Don’t Hold Anything Back

Always approach things with full enthusiasm and energy. Then things will develop in a new direction.
When I started my magic pony, I was not wanting, nor had I any thought of a pony I was working my water-colour paints in a way I would usually work my acrylics. The more I seemed to try to go in one direction, the more the paints pulled me in another. Finally I just stopped, stood back and stared at the page. That is when I took the picture I used yesterday. I could see this face looking at me, and it said “My Little Pony” What???? I remember seeing these pink ponies in the toy section of various shops. Of no interest to me. Nope, not into pink ponies.
OK, I decided to ignore it.. and leave it overnight. Hello.. next morning the face I saw was still there. Since I have learned over the years, that if I see something and it doesn’t go away, if I tried to obstruct or force another direction.. the results would be a disaster .. meaning I wouldn’t like it, and it would be a “garbage” page.
We learn from our mistakes. If I was to give it my all, then I needed to follow my instinct, so what if it didn’t pan out, it wasn’t going to anyway. So.. I played with it till the words/feeling was to “stop” Now I’ve put it aside, and we will see if I am called back to it or not. Meanwhile I have my “magic” or “fantasy” pony.
Life is. The little face makes me smile. Go figure.
Friday the 16th. Live it to the fullest. Make it count.

Miss Piggy waves hello.. a cheerful pot of tea, she is dropping in to wish you well, We have a bright sunny day here, milder temperatures too. I think I heard thunder rolling across the winter night sky in the early morning hours. Warmer air, passing over and pushing down on the colder air below.

OK this is a happy sound, but for me, I found recently a pair of these at a thrift shop so I was very happy.. The jingle of change to acquire them, pleased me big time…
Oh happy days, get to wear bell bottoms again. Great in winter when you want your boots to find under them.. and really, fashion or not.. they are comfy, slimming and just plain, me. tra la la, la la la laaaaaa….

The clerk at Nordstrom, held up this evening bag for me, it was on sale for hundreds of dollars, I bought the backpack (purse) in her right hand. I’m silly, but not “there” yet… for a “lark” maybe, but not at that price. =^_^=

Sunday greetings..
People were being seated at the table next to us, so I quickly snapped my picture, not knowing how many were in the group and where they would sit. The view you see above is what I had been enjoying while I dined on my fish and chips (pub style) the slaw that was served with it, was done with fall veggies.. different and very tasty. It however was the view that help my attention, and my friend who had introduced me to this charming pub, assured me that after we ate, we could walk out side for more. In the summer it seems there is an upper patio where one can enjoy a brew and eat with friends while appreciating the roar of the water below.
the rushing water looked so vibrant and yes I will say exciting. It had a purpose, it was going somewhere. The nippy frost in the air was a perfect companion for its journey.
There are days when I feel my life is flowing like the water was yesterday, where the movement is so fluid that I am lost in the vapours of the rush. The roar was constant, the movement rolling, and in some places it was careening past as if chased by demons.
Yet for all the movement, there was a sense of tranquility.
Life was at its very best, time spent with a friend, a good meal, nature’s ambient sounds and visuals,that filled our senses, The “world” was alive.. the sun was shining, the air clear and invigorating…perfect.

Good Tuesday morning to one and all. I have used this picture before, I don’t recall where I got it, but it is one I’ve obviously kept. It still has an appeal.
I believe in balance. There is no wrong without there being a right. Everything seems so subjective, it is not always easy to find objectivity. We try. At times it is like walking a tight rope with no safety net. Even when we see and intellectually know the safety net is there, We doubt.
Today, no matter what, I want a happy day. So… I found Pippa’s post on Instagram… come on… doesn’t she make you smile. She gets my smile every time.
It is our choice, to want a happy day, or to allow challenges to cloud our day. PL Precept #1 Life is Art. Sometimes we need creativity to see the opportunities, if you need a boost, find what makes you smile and go for it.
