It was COLD yesterday morning, the blue jays were puffed up as they patiently waited for me to throw down their morning treat of peanuts in a shell. They do tackle the whole corn kernels and kibbe/sunflower seeds, but its the peanuts that they favour, Enthusiastic diners! With a prowling “eat you up” bird in the neighbourhood, I stayed with them ,.. going back and forth to my car to the various feeders which gave them the time to have breakfast … The “merlin” (Falco columbarius) is a small species of falcon that preys on the smaller birds. Another reason that I sometimes sit with them while they dine.. (mornings when it is as cold as it was yesterday, there are/were no other “human” visitors to be seen or heard from. it was Blissful!

Express yourself with a kind and thoughtful heart. Be attentive and put your whole heart into your expressions, as if you are aways trying to create a ” beautiful work of art,”

It was a sugar coated world yesterday . Mild, very pleasant. There is a simple joy in standing quietly while the fluffy snow flakes dance merrily through the air. Of course if I stood too long, there were complaints from the peanut gallery that the morning breakfast was being delayed. Interestingly when they see the chair and I sit.. they stop chastising me and go about cleaning up their “plates”… they seem to know, when the human sits and closes her eyes, I’m having a ” time out”.

Enjoy the day everyone, don’t know about where you are, but here, the airwaves are full of the holiday cheer “songs” and “stuff”

Be big hearted. In fact, what you are concerned about might be something you don’t need to be concerned about. Interact with people without worrying too much.

When a trail is closed it is usually because the forestry personnel didn’t get to clear parts of the trail that were blocked by fallen trees, before the weather changed, there is always a reason. sometimes it isn’t obvious, there could be a tree that has been snapped and hasn’t fallen yet, and again, the crews were unable to remedy the problem before the change in weather. Unless you know the trail and the woodland area well, stay clear until it is opened again. Please be safe,

We just need to give it more emphasis.. and to share our ability to bring happiness to others. Start with a smile. Smiles are infectious.

Being Thursday, there are more doors featured by those of us who participate.. on Dan’s site, No Facilities, here is your link.. https://nofacilities.com/2023/11/23/thankful-people/

ouch

Sometimes in life, we have to deal with challenges we were not expecting. How do you cope.. “let me count the ways”… It certainly took me by surprise one day to find that ouch.. that hurt, and .. contrary to what I thought. .. after a rest it did not go away. It did calm down, but it did stay around, and by the looks of it, it has no intentions of just packing up and going away. Others suffered with this painful “nasty” not me.. Hah! Nature does not play favourites

I do suspect I know some of the “sitiuations” that could have caused this latest flare up, the cold damp weather that has landed in the area, due to the coming season change. Not wearing proper footwear that my “current” time of life requires. i.e. heavy insulated outdoor gear .. is now too heavy for my unhappy hip joint to carry around when I’m out and about. Means.. I have to (had to) consider getting myself a pair of boots that will do the same job but are more lightweight and easier for me to maintain my “active” lifestyle.

We tend to want to continue doing things the way we did,,, and we don’t take into consideration that “change” affects us all…not just “others”. Have the new boots helped, yes.. but it will take time now for me to allow the joint to recover. This means.. R E S T I N G the joint when it says “stop” I need to heed the warning. Gosh.. rules, rules, rules..

This is thanksgiving week in the USA so for us here in Canada, we get to enjoy focusing on appreciation and practicing mindful awareness of all the good in our lives. Again.. note to self, this should be done regularly all the time.. without coaching or civic reminders.

This wonderful collage of Cardinals, was presented to us by photographer Michel Lanthier, to see more of his captures, you can visit his FB page https://www.facebook.com/michel.lanthier.79 an avid nature photographer, he brings the beautiful birds you see,( or don’t see,) that share our environment. I am blessed that I have a family of Cardinals that have adopted my feeders in the front yard, so I was delighted when I saw his post. I am never standing there with my camera .. and even if I was, I would be trying to take the picture through my Livingroom window. thank you Michel.

Be mindful with prayer. If you work on things with a prayerful heart, there will be many things you can be taught,

Perfect Liberty 2023.18

Perceiving equals doing. Each time you notice something, it is a gift from God. Don’t miss this opportunity to act.

Perfect Liberty 2021. 15

YOU are here now, take a minute to reflect on this moment. Each of these pictures will lead you to an “inner” thought, close your eyes, and simply BE. Takes just a minute, then go on with your day. Carry that peaceful moment of mindfulness with you into the day,

Happiness is sharing with YOU,

The path to achievement is “to start with what you can do” Try to find out what you can do towards challenges in your own situation, This will pave the way for achievement.

Perfect Liberty 2023.17

“Give voice to your needs” simple advice .. not always easy to do. We need recall and to notice how we feel, give ourselves time to relax and accept the moment before we move on.

Sometimes we have to accept that we are faced with limitations for a reason.
