Because we all have our own unique personality and lifestyle, the response or view  of our partner, friend can be completely different from our own.  Practice acceptance of differences, learn and grow together. It is through communication, and respect that bonds grow stronger.

When we choose to walk along a path with another, it is amazing how differently each takes in the landscape, both see different vistas even though walking side by side. What a blessing it is to share a horizon with another. There cannot be one without the other, if the head of the coin was not there, neither would the tail.  Positive/negative =1 (One)

We are all unique, in our own personal way, that is what is so wonderful about meeting and getting to know another person. I grew up in an age when we were encouraged to have pen pals. With the electronic age, snail mail seems to have gone the way of the 10 cent phone call.

Yet, the internet now provides us with opportunities that would have been unheard of in days gone by.  The meetings can be more frequent, and more direct if not face to face, they are still person to person. Respect becomes key, we may appear to be different, we may dress, walk, talk in a different manner, but we are still connected,  We all feel, we all have needs and wants, even though our experiences/challenges differ, we came to “be” in the same way.

Intriguing build  isn’t it.  So are the people around us.  Each person in your life, is a whole new landscape waiting to be discovered.  Accept and respect differences, strive for harmonious relationships.

The Green Door

door, green by Jim Gove on Flickr

Does a green door mean anything to you?  Do you know how many green doors you have passed through in your day?  Probably not. We go through a lot of doors, some more colorful than others.  Some we close behind us and others are left open.  A friend recently closed a door on me, the friend decided they no longer wanted to be friends.  Actually if I think back, I’ve probably had a few doors closed on me -smiles – what is the saying, you can please some people some time but not all people, all the time.  Something like that.

What happens when a door closes.  Nothing really, of course I guess it depends on what side of the door you are on, what view you will have, but the reality is, the door is closed.  You didn’t close it, but it is closed non-the-less.  In my earlier years I guess I would have tried to reopen the door, I no longer feel the need to do that. I’ve come to respect that if someone decides to close a door, it is their decision, and I respect that.  It doesn’t change my feelings, or my caring, because when I give or love, I do so willingly and from my heart.  There are no regrets when love is pure and true.

In PL(Perfect Liberty) we learn practical guidelines for living our daily lives.  These principles assist us in practicing the PL 21 Precepts.   The 1st Precept is …..Life is Art….       The 1st Principle …. I will live paying careful attention, putting Makoto (sincerity) into all I say and do.

Living harmoniously with the Universe is really about being in the moment and being mindful in all we say and do.  Doors whether open or closed are a beautiful reminder of movement from then to now.  I  like green because it is the color of growth and new beginnings.

Principle #4I will live with the spirit of Misasage (Devotion) working for the happiness of others.

I wish you all a very good day, whatever it is your decide to do, keep at it, don’t give up until you have accomplished what you started.

Life is here for us to enjoy and to be lived.  All things come to fruition once the heart (content) and the object (form) are in accord with one another, you will be blessed with wonderful results.

Help I need help

If you heard those words, what would you do?  I watched in utter amazement the other day while a small clip played out for me on my screen.

His words in the first part of the clip, are in French, and he is asking for help.

For those of you following me on Twitter and Facebook, you’ve seen this already, but to me it is a message that bears repeating. We are all unique, different, we all make choices that have us looking and acting differently from our neighbours.  No matter, what we must all remember is that for all our differences, we are all the same.  the key to having harmonious relationships with people around us is acceptance.

saxophone

It takes all many different pieces, of different sizes and shapes, to make an instrument that produces  mellow sound that we know and love.. So in life, does it require the many varieties, shapes and sizes of human beings with different ideas and philosophies to blend and harmonize the world.

the joy of transformation

harley davidson -flickrGood morning everyone… how is your day so far?  Good I hope.  When I drove into the gym parking lot today I found myself parked beside a gleaning black and chrome Harley.  I would have taken a picture but hot not been prepared to run into such a beauty.  She was polished to perfection.  Obviously the rider had ridden her to the gym, but even with the light dust she acquired during her morning ride she shone. I took the time to tour the bike, walk around her and really check her out.  Wow, the love her owner  showers on her was obvious. When I got home I tried to find a picture of a dirty bike in my files, even went on Pinterest.

motorcycle, dirt riding

Except for action shots like this one, most of the bikes are in immaculate condition.  I bet that as soon as that little treasure got back home, it was cleaned down and not a spec of dirt would remain on it anywhere.  The motorcycles that I  found in my travels, (research) even the vintage old classis, were in top form.  Like the motor I used the other day, they radiate love.  Their chrome and bodies are pristine.  Ok what am I getting at, ladies, not only men  love the motorcycle, the motorcycle is an art piece just as an inanimate object.  OK not everyone agrees, but there are a lot who do.  Myself included.

