today 15th

anniversary of my husband’s passing.

“from The Prophet. Your joy is your sorrow unmasked. And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears. and how else can it be? The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain. Is it not the cup that holds your wine the very cup that was burned in the potter’s oven? And is not the lute that soothes your spirit the very wood that was hollowed with knives?

When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy.

When you are sorrowful, look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.

Some of you say ‘Joy is greater than sorrow’ and others say ‘nay sorrow is the greater’ But I say unto you, they are inseparable. Together they come, and when one sits alone with you as your board, remember tht the other is asleep upon your bed.

Today’s calendar…

Express your feelings straight away. It will be good if you could express your feelings as they are to people around you, when you are happy or when you are troubled. Also it will be a good chance for you to get to know others.

Nov 18 Evening Grosbeaks

Happiness is … finding that the Evening Grosbeaks have come to dine. I have learned to really appreciate the wonderful talents of photographers like Dan (Dan Cadieux) who can patiently wait in the cold for just the right moment to capture a moment in time that you may or may never see again. Dan’s photos are simply put … awesome.. https://www.instagram.com/dancadphotography/ his photos are works of art… I asked if he could capture part of the group that had gathered to feed.. and he did.. he is a walking “wonder” et voila…. I got this in my morning mail. Brightened the day! Thank you Dan!

Help the people around you smile more. Always strive to make those around you smile. That will bring you joy too.

There is a quote from a book called the Prophet “speaking of talking – you talk when you cease to be at peace with your thoughts; and when you can no longer dwell in the solitude of your heart you live in your lips, and sound is a diversion and a pastime. And in much of your talking, thinking is half murdered. For thought is a bird of space, that in a cage of words may indeed unfold its wings but cannot fly” ..(the Prophet, Kahlil Gibran)

World Peace day in PL

A harmonia promove a Paz
Harmony brings us Peace
Together we can make it happen

Let there be space in your togetherness, and let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love. Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.

One day you will ask me which is more important? My life or yours? I will say mine and you will walk away not knowing that YOU are my life.

The tree

ec90095ea978e96e9a3ed4124392357eThe tree is one of the most essential of traditional symbols.  the oak was sacred to the Celts; the ash to the Scandinavians, the lime tree Germany, the fig tree India, etc.  Trees express an selective correspondence, symbolism of the tree denotes the life of the cosmos, its consistence, growth, proliferation, generative and regenerative process.  It stands for inexhaustible life.  The tree with its roots in the ground and its branches reaching towards the sky, symbolizes and upward trend, which it relates to other symbolism as well.

The above picture for me reminded me so much of a passage written by Kahlil Gibran, that i went in search of it to share it with you today.

“Let there be spaces in your togetherness, And let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other’s cup but drink not from one cup. Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf. Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone, Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music. Give your hearts, but not into each other’s keeping. For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts. And stand together, yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow.”
― Kahlil GibranThe Prophet

Read and take in his words today…. let it fill your meditation, find how it applies to your life/circumstances today.  Respect and courtesy are reflections of how much we value others. ” Pay particular attention to the continuing development of your character, you have the Potential Energy for an enlightened insight that could change your life.”   Tao.
