in the woods

A friend returned to the area, she obviously pulled it out of the area I had felled it in, and put it up against the tree on the other side of the feeding area. Friends are invaluable treasures!

It was my first time out on my own… I was careful, however, what did my day in was that when I got home I decided to do a wash (laundry) and had to do the stairs several times.. That gave my leg its last hurrah, it shoved back… it is now back in an upper brace, to assuage the swelling.. and I will rest and put it up to let it regain the steps it lost yesterday!!!

However the outing itself was “awesome” I loved the solitude and welcome silence of the woods as I entered. I was able to feel the freshness and smell the fallen leaves. This is my favourite time of year. The blue jay with his brilliant blue and white plumage came to the party, and sang his delight at finding the peanuts. They (the birds) didn’t reprimand, they were joyous in their acceptance of fresh seed.

Speaking of food, hmmm its breakfast time… =^_^=

Don’t think overly about people. Instead of being excessively concerned about others, focus on what you should do.

Saturday Haunting

Look who is coming for dinner…

Anyone coming to my house can expect soft food. I finally had my appointment with the oral surgeon who did his “thing” on me back in April. Today he opened up the healed wound to insert screws… At long last I’m a step closer to the final steps. No candy or hard food for the next while, he’s put me back on a “soft” diet.. Pumpkin pie is soft, right!!! ice cream and whipped cream…

Do things joyfully instead of taking it easy. Enthusiastically engage with what’s in front of you. You’ll enjoy it more.

Friday haunts

taken by Shirley Keen, NZ

Not living in NZ, I cannot but imagine what it must be like to stand on the shoreline under such skies and taking this picture. I love the brooding oranges and dark clouds.

Shirley Keen, NZ

I went back into the file with her photos, and found this one, again.. she sees this on her walks every day/night… Not at all what I would see if I walked around my city street in the evening. We are all on the same planet, but our views, our geography is so different. The same applies in how we see life itself. We all experience love, pain, happiness, grief, but all in our own way.

Shirley took this next picture on one of her “walks” she ventured further than her immediate area, and walked along different paths.. One of the pictures she took ..(for me) was a “wow” moment.

Port Nelson. NZ

Because I live smack in the middle of a busy city, this is not something I would get to see unless I was on a holiday somewhere, and out for a walk in the evening. Even then if I wasn’t in the geographical area, where she was at the time of taking the picture, same longitude/latitude etc. I would not “see” or “capture” that same moment.

This is also what happens to us on/in a day to day, when we chat and talk with friends, we share experiences, and the friend will hear what we are saying and form their own “picture” of what is being said.. but they will never have the exact same experience.. this is why communication is so key in any kind of relationship. Personal, business or otherwise..

No one can take away the joy you get from putting your whole heart into something. The joy you feel when you’ve put your all into something is yours and yours alone. Nobody can take that away from you.

Honestly love IS unconditional

Chop suey Thursday

Work is a pile of chores (minor things) How sincere are you in your daily life from morning till night? Life is a series of small things, a pile of small things, reminder, happiness is something not to neglect.

Rumours are curses. When people who like to gossip get together, they turn into the conversation into “bad language” Just being there saying bad things and so on is a negative. It is not wise to gossip

I picked a variety of “doors (openings) today, let your thoughts, imagination wander and explore the possibilities, of how and what these images evoke.

subtle changes – but changes they are

Let’s look at and listen to others with an open mind. Your judgement becomes clouded when you look at a situation or person with preconceived notions. Observe them for what they actually are.

Second Life is a virtual world that can be accessed from almost everywhere in the world. https://www.secondlife.com/ By now everyone knows about virtual worlds, and many of you are familiar with what an avatar is. To move around in SL, you need an avatar, but all that will be explained to you by visiting the SL (Second Life) website. If you are already in SL, then this is the venue you won’t want to miss. SAX on the Beach. https://wordpress.com/view/virtualnws8.ca

Two full days of live music, the musicians come from all corners of the world and all have their own unique way of presenting their music to you. The times they are playing ( you will see the schedule in the virtual news blog) will enable you to schedule a time convenient to you.

China is ready .. she has been at Pacifique enjoying the Halloween venue provided there, if you are in SL you can drop over to Pacifique to enjoy scaring yourself into a very fun time. see http://virtualnws8.ca/2021/10/21/news-october-21/

China taking care of two foolish skeletons who wanted to scare her.

The links I’ve provided will take you to two of my earlier posts that will give you (1) the details of the Sax on the Beach venue, and the Pacifique Halloween themed park. Halloween will run at Pacifique till the end of October and maybe a wee bit beyond.

October is my favourite month… I don’t get to dress up in RL, but in SL I have a blast.

Please pass this along to your music loving friends.. the Sax on the Beach is not an event to miss. Happens only once a year. Thank you to my wonderful caring friends who have been helping me while I heal. Friendships are treasures that one can’t find with a credit card, they are priceless.

Today in PL is Appreciation Day (formerly Thanksgiving) it is celebrated on the 21st of each month. We gather for a special ceremony at the church, services are held at 7 pm.

I have much to be thankful for, I have been unable to do to much for myself these past days, i.e a simple glass of water if it was out of my reach, was a total effort to attain if I had to get up out of bed and be mobile. Time heals, and with the help of my friends, I have managed, I am so blessed. I can now move around with the crutches in a much easier fashion, at times, I manage with one if the distance is short and there is furniture I can hold on to. A stool was placed in the kitchen so once I get there I can sit, reach the fridge, micro, toaster etc. and at least manage to get something to eat on my own.

It is easy to take for granted the mobility we have, I will certainly be more aware and remember to give thanks for all of my abilities and not take them for granted from now on. Appreciation is sometimes something we give lip service to, IT IS IMPORTANT.. our abilities, talents and skills are earned and when one is taken away even for a short time, “life” changes. In PL we ask that prayers start our day and end the day.

Service tonight is at 7 pm. if you cannot attend in person, please pray from home, Give thanks for the blessings received the past month, and ask for guidance for the coming weeks.

Express your appreciation with enthusiasm. Appreciation is the driving force for progress and development.
