Not all plants are exotic beauties, or graceful ballerinas….Some simply grow happily in the sunshine, drinking up the rain, and enjoying life because it is such a joy to do so. They provide diversity for all the woodland creatures, and to those of us who visit, they are there to welcome us as we arrive, and bid us adieu as we leave.
Open up Opportunities by being proactive. Opportunities don’t just come knocking on the foot. Use your enthusiasm and energy to bring good fortune your way.

When you think “I’ve got it” think again, It is so easy to misinterpret the situation and jump to conclusions. Always have a humble attitude and double check to make sure.
Wild Sumac growing plentifully in a nearby green space.
Sumac is a beautiful plant, I tried to grow it once, it is hardy in our area, however it is also very aggressive. I thought it would be nice in an area of the property, but soon had to start digging it out. It grew and grew and grew.. all over… Everywhere!
In other areas of the world Sumac is cultivated and used as a herb, spice, tea, it is considered to have many health benefits as well. From my past experience with it.. I now enjoy it when I go on walks, or come across it in my travels while hiking.. The desire to have it in my personal space, has long gone.
My experience with the Sumac is much like some of my other “encounters/experiences” while progressing along on this road of “life” Some experiences I explored and moved on.. and others I have retained in my “memory bank” and bring out from time to time to reflect on how the experience enriched my life.
Begin your day with appreciation. Welcome each new day with renewed appreciation, and step forward with a feeling of World Peace in your heart.

I stood on an old solid wood bridge that spanned this little gurgling waterway.
One direction led past the old homestead, and the other, wandered down into the countryside.
In the moment of my being there, I got to experience both sides, of the ONE body of water as it moved along.. gurgling happily as it tripped over the rocks and valleys of its bed.
Each moment of our lives, we too are captured by the Universe in our daily execution of our daily “living”.
Be thankful to your parents and to your ancestors. You are here today because the “torch of life” has been continuously passed down. always remember to be thankful.

Sometimes, we find ourselves in a place we shouldn’t be. such was the moment when I discovered that the off road trail, was restricted.
My error was discovered on driving unto the road. Easy fix.back on foot, I got a few snaps of this wonderful wonder land.
Enjoy the moment while you wait. things come about when they are meant to happen. think of what you an do for the time being, and don’t rush the outcome.
life in its many formshere it was the sounds from deep within the shadows that caught my attention

If you are not grateful, then o matter how much we have we will not be happy – because we will always want to have something else or something more.

Luck is not chance, it’s toil, fortunes expensive smile is earned.
I have a soft spot for rocks. There is something about a rock that seems to be so attractive and mysterious at the same time. I have never come across a rock that I have not enjoyed meeting. They come in all shapes and sizes, for sure some are more valuable than others.. depending on their composition… For me.. they are story tellers. Each one has its very own unique story line. This group with the water as a backdrop appealed to me, I studied it for some time. There was a seating area near by…
is this not inviting?
I dared not sit .. I wanted to badly, but I was not dressed for the brisk freshness of the early morning. It will be my “destination” on another day. the above rocks are just off to the left of this wonderful chair. I picture myself there on one of our famous “indian summer” days lazily allowing the day to wash over me.
Treat today as if it your first time around. Just because you succeeded in the past ti doesn’t guarantee that things will go as smoothly this time around. Every day, each moment, there is a new challenge to face.

I will get to see the rocks in a different light, I will be curious to see if the same images appear. Enjoy the coming week… Sleep sweet dreams this evening, and if it is morning when you read this.. have a stunning day!
