IMG_0771Happy Birthday to someone special.  Born on the 28th she just missed being a leap year baby.  How lucky is that.

Birthdays are a celebration of life. No matter how many we have, each one marks a year of experiences and adventures.  Some birthdays are stepping-stones, and others well, they require hiking boots walking sticks and determination.

I welcome every day as an opportunity for kindness.

#30 of the PL Calendar  Your surroundings are a mirror of your thoughts

When you think \”this s going to be hard” then your situation will become difficult  Instead think “let’s do this!” and face your situation with determination.  Then you will be surprised to se how smoothly things go.

Have a wonderful day every one!  If you are celebrating today, go for it.  Enjoy the day to the fullest.. That said.  We should be doing our best to live every day to the fullest. Happy happy happy energy and vibes to all.

finding Yoda

IMG_5176I have only been introduced to Yoda in the last year.  Although I had seen him around, obviously I knew of him.  He has only recently come into my immediate “circle” of events, happenings and energies.

He is pretty “cool” I can relate, can you?

reaction

This picture along with the next one, were in my inbox this morning.

pasengers

Both had me looking at the screen,  with multiple thoughts zinging through the old gray cells.  The caption came with the picture.

I have too many different scenarios that come to mind when I want to write my own take on these.  I love the potential these offered. Whoever started this sharing of creativity would be fun to catch up with.. to see how they came up with the idea.. what sparked their  artistic “expression”

The top drawing.. yes! I could relate to posting that a couple of times.. Of course silently in my head… I wish I had the light bulb in my art drawer to have come up with that one.

I am thankful for all of my blessings, and gall darn it… I truly appreciate the brilliant expression of others too.  How about it… do the above pictures inspire a heading from you???

Today is the 21st everyone Thanksgiving service is at 7PM tonight.

21- Let’s be thankful for everything we have right now

NOW is an accumulation of every moment leading up to it, and everything that continues to progress and develop to become “NOW”  Be thankful for everything.

Day 19 of Perfect Liberty calendar

If you are going to do it, put your whole heart into it.

Your degree of seriousness will affect the outcome.  Your daily accumulation of effort towards your goals shows just how serious you are.

midnight

midnight series d

Good morning, very early morning =^_^=  Bom dia  -domingo 17th,

At one time I would write, a pen always near by I would let the words flow, then sit back and discover where  or what my thought process was up to.  Now I am more likely to pick up a tube of paint, bottle of ink, or some other visual media that will allow my creativity to express in abstract.  Today I visited my favourite fine arts store and explored the new offerings that were set out to tempt and tease.

Interestingly what I came away with, was not what I had gone in to look at.  With spring around the corner, I was looking to add to my neon, spring collection.  Colours that would call out the fresh mint of new leaves, or the soft bunny colours and little baby chicks.  But no, I was drawn instead to colours that were metallic, pearlized and in the realm of steam punk maybe?

midnight series c In playing with the colours when I got home, I thrilled at the texture and fluidity of the paints.  So happy with my choices that I didn’t get to play with all of them, because, the testing, turned out to excite me just the way it was.

midnight series b

Midnight is the witching hour (or so they say)  I put on YouTube and listened to old favourites, Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, and looked again at the pages in my Art Journal, even the sheet of mixed media that I started on, looks too good to mess with.  Wonder how I will feel when I wake up and look at it again. =^_^=  Meanwhile.. you got it.. I am happy in the moment.

Ancestors Day

fabric friend got for her

Perfect Liberty Calendar … day 11

Appreciate the Makoto (sincerity) of the people who came before you

Everything we have today was built upon the hard work of our ancestors and the people who came before us.  Always remember to be thankful and humble and continue to build on their past successes.

The bright colourful fabric you see was purchased and collected by a friend of my sister’s while on a shopping outing.  I never met this friend, only heard of her through my sister. I was however, really taken by her selection of fabric, the choices she made, and the colours she was drawn to.  This friend passed away last week, leaving a gigantic hole in the lives of her family and friends. It was sudden, no warnings, simply a chill, and she was gone.

We never know in life when a change will be made in our circle of friends and loved ones.  It happens, life is what it is.

Perfect Liberty Principle #2 –  I will not have complaints about others, matters, nor the weather.  Rather I will always be creative and will look for shortcomings in my own thinking and actions.

a special tool box

57c7cee1a7d92af8579ff422bed20e57In cleaning up, going through boxes, I came across a file folder from days gone by.  In the file folder I had copies of a paper I had typed and copied to enclose with special little boxes I made to send to friends.

Special Tool Box, for someone important

Rubber band to remind you how wonderful a hug is, to give or receive

Tissue – to remind you to dry someone’s tears, perhaps your own, so you can see the tears of others.

Button – to remind you to “button your lips” to keep from saying mean things about others or talking when it is not appreciated.

Toothpicks – to remind you to “pick ” out the good qualities of everyone including you.

Band-aid –  to remind you of healing hurt feelings, either yours or someone else’s

Candy kiss – to remind you that everyone needs a nice treat occasionally

Gold thread – to remind you that friendship is the golden thread that ties together the hearts of everyone

Eraser – to remind you that everyone makes mistakes sometimes that is all right

Lifesaver candy –  to remind you to think of ne as your lifesaver, whenever you need to talk, feel free to come to me

Mint – to remind you that you are worth a MINT to me!

I can not take credit for this idea, I just remember it making the rounds at the hospital I worked at many years ago.  I sat on many committees and being a teaching hospital, I also had to meet with peers in other hospitals on various matters.  This little “piece” was much talked about at the time.  Everyone thought it to be such a great idea.  Finding it again, has brought back memories of another time and place.  I also think that it very much applies to NOW.  What do you think?

It’s interesting because it’s different

Even if someone totally disagrees with you or does things differently, you may learn something from them.  Avoid getting trapped in the mindset, “this is the way it has to be” and free your mind  consider other possibilities.

Bom dia to all,  Have a great day!
