The everyday things you do will show when it really counts. If you have a tendency to be careless about everyday matters, you cannot expect to perform well at crucial times.

I missed Canada Day because I was “under the weather” putting it mildly. Could it have been different, yes and no. In PL we believe things happen for a reason. I had a long day to reflect on how I got myself into such a state. The love and caring of friends, helped me to get through the “moment”… We don’t think we are being careless… “because, we always do something, or have “….

A wise Yoda ..” Change is constant, and change we must. We must be open to the observations and loving concern of others. “We” don’t always know best. ” One doesn’t always see the forest for the trees” ” Ok Yoda may not have said things in the same way. But you get my drift.

I have made a conscious decision, to be more aware, and to make changes.

One can only do one’s best!!

Thursday doors.

a memory, a treasure, once upon a time

Always think that “everything will work out” When you allow yourself to be pessimistic, your thought and actions become sluggish. Approach everything optimistically without hesitating.

A HOME is a special place. A door welcomes you home. This picture tells a story, each one of you will discover it in your own way. The first time I walked through a door of such a “home”.. I was struck with the simplicity of the building, and overwhelmed by the “life” it contained.

I had peaked into the window.. and I saw right through to the yard out back. Simplicity, sturdy, provided the necessity, protection from the elements, and those who shared the insides, appreciated and enjoyed the comfort it provided. Gratitude for the essentials in life.

A heart felt thank you, to the wonderful friend who thought to send me this photo when it was found. She sent me a few.. which I will share with you in time.. this one was the gem that my eyes found and stayed on when the package arrived.

Good Morning everyone, when you look out your window today, what do you see?

It is so easy to look and not see.. Think about it, you leave the house very day, sometimes to walk, sometimes you will drive, .. when you leave, are you looking at your surroundings, or thinking about where you are going.

I took out an old folding chair that had been tucked away out of sight and out of mind. When I opened it, I saw that the metal was rusted, and certainly was not appealing….my first thought was to give it away, it was still very functional, in fact it had been new when it was put out of sight.

On going out the side door to the laneway where I would take it to the curb (garbage day) or to my car to cart away, my eyes fell on an empty corner of the house. Where .. for years.. I have thought of having something there to sit on.. not for the view, it faces the garage and the wall of the house next door… I had just thought I’d like to sit there.. just never got around to doing anything.

I plunked the chair down, sat on it.. and looked around.. hmmm my wind wheel on the fence was spinnning with the breeze.. it was pretty. Then I noticed the vine I had planted when my new fence went in.. and and and. Yes suddenly I had a whole new “resting place”.. and it was cooler there in the shade of the house… the trees from my backyard were blocking any view of the neighbours in the back. Wow.. my little chair gave me a whole new “window” view…

A window view, is a whole new way of seeing a piece of life that you have yet to discover. Are you open to new discoveries.?..

a wee world

a wee one

It is much cooler in the wee world, where one can travel, play, explore and enjoy any temperature that pleases. along the mushroom trail is where you can find Q today, She is having a ME day.

Some days the greatest playground is the one that you can discover while never leaving home.

Be a person who can recognize the sincerity of others. When you put your whole heart into things you will be able to notice the sincere acts of others in the subtle things they do, and appreciate them that much more.

moments

a moment in the sun

I close my eyes tight

the moment will not disappear

physically there is no disappearing

my body is heavy

the sun is hot

I feel caught in the moment

moment in the sun

my restless mind is stopped

I feel the shade across my face

yet I am in the warm embrace

of a moment that won’t go away.

the heat, the moment

transports me to another time and place

moments ARE forever

they can never be relived.

good or bad

in that moment

you live, the past, present

and yes, the future

the shade will shift

with each breath I take

for my sake

I want the moment

to pass, and let me wake

another day, for

another moment awaits.

PL Precept #18 Each moment is a turning point.

yada yada bla bla bla

my attempt this evening at tea biscuits

raw white honey? butter? crab meat with garlic mayo? creamy almond butter? First time to use my made in Italy pan I found at the thrift the other day. You can’t see it, but the outer pan is lazy baby blue.

Be thankful at the beginning and end of each day. Each and every one of your actions can inspire peace within your family, your community and the world around you. This peace will eventually help lead to world peace.

PL Precept #20 Live maintaining equilibrium between mind and matter.

Thanks Chris for permission to use this photo, it reminded me of the many places that I explored with my husband during the lazy summer days of June, July… we’d seek out these out of the way, off the main road little pieces of paradise.

Not one of the trees in the wilderness are the same, each finds its place in the sun and thrives the best it can. Together they present a unified front, against a backdrop of blues skies and fluffy sculptures of cloud.

The cooling waters and unique shoreline, all combine to welcome the visitor, with awe inspiring vistas. Crystal clear air, a melody of natures songs filter through the day. It is peaceful, and when we take time to simply BE in this environment, are inner smile expands.. Our cares, our concerns vanish..

PL Precept # 11 Always be with God.

It is only natural that you are different from others. Each of us has our own way of thinking and our own individual lifestyles. That’s what makes life interesting.

Same bed, different bed cover, same lazy laid back whippet …Nothing new goes down, without his checking it out, for comfort. Ceiling fan is over head, he is content.. I have permission to leave on my errands.

When something comes to mind, do it right away. The moment that you notice, something is the best time to take care of it. IF YOU REACT QUICKLY, YOUR LIFE WILL BE MORE EFFICIENT.

Be Enthusiastic

If you are willing to deal wth things, you will be encouraged to do so, and will be given a new path. Everything that happens before you is God’s work.

It is important to take the first step, saying “OK, let’s do it” ) translation Mariko Inagaki

Your willingness to learn will make you shine even brighter. As long as you are motivated to learn more, you will continue to progress in life.

Perfect Liberty 2020.16

It is not always easy to stay positive, to continue towards “the light” when you feel encumbered or surrounded by negativity. In PL we are fortunate to have other members who will offer support and reach out to us, when the light dims… My friend Mariko in Japan, reminds me, that together, when we believe in Oshieoyasma, all things are possible.

Let us practice this lesson with enthusiasm.

hidden

Naikoon Rainforest in BC

Where can I go to hide.. so lush, so mysterious. … what sights and sounds will I find, will my sense be overwhelmed… gosh.. this is somewhere to discover… Think I’ll start a bucket list.

What reason to hide..non really… but there are times.. when I want to disappear for awhile.. (from day to day) and explore another reality in this wonderful world of ours.

BC is a long way from home. I never knew such a wonderful place existed, have any of you ever been ? if so, can you tell me about it?

Lately it has been a time of discovery, new and old experiences, have taken on new meaning, new depth, and my analytical mind is processing it all. Since my health related problems seem to be rectifying themselves I am feeling the slow return of my “old” self.. the one that loved exploring and adding to my already plentiful life experience.

I want to relearn, quiet, meditation, and nature in all its many forms. Life is for living, life is for sharing, life is beautiful. Travel with me.. let’s share and grow in LOVE for life. Make it a commitment.

PL Precept # 7 Everything exists in relativity.
