Thursday Doors

Thursday doors is a feature of Norm’s blog Norm 2.0, I really love to be able to share, my love of doors, these were solid and welcoming even if somewhat stern.

The next two pictures were taken in the town of Rockland itself, didn’t get the doors up close, I enjoyed the possibilities from my bench on the other side of the street, a lot of traffic for a small town, but did manage one of the former manse without a moving vehicle. Nice way to spend a sunny day. Lounging =^_^=

Once you’ve prepared everything to the best of your ability seize any opportunity that comes your way, take action without hesitation. Express yourself to the fullest.

The world is not only full of colour, but provides us with an abundance of textures, variation on shades and so much more, Yes there is beauty in a flower, but the subtle shading of the vegetation that often is the back drop for a flower(s), is more lasting, and enduring. Changing with the season we can never be bored. We need to see beyond transient beauty. The icing though good, and often very pretty, would be nothing without the cake. It exists because of the cake.

halloween, sept.7 Will I ever grow up, probably not, there is a part of me that loves the creative fun of the October season. The leaves start to change colour, the air in the mornings is fresh and crisp. Makes for a happy me. OK I confess my preference in life is to living happy.

I know of one of you for sure, that is groaning and shaking her head as she sees this post. “it is still September ” she will moan. But giggle and groan, Boooo Whooooo, this is a smile per page.

PL Principle 12 I will get up pleasantly in the morning.

I will never tire of saying, be happy, make that your choice, and the goal you have for every day and night. When I play with my stickers, paints and ideas, I get right into it, it is about me, me little old me, enjoying myself. Let us not forget the stolen hours, checking out thrift shops and crafting places for the materials, It is not about spending, it is about searching out the hidden treasure that will work (maybe) to help in your redesigning of an old book, or putting colour down on a fresh blank canvas.

Bom dia, Greetings dear friends, another week-end is here and again, I see that the sun is shining down giving us a beautiful day. The time has been flying by, it seems it has been one sun filled day after another.

That said, I know it is end of August, and soon the magnificent fall season will be here. The countryside will be alive with the jewel colours of autumn. This year I will be ready to explore the changing colours.

LOL One can never have enough shoes. At one time I would have thought that this applied mostly to women, but now I know better.

When we live each day, really live it, we extend our capacity for life and the joys in it No matter what that happiness is. Yesterday I got to have an unexpected trip to my favourite shoe store, the pleasure of a friends company, and then came home to find a wonderful bouquet of flowers waiting for my pleasure and enjoyment. Two wonderful surprises in one day. Wowwwweee.

Yes life is unpredictable, and not every day is a grandstand day, but everyday will hold the mysteries of our environment, it is up to us to be receptive and open to the gift of life, and living.

Sharing and spreading joy…. what a blessing for you and those around you. Reach out and say hello, smile, for no other reason than because you can.

I woke up thinking about how often I am struck with the fact many people spend their waking hours searching for something that they already have. Reality. Think about it, we live it every moment of our lives. The key is for us to be aware of our true selves and to take responsibility for the lives we live.
