timing
Every day there is new growth…
The heat is really hurrying the seasons. The magnolia which is now in full bloom, is also totally wilting and drooping, petals dropping… … the buds came out and …. the heat so intense …. they seemed to just burst out, then as if all the energy was drained out of them, they began in earnest to reach out, exhausted themselves and are now all over the ground.
Many of you are seasoned gardeners, what has your experience been with the magnolia trees, are they all so short (the flowers) lived.?? When the tree was younger, I seem to recall stronger blooms, that would stay around for weeks.??
Think of the timing before you say “but…” When stating your opinion, make sure you are being resepctfuly of others’ opinions. Be mindful of this when you speak.

May 13th.
I see this fallen tree every time I walk the trail at Mer Bleu.. and always I stop and ponder… could I walk across it. I want to try, I’ve looked at the distance I would fall if I lost my balance, not that far a drop, altho’ I am no longer in my twenties.. 30’s even.. so I hesitate. Maybe if I have someone with me when I attempt it… we shall see.
You can only change yourself. Before you start telling peple how they should do things, think of how you can be more flexible.

morning missive from Japan. –
2022/05/12 [Lilac] The flower language is “an important friend.” There are a lot of people around you. “Treasure” is hidden. “Treasure” doesn’t make money. You’re involved, you’re accepted, you’re cared for, you’re cheered up, Sometimes they worry and encourage me. Such an important companion is a treasure that money can never buy

Re- mosquitos .. started noticing them the other day. It wasn’t too bad, the odd bit of buzzing, but yesterday they were bolder, I suspect with each passing day they will get more persistent. Time to find another way to get my walking in. Something to ponder on. for sure.. long sleeves, neautral colours.. note to self, they bite through some clothing, somehow they even manage to get into your hair and will find any open areas to get at your skin. I am not exaggerating their zeal.
Have a grand day everyone, we have been experiencing weather in the 80’s here. day after day, we are not in the summer season yet. Forecast is for sunny skies and a lot of record breaking heat.

Where-ever we go, we are always experiencing life – some adventures take us up the trail, and others draw us further along to new discoveries. But. always, where-ever we go, there we are. We cannot escape our minds, and our thoughts.
Think “now is the time” instead of “it’s no use now” don’t give up by thinking its too late. Tell yourself that there is more that can be done.

lying in the sun
I admit to being a lazy one today. I got to the beaver pond, and decided to sit down for awhile and wait to see if the beaver(s)would come out. The sun was warm, there was no one around, the wooden planks were so inviting, I took off my padded vest folded it to make a headrest.. and… yup. I lay down right there. Stayed over to the side of the boardwalk so others could get by.. but made myself comfortable, stretched out.. and just let the sun work its magic.
The quiet of the day was soothing. Birds calling, even saw my first butterfly of the season, Today in PL, we celebrated the Day of Peace. Welcome a new month.
Every day is a new beginning. PL Precept # 18 Each moment is a turning Point.
