Pumpkins bump in the night – who will ring your doorbell tonight… have you prepared for the ghosts and goblins that will roam the streets tonight… moaning and groaning the vampires and zombies will stumble and grumble under the moonlight … while witches and elves will sneak up and thrill on your screams of fright.
In most towns and cities in the North American hemisphere there will be weird and wonderful hauntings happening … this will be a week-end of parties and fun,, Whatever you get up to, enjoy!

Do you ever find yourself hesitating to show kindness to someone? It is when you put your thoughts into action that you can show other what is in your heart.
If your mind is always full ….. how can new ideas filter through…. life is still unfolding.. there is no fixed self,… a conversation can challenge your assumptions… to be open is to be free… the mind like the body, must remain supple… if you are to move with the currents of life.
The bigger the task, the more your convictions are tested
Whenever you are undertaking a huge task, you may encounter resistance. Don’t give up, and let your strong resolve carry you to completion.
We all have different ways of feeling and thinking
Let’s always accept others’ differences and respect one another. Remember that “different strokes for different folks” is the key to having harmonious relationships with the people around us.
Time for pumpkin pies, ginger breads, when we walk by a bakery the spicey aromas are so inviting. Yesterday I met a man who was gathering heaps of decorations, he has a discarded Xmas tree, he is going to put it up on his front lawn decorated with Halloween and fall decor. Yup, its time for the corn brooms to be taken out and prepared for moonlight flights…
I feel the energy in the shops… in a few places even the Xmas decor is making an appearance.

There are pumpkins everywhere these days. the small ones they sell for making pies .. are wonderful cubed and used in stir fries or simply steamed and buttered with your favorite spices.

The woodland creatures are waking up, the fresh invigorating breezes are ruffling the colourful leaves, you can feel the crispness creeping in… the skies are a brilliant blue, with startling white clouds lazily floating and drifting… creating delightful panoramas. Drives along open roads with farmlands sprawling on either side of the road, interspersed with woodlands that are waving a multitude of bright red and zesty yellow and oranges are beckoning, The world is a kaleidoscope of brilliant colour.
If you are cheerful, it will make everyone around you cheerful

Wow,,… I got the most amazing rush when I had my first taste of these battered lotus root (frozen ready to eat after cooking)… if you can find them, give them a try, I got these from an Asian grocery store… (I cooked them up in my air fryer)(8 min)

A Door, doors are built to allow us access to a building and then to leave it. While we are inside, we are protected from the elements and the world outside.. The door is our method of returning to the outside world and the chaos and cacophony that is forever trying to invade and influence our “Quiet “‘
The door comes in a wide variety of colours even shapes and sizes, the dictionary says it is a “a hinged, sliding, or revolving barrier at the entrance to a building, room, or vehicle, or in the framework of a cupboard.” I have seen doors that are imposing and others that are just sturdy and practical. Think about it … where would we be with a door.?

Time appears to stand still when you come across a peaceful scene along the river. The gentle curving of the walkway meant that you slow down your pace…. your eyes follow the shoreline, birds are singing happily from somewhere off in the distance. It feels good to have the moment to yourself, The sun is high in the sky, but the surrounding trees are providing dappled shade. This walkway follows the wanderings of the Rideau River…along Riverside Drive (Ottawa)… There has been a lot of construction this summer along Bank Street, (cross street) This could be the reason, but in my exploring the other day, there were very few people enjoying the “park” ..note… the colours are starting to appear. Mother Nature has begun to weave her magic.
When you are not having fun, could it be because you’re being lazy
Sometimes you feel blue or can’t seem to find the joy in doing anything. At times like this, just get up and move your body or work your mind to the fullest extent.
