uh huh not going no where – that is thick crusted heavy snow. Had to use the shovel to move the snow from that one step and it was not cooperating.. it was wanting to stay right where it was.

In a virtual world there is no limit to the visual wonders that are presented to us to explore and delight in. The artist has no boundaries.. the weather conditions don’t deter his/her creativity. There is something special about a smile that reaches the eyes… When you pass someone and they catch your eye, smile and say…”hi.. have a good day”…. or simply smile, nod and say “good morning/good day” It goes a long way… it can brighten a day.
Raising money for charity.. everyone always joins in…This event was Relay for Life.. there are a lot of cancer survivors who pay back… join us in a good cause. there are many people who at this time of year need an extra bit of cheer. Just because you see a happy exterior does not mean there is not a heart needing a hug … Sometimes the only company someone gets is sharing time with someone else that is “house bound”, alone, without family, or simply… on his/her own, over the festive season.
To finish the moment, to find the journey’s end in every step of the road, to live the greatest number of good hours, is wisdom.
Someone wrote on his/her profile they preferred to take the roads less traveled. This morning as I took my time driving to the feeders, I revelled in the serenity of the road I was on. There is something to be said about going somewhere early in the day, before many are out and about (it was after all a Saturday )
I wonder who is happier . me when I see the birds waiting for me to clear the snow and open my trunk to access the seed/suet, or the birds. They sing and begin to fly to the feeders, some come directly to me and land on my scoop with the feed, no longer shy they just dive in and fly away with their prize.
Help the people around you smile more. Always strive to make those around you smile. That will bring you joy too.
With the snow still falling… I wanted to hear the water rushing, see it happily gurgling along… I have not seen this much snow this early in December in awhile. Everyone wishing for a white Xmas will be happy…. so will the X country skier’s and snowshoes trekkers/ hikers… it is pretty, I’ll give it that. Hopefully the roads will be plowed. The forecasters are still calling for snow warning….
Start today with a fresh outlook. Even though people and situations may look the same, they are constantly changing. Start each day with a fresh mind.
This fell in a very short period of time. The forecast is it will continue to fall all day in huge amounts. They are calling it a mammoth storm. Temperatures are around 30 degrees F. and are aging to stay in that range for the day. I am considering my options… Appointment for winter snow tires is next week.

If ever ever I have any doubt that the holiday season has arrived, I visit friends who know just how to celebrate the season. Every year their home is one huge present to the neighbourhood. At night the house, trees, and inside are a festive kaleidoscope of colour. The one tree you see is festooned with hundreds of ornaments. Every year I get to meet new pieces.
The house is ablaze with cheerfulness, no matter where you look, there is colour, sparkle and the joyful wonder of the season … this takes hours and days to do. Their makoto (sincerity) in sharing their love of the season… echoes and vibrates in the atmosphere. That little nose you see is one of 5 little pups, maybe all of 5, 6 weeks old.. The other dogs, whippets and borzoi were resting in their crates. Believe it or not.. the house is usually full of active dogs.. yet the decorations and except for one or two favourite ornaments – the welcoming scene remains intact for all to enjoy.
If you’re going to do it, give it your best effort. Your actions will be dulled if you worry too much about the outcome. Once you decide on a course of action, don’t hesitate to complete your task.

I asked for his coordinates… you can see, I had a hard time deciding which of his photos I wanted to use.. he had a Raven…. ahhhh be still my heart… and then I saw the Wild Turkeys… my heart skipped a beat…. and and… and.. look at the turkey vulture…!!! the faces.. so adorable..
