Wednesday !!!

drudgery

You can get all dressed up, do your hair, pretend its going to be a glamour day, but no matter how you cut the cake, if there is work to be done, or matters to be attended to that aren’t fun… You have to set your mind to the task and get it done.

giving a presentation can be fun, interesting and certainly if it is appreciated .. rewarding

Usually there is always a lot of hard work and effort that goes into putting/pulling something off in a seamless fashion, or presenting a “brilliant” feature documentary. For a brief time we can look very professional and maintain a certain air of efficiency and know how. BUT, we all need down time, and we all, each and everyone of us, needs time to regroup, to be still, to reconnect with our inner Selves.

Catching up and sharing time with friends.. that is IMPORTANT too. Here Alo was visiting with Sister Qu who is the resident hokyoshi (assistant minister) at the PL Center in Second Life. http://www.secondlife.com

The teachings of PL, the 21 Precepts and 21 Principles, are what help us navigate through the world we live in today… Stay in touch with what grounds you… what keeps you mentally and physically alert and positive. Life is too important to squander.

Obrigado PL por me ensinar amar assim Por ver Deus dentro de mim e em qulquer lugar

Thank you PL for teaching me to love, to see God within me, and everywhere around.

saying goodbye

saw the woodpecker today at Mer Bleue – got to say goodbye till next time..

With the snow melting, the sunshine working its magic… the days getting longer… the two areas I visited every day from last October till now.. have change. Yesterday I was unable to get my trunk open, so had to forgo putting out the rest of my feed. Today I went back .. I collected more feeders and filled a few for the birds that have remained for the time being. At Dewberry, there are still a couple of Grosbeaks, they chowed down happily on the fresh sunflower seeds I put out… There is a distinct change in the “ambience” of the area.. I was so intimately connected to the place, I can feel the difference. An interesting observation.

Mer Bleue I was interested in finding out, altho’ I could see and feel the difference in the little area I enjoyed all winter, it wasn’t as dramatic a change for me. I spent more time at Dewberry, often sitting in the little glade with them for a quarter of an hour or more.. In the below zero temperatures.. for me that was something “new”.. I can honestly say, I had a wonderful winter sharing with my little “bird families”.

Multitasking reduces your joy by half. When doing something give it your all. There is a joy in everything.

What I learned about myself this past winter is that I am able to get up and go out every day and feel re-energized. Not a winter person before, I now feel that I can say, I enjoyed being outdoors every day in whatever weather the day presented me with. With the birds I learned that it was an environment I could enjoy, and be comfortable in. Who would have thought, sitting in the snow during a snow storm visiting with birds would be an enjoyable pass -time..

WAITING

How many of us are spending time waiting. In my area, it seems that everyone around in different provinces or States have had their first, even some have had both of their shots. Meanwhile, we wait.

I’ve tried reading, I was as you know going out and feeding the birds, but now with the change in the weather, they are doing just fine.

Time is spent thinking, wondering when there will be a more balanced approach to how we spend our time, even catching up with friends in person, instead of by phone or virtual calls.

Even having the shot will not mean life will just return to “what it was” No, there will still be the need for masks and social distancing. Today there was segment on the radio about how the animals, especially dogs will adapt (not) when their humans return to working outside the home.

Now more than ever, we need to live being aware of the good, positive “things” “happenings” in our lives. The quote I posted yesterday, resonated with me then and even more today.

A thankful heart leads to happiness. When we really pay attention, we are surrounded by many things we can be thankful for, the society we live in, the kindness shown to us by others. You will be able to find true happiness when you can see and appreciate things.

Day of Appreciation 21st.

I will be forever grateful and thankful for this past winter’s experience of having met up and spent time with the birds at Dewberry and Mer Bleue. They got me up and out every day every single day since last fall, no matter the weather. I enjoyed the fresh air with them, shared in the bluster of the winter winds. In return they allowed me into their space and shared meals with me.. For this I can never repay the joy they brought into my life. I have much to be thankful.

Over the course of the many weeks and days, I met several wonderful new “friends”.. my friends of the forest =^_^=… the few photographers who have graciously allowed me to share their works of art with you, my dear readers.

There will be two services today at the church for the Day of Appreciation ceremonies. 10 a.m. and an evening one at 7 p.m. we ask that you reserve seating for the evening service please. We maintain social distancing, it is important that we all stay safe…. As usual if you are unable to be with us physically, please join us in prayer at 10 a.m. and / or in the evening at 7 PM.

Love YOU, you are in my prayers.. Always!

Change your mind, thinking “it will be alright” Do the best you can without being overly attached.

Perfect Liberty 2021.20

Be calm, be kind without compromising. Hesitating to share our true feelings hurts not only ourselves but others. While respecting the other person’s feelings, say what you need to say.

Awesome Cuteness 2

I had one of those sleepless nights.. a night where you know you are tired, but sleep just won’t come. It is elusive and simply not wanting to participate in your desire to sleep. I had a wonderful stroll through Num’s pictures again.. These cuties are adorable.

Have a great, productive and HAPPY Friday everyone.. stay safe..

Till soon.

Wednesday – Irish Green

kind of green

Today while out and about, I heard that it was St. Pat’s day, wearing of the green… I wondered how I’d missed that, I did know it was the 17th. and it was March… that is what this last year has been like.. I thought I’ll just find some green and take a picture.. well I was out of luck.. mid March in this part of the country, no green.

There was nary a leaf on the trees, nor was there anything on the ground but snow and ice. It was a beautiful day, not too cold, bright, sunny, but no green.

Since today is supposed to be a day of sharing and celebrating, I did want to share some green with you, I’d like all your day/;night(s) to be sparkling and bright. However should you decide to celebrate,… be safe.. and share good times with true love in your heart.
