I spent a good part of yesterday looking for something. I really looked everywhere, walked around outside to see if it had fallen from my pocket. Checked my coat pockets many times, emptied my purse, I was determined. No dog muzzle. So after another search this morning, I gave in and ordered another one for curb side pick up. I wanted to take something out to the car, so had to grab my purse which I had emptied twice, to find my keys.. …. … guess what was hanging from the purse strap. Like Duh! SMILE everyone.. today we SMILE, and SMILE some more. =^_^=

I have gone many times to Merrickville, but it was only on my last visit there that I came across this giraffe. I stood for some time looking at it, before I walked down the street to get a better look. Years ago I had attempted to do some sculptures with chicken wire, I know the effort and time I had to put in to accomplish what results I did get.
This tall imposing giraffe was a marvel to me. There were not that many people about that day, so I was able to stand and enjoy him/her for some time. The posture, the face, the use of the stones all came together so beautifully. I’m sorry now that I did not attempt to find the owner and perhaps the creator…. (note to self.. a revisit soon or when weather permits and the season is right.)

Oophs.. click, click, really! in my efficiency I deleted and cleared out mail that I had in my IN folder, then I manually cleared out the deleted file. Like DUH. What did I have for supper.?? I read the incoming, but some I had left to return to, I wanted to reply, or comment. Sorry… I had good intentions however, my efficiency manager, took a wrong turn in the gray matter.

Fall and winter is when we get to see just how many trees there are in the the forest If you happen by at just the right time, you get to see their shadows adding to the design of the textures on the ground.
We had a light dusting of the snow still on the ground from the snow that fell the other day. Today with the warmer weather, it could disappear, in my next shot you will see the wonderful earthy colours of the ground that was more open to the sunshine.

Years ago I saw this plant and knew I had to have some in my garden. Now I have a wonderful bed of lanterns, so pleasing to the eye. It was my friend Eartha tho’ who took the initiative to actually get a picture before the frost comes and puts them all to bed for the winter. Thank you Eartha.

We are all facing the challenge this year on how we will celebrate (Hallows Eve) Halloween. A time when many enjoy the crazy silly ways we can welcome the coming season, and say good-bye to the summer. In Canada we already have had Thanksgiving, but our neighbours in the States, are preparing for theirs. Pumpkins, and all the trimmings of that holiday are bountiful in the shops and outlets. Fall is a brilliant season!!
However you decide to spend this week-end.. be safe, be careful and stay well.
With us all slowing down and having to regroup, revisit our daily activities, one of the past “loves” has come back into my life. Music. There was a time when I listened to music from morning till bedtime. Over the years it has fallen into a “when time permits” place.
Now I have discovered YouTube music where anything and everything I have ever listened to or liked pops up for me to review and listen to without commercials. That with my Sirius Xm in the car.. makes for a whole new “ball game”. Yes I can have the Xm in the house on my devices here. but somehow I have just never had the time or inclination to figure it out.
My walk along the boardwalk the other day, enabled me to rekindle my love of “new discoveries” being in the outdoors, reveling in the sights and sounds of a new “discovery”. Life is Good.
