Chop Suey Tuesday 18th

First I want to thank you all or your birthday wishes. I was away for a birthday outing yesterday, when I came back I was overwhelmed by all the messages and good wishes. Wow, it is going to be super awesome year, I have been jet propelled into a new year. I am truly blessed, I say thank you each and every day!

While some look for pristine, blank pages, I work at making mine look old, and sometimes, like here, I strive to make rust, and dirty a page, this is my playtime. Yesterday was spent visiting places in west of downtown Montreal, looking for paint, inks, and any and all other artistic, creative tools, to be found, It was an all day event that I got to share with two like-minded friends, needless to say, it was a lot of fun.

Every person is unique, we each and every one of us, expresses ourselves in our own way. What rocks one person, can be a total turn off to the other, yet when we are on a search and find mission, the enthusiasm of the other person’s excitement when they have found something that has fired up their enthusiasm for their craft, that is catching. It is smiles all around.

In our travels as we headed back towards Ottawa, I found Catnip who I knew would be perfect for my October Fright journal.

Sharing happiness with friends is a blessing. What better way to share a birthday celebration, Catnip will always remind me that my 2018 birthday was not only great. It lasted for days, Today I am off on another adventure.

Good Sunday morning dear friends.

Day 15 – PL Calendar – Being attentive makes life more enjoyable.

Live life paying careful attention to every detail be it big or small. By doing so, you will be able to experience the subtle joy in things.

That said, I began the world with a visit to a long ago time, in a galaxy far far away. I now know what an ewok is. Cute little fellows, and very good warriors. The little story I read had them fighting biker scouts. Have to admit that I found that the biker scouts were interesting. Best of all I liked a character called Chewie. If you are a Star Wars fans you by now realize that this is a brand new world for me.

Golly Gee Mollie, where have I been =^_^= Goes to show we are never too old to learn about new galaxies, and the worlds that live in or on them.

I learned that there is a forest moon. How cool is that! The Ewok is small, furry and lives in the forest. Sigh every day is so exciting when you can learn about such amazing new characters ..there is such an incrediable amount of talent out there, I can’t wait to make new discoveries.

What about you, have you taken on anything new? Do you think about new ways to do things that you have being doing in a routine fashion? One of my upcoming challenges will be to do a character doll for the month of October, Doll Club meeting.

Challenge yourself, You have so much unused creativity, step outside your comfort zone, live life to the fullest. Can’t wait to read or hear about your adventures.

alexandria 8.4.e Travel down an old country road on a lazy afternoon just two old friends, out for a drive. A country lass and an urban miss. The old hydro lines are what caught my eye. We stopped so I could get a shot. We were not that far off the beaten track, yet, the fields of green, and the old lines, gave me a feeling of another time and place,.

Best of all I was with someone who had grown up in the country, and loved the fields of crops and the newly cut hay just as much as I did. We would sigh with contentment when we passed peaceful gathering of cows enjoying the shade of sprawling trees sheltered by outcrops of large boulders and rocks.

Too often I am traveling down a major highway or road to a destination, this was a just because drive. No deadline, no specific time frame, just a drive, with a stop for lunch at a marina along the way. talking was optional.

alexandrria 8,4,18 Be kind to yourself. Make time for you. Lazy summer days are few and far between when we live a busy lifestyle.

That day we had mostly sunshine, but the rain did fall, we got the black rolling clouds, and vivid display of lightning. Made our day complete. Have you ever smelled the lush green meadows after a rainfall? Experienced the return of the sun and clear blue skies after an explosive down pour. the change in temperatures during all this variety of weather. Mother Nature works her magic in very special ways.

Get out and enjoy the day, make today a special day.

With the blistering heat and the high humidity, I scanned through back files to find a picture that was more welcoming to my wilting enthusiasm for another summer day.

Good morning everyone, how are you all doing this July 2. In the States I guess you are winding down or up for the big celebrations coming your way in a few days. Here In Canada we are recovering from the sweltering heat wave that lasted for all of the Canada Day celebrations. Last night I was outside when I felt the change in the air, the build up of clouds, and the whipping of branches as the non descriptive breeze turned into a very expressive energy that was very interesting to see.

I stood stock still, wanting to take in this explosion of dynamic vitality that surrounded me. I could smell the moisture that was building, I knew that it would only be seconds and it would start to pour. Lightening flashed, thunder rolled, and then, only after seeing the light flash across the sky, did I move. Just as I closed the door, I heard the drumming on the windows.. the rain had arrived.

Thinking it is coming.. makes me feel a whole lot better. =^_^=

A start to a new work week, continuing your summer vacation, whatever your plans, stay cool, don’t overdo, and most importantly, be happy.

Wisdom is a divine endowment – not a human acquisition

Happiness is not the absence of conflict, but the ability to deal with it

Found this quote in one of my profiles. I for some reason, did not note where I got it from, but the words aren’t mine, however, at the time, I must have connected with the sentiment.

There are days when I feel like “ I am” on a stage … that I am rehearsing or going through a chapter that is “in progress”. For sure, what I am living is my personal experience. Today while in meditation, I revisited, or tried to, my interpretation of an event that is yet to happen. Then the spotlight shone down on me, and I knew I had to be in the present. To succeed I have to be present.

Every frame of the “scenes” being lived, needed my focus on the present if I was to even “live” to experience the pending “event”

Ah life, it is a beautiful exhilarating happening, isn’t it.

Enjoy the first day of a new month.