Most riders I know develop respect for the bike they are riding.  They trust the vehicle to transport them to another space in time.  And really, until you’ve ridden on one, felt the power beneath you, you don’t realize just how personal being on a bike is.

motorcycle riding

The first time I took a corner on a motorcycle other than a touring bike, I was transformed from a passenger or driver of a car, to a motorcycle enthusiast.  I was ready to grab a rag and start shining the chrome when we got back  from our ride.  If I thought I loved riding a bike when I rode as a passenger on a Honda gold Wing, ( my legs were too short and I too “little” to attempt to hold a Gold Wing up on my own, I tried!)  I became a tad fanatic about a road and off road bike (Triumph Tiger)  In a split second, I had been transformed and it was a transformation.   I wanted the leathers and I always wanted to be out riding. Good or bad weather didn’t really matter, I wanted the wind on my face,  and the freedom of being in Nature unconfined by a metal or fiberglass box around me.

via Hristina Ivanoava

I don’t ride at all now, but the love of the ride has never left me, nor the joy of transformation, the thrill of a new discovery.  The true happiness of finding another dimension of yourself in life, how wonderful a shift of gears can be…  To do those curves, you have to lean into them, balance, be in harmony with the bike and the motion of being there.  You are in the moment.  Living it, there is no other way!

Let there be love on Earth

!cid_4_1770918552@web160903_mail_bf1_yahoo

Let there be love on earth and let it begin with me  – Let there be love on earth, the love that was meant to be

With God ever present, family all are we – Let us walk with each other in perfect harmony..

Let Love begin with me, let this be the moment now = With every breath I take, let this be my joyous vow

To take each moment and live each moment in love eternally – Let there be love on earth and let it begin with me!

The Value of Money and things Depends on How you Choose to Use Them

PL teaching day 18   – The Value of Money and Things Depends on How you Choose to Use Them  -Money and things are materials for your self -expression.  Use them to their fullest for the sake of others and society.

I had to meditate on this one for a long time .. I was trying to decide how best to try to give you my association or thoughts on money.  It has always been my belief that money is a  necessary evil in life.  One needs money to acquire “things” in life.  In today’s society/culture, we often think we “need” a lot more than we actually do.  Permit me to tell you of one of my excursions many years ago with a friend.  We loved to scour garage sales, flea markets, and of course thrift shops.  Not because we couldn’t afford to purchase retail, we both had careers, but my friend like to buy and resell, it was her “hobby” and I was and am a recycle or transforming artist.  I like to find a cast off or unwanted item that “speaks” to me and give it a new life.

We were in a little town that is known for its charm, outdoor cafes, and a couple of great discount shops.  One in particular was a place that sold discounted silver wear and household accessories.  I found a delightful fork there and decided to purchase it.  It wasn’t very expensive, but it was not on sale, it was not silver, but sterling silver, so practical, I enjoyed the  lovely design and feel to it. “Oh you can’t  purchase that fork” exclaimed the sales lady,” we only have one left, and besides it is a dessert fork”.  My friend agreed with the lady that since it was a dessert fork, how much use would it be to me.  Their reaction to my intent of acquiring this delightful fork surprised me,, I had thought of neither of their concerns, I liked the fork, I could afford the fork, therefor, I was going to purchase the fork.  My reply to both of them was that it was a fork and it would get the food to my mouth, that was all it needed to do, it didn’t have to be part of a set, it didn’t have to match anything else I had,   It was a fork, it was functional & one I liked and wanted.

So often we pass on something because of someone else’s view, or thoughts,  and then we spend an enormous amount of time trying to find  something like it because we didn’t act on our first impulse.  Usually our impulses  come from our inner “voice”.  these moments are often little nudges from above.  In PL we learn to #1 hear our inner voice, and #2 listen and think on what it is we are hearing….. it is part of the lesson in believing in one’s Self. Knowing what we want, and acting on it.

Everything originates in God, God/TAO/Universe embraces everything.  We cannot live apart from God regardless of whether we recognize God’s existence or not.  The Maharishi once said, put a tub full of water in the middle of a room, whether or not a person believes it is full or not, when they step into it, they will get  wet. (TM – Transcendental Meditation)

Potential new members should know that PL is non sectarian and does not expect that members give up the faith they already have.  PL teachings can help new members better understand their traditional faiths .. PL believes that  all religions should work together for world peace.

If you are near a PL church, the 21st is our monthly Thanksgiving service.  All our welcome. (for Church of Perfect Liberty contacts, visit our websites, links in side bar)
