“now”

Put all your effort into the “now”. You can only do your absolute best right this moment, not in the past, not in the future, but now. (PL2018.27)

A mustard seed is a very small seed, that when planted it becomes a tree producing millions of mustard seeds. It doesn’t “think” “Oh, I’m really a tree, and I know I can be one, ” Once planted – if properly nurtured, it will just do it. When we believe and have faith that everything will turn out all right, it will be as it should be. The moment is fine, just as it is. whatever that may be.

PL Precept #16 All things progress and develop.

PL Precept #17 Grasp what is most essential.

PL Precept #18 Each moment is a turning point.

today

Where has the day gone, as I sit and ponder the events of the day, I realized the time comes and goes so quickly, one minute it is time to get up and before I know it, it is time to call it a day. I have learned over time to try to live each moment with intent and purpose, yet no matter the day/night, when I actually stop to take in the moment.. I am surprised that much of the time came and went, and I am still looking at NOW.

Do What you can, with what you have , with where you are. (Theododre Roosevelt)

Here is a thought for you… do you agree?

Your feelings of appreciation become real when you express them. Express your feelings of appreciation by actually saying “thank You” out loud or by doing something to show how you feel. Not only will the person you are thanking feel good, but you will too, leading to better things in the future. (PL2014.210

Appreciation

Accept everything with Appreciation. Become a person who can be thankful for anything that happens to them. A person who is always thankful is a happy person. (PL2016.21)

Most of the shadows of this life are caused by our standing in our own sunshine. (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

It’s easy to place the blame on others and society for the problems you encounter in life. But you are the one with the power to change the outcome. (PL2019.28)

Breathe life into things and money.

The value of things and money is revealed when they are utilized as material to express yourself. Express your full Makoto (sincere effort) when using them (2014.20)

Loved this creative way of showcasing what was.. Touring along a dusty country road, where there was a lot lush vegetation, It was a refreshing sight to find an old barn that was being used as a backdrop for old pieces of rusting metal farm equipment and an old bike.

There is an implement on the bottom row that reminds me of the ice “tongs” used to grab big chunks of ice stored in “ice” barns.. in the days before refrigerators. Does seeing these old pieces remind you of another place and time? I see there is a bigger one upper left. I love rusted metals, can anyone shed light on some of the history showcased here?

Have a great start to your week!

You grow by overcoming the obstacle in front of you, one by one. Look at your problems as opportunities for growth and make the best of your situation. (PL2014.9)

With the heat of these past weeks, and the high humidity, I realized I had to take steps to make changes. I used to attend a Health Club “gym” on a regular basis, going 4, 5 even 7 times a week. It was a quiet place, where I could get in my walking, some biking, light weights etc. and even rowing in. Then my husband got sick and that fell by the wayside. I last attended in 2017, this week I signed up again, and will slowly adjust my daily routine to include time at Movati. There have been changes .. the quiet mat to do stretching has been moved to another area, its a big place,, you can google it if you are interested. I wandered yesterday and found nooks I can have quiet moments in, The fireman ropes are now in a strength training (heavy work out) area where I can access them easily. It should be good for me, I want to make sure I still get my 2 miles in a day.

The mosquitos and biting insects have worn me down, I need to move on.

How about you, has the season so far been good for you. ? . We all need to make the time to reflect on how we are doing/coping, There is so much turmoil and negative energy around these days.

Have a good day everyone!

There are so many doors that I’ve come across over the years.. this one is not fancy, it isn’t part of historic site, but it is part of a very welcoming veranda .. on a busy street of a small town where tourist flock in the summer to be near the water. The lawn is always manicured and the flowering shrubs seem to always be in bloom, at least when I have been visiting the town. The chairs are placed so that the owner(s) can sit and watch the world go by.

In today’s busy world where usually everyone is in a hurry, needing to get this done, or get somewhere, I found this little bit of “tranquility” inviting. The door seemed solid, reliable and there to ensure the visitors were welcomed .. either to sit and visit on the veranda or be admitted inside. The house with the pretty veranda, inviting chairs, without the door would be “a blank wall ” .. look … without the door, there is no invitation to come and sit a spell, agree? The door is what makes the “magic”

When was the last time you sat and just watched the world go by. I mean a lazy laid back, sit and simply enjoy the moment… moment? No cell phone, iPad, tablet .. just YOU.. oh ok, maybe an ice cold beverage.
