sim entendo, yes I understand

Good morning, Bom dia dear friends. How often do we say these words, yet when we give it more thought, we realize that maybe we didn’t really “get it” or understand it, the way the person was explaining it to us. Because a lot of my creative expressions that are visual, are abstract, when I am done I have a feeling of satisfaction I can sit back and see all the many possibilities of what, if anything, had been going through my conscious mind, while I “played”

The other day, I had so much pent-up unproductive energy that I simply exploded, verbal garbage and anger past and present erupted. Such is life, when we least expect it, poof the angry dragon appears. Fortunately I am blessed with a happy dragon, and she is more powerful than her counterpart. She knows the angry dragon doesn’t have the staying power. WE, my dragons and I are happy munchkins.

In PL, we know that Each Moment is a Turning Point. PL Precept 18

Don’t let a negative moment in the day, ruin your day, accept it and move on.

Wednesday again

bom dia, este e um costume? no no, the dolls are coming home for the October festivities. Are they ready, they have been jabbering all night about their experiences and the stories they want to tell. The acts of kindness they have been able to participate in, now, with October just days away, they have made their way home to celebrate the month of the year, reserved for them.

They are aware that they are not like the rest, and stand out in a crowd. But each one is unique and has his/her own story … Here they are not judged by their “look” LOL or lack of, they simply can enjoy letting down their hair, not replacing an eye, wearing what they want, and and and, the list goes on. Who knows maybe one will have a story to tell that I can share with you. rubs hands with glee and gives a crackling chuckle.. “time will tell dearies”

Reasons

Bom dia..

Sim yes, my inspiration today is the bark of this tree. There is something about textures that appeals to me, I paint using textures, I create a lot of “art” dimensional, I have never analyzed why, I just like it. After a painting dries, I will close my eyes and gently run my fingers over the canvas to discover its hidden delights.

After years of trying to take in all of what I am seeing, I know that I can see a lot of things at one time, some details will stay with me, some won’t. So much like I did here, where I focused my lens on one area of the tree, I do that with life. I don’t ignore the rest of the picture, but when I see something that is of interest, then I delight in discovering what it is that is communicating with me.

If you are a photographer, you know we can walk by a landscape a zillion times, then one day, the lighting is just right, shades dance across our vista, and wow, we “see” an amazing sight. Just like walking out your back or front door, is different every time you walk into the “outside”. hmmm did she mean to say it that way.. yes I did =^_^=

Same day, same place, same time of day give or take, but a different tree. Each had its very own appeal to me. “that day” I suspect if I went back today, I couldn’t find them again. Thus the harping on… live each day to your fullest, today is today, and tomorrow will be a new beginning.

After going on about “observation” I will share with you an incident this morning. I washed my hair (I know exciting stuff) as I was towelling my hair I looked down and wondered what was sticking to my night “dress”. Hello I found the “bleeding” thing has a pocket. No, I didn’t know, and again no, it isn’t new. So you can see what I wear to sleep and around the house, does not get the attention I give to other areas in my life. Oh dear! I am human after all. sigh.

With that, I will wish you all good cheer, make the most of today, I am off to enjoy mine. Thanks for sharing this brief interlude with me.

Bom dia, Sabado…Saturday after a big storm. I woke to skies of blue, and clear as far as the eye can see. NO, not to Brazil, but wanted to share with you a birthday card I did for a friend. My interpretation of a birthday card, comes in many dimensions and depending on where it is headed, can be almost anything.

I learned at an early age, not to limit my imagination and creativity. Admittedly sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I do my best. Key words, do my best. In all we do, it is important that we do our best. Be in the moment, as long as we do our best, we will have no regrets. It applies to all we do and say.

We all encounter storms during our stay in this world, some emotional, some physical, whatever happens, we live through it and move on. Sometimes it is easy and sometimes it is not. Whatever, and wherever you are today, you are here, you are living another day. Do it well.

skull floral 2 Bom dia, Happy Friday dear my dears

Whooooo is getting ready for the witching month.

Whooooo has gathered her friends to discuss the possibilities

Me, that’s whoooooo!

The possibilities are endless of course, and I have changed my mind 1000 times at least. Think about it, isn’t one of the joys in life, anticipation. When we were children the excitement of special holidays, or time away from routine was always so exciting. Some included gifts, others trips, time for getting together with friends, and just plain old. play time.

As an adult, yes, now I can really say I am an adult…LOL no questions asked… for sure I am seen by many as something very different from how I see myself. That is something we call come face to face with. Life has it is seen by the different generations.

However .. the fall is the time of year where my creative juices really get charged. I know I am not alone, just visit any shop in any town, city or hollow, and you will see a different palette than the one earlier in the year. Colours are vibrant with jewel tones, the air is crisp, the apples crackle, pumpkins spill out everywhere.

If you haven’t had the small pie pumpkin as a veggie,you are missing a treat.

Today being the 21st. of the month, in PL, we are celebrating Thanksgiving, where we pay special attention, to giving thanks for our blessings of the past weeks, and pray for the continued blessings of the Universe. Recognizing that we, and we alone are responsisble for our actions. Love/peace begins in our hearts.

Being happy within ourSelves makes for a much more fulfilling life, don’t just exist, have the passion to BE. Share a smile!

Thursday Doors – 9.20

Charm of days gone by. There is so much to take in when you travel a back road. You have to know that you will not get anywhere fast, you simply accept the moments of discovery. This was the scene that beckoned loud enough for me to stop and actually get out. It is aged, tired and worn, but yet it is standing proud. Wind, snow, ice, rain, yes they have left their mark, but the place, for me , still had a quiet dignity. It stood, just off a paved road, but the surrounding land, was rich and bore the remnants of a bountiful crop.

I left today, open to the possibilities, and the Universe provided “seek and you shall find” PL Precept #1 Life is Art

The day was a happy one, and totally productive in a very creative way. I hope you enjoyed the same.

Chop Suey Tuesday 18th

First I want to thank you all or your birthday wishes. I was away for a birthday outing yesterday, when I came back I was overwhelmed by all the messages and good wishes. Wow, it is going to be super awesome year, I have been jet propelled into a new year. I am truly blessed, I say thank you each and every day!

While some look for pristine, blank pages, I work at making mine look old, and sometimes, like here, I strive to make rust, and dirty a page, this is my playtime. Yesterday was spent visiting places in west of downtown Montreal, looking for paint, inks, and any and all other artistic, creative tools, to be found, It was an all day event that I got to share with two like-minded friends, needless to say, it was a lot of fun.

Every person is unique, we each and every one of us, expresses ourselves in our own way. What rocks one person, can be a total turn off to the other, yet when we are on a search and find mission, the enthusiasm of the other person’s excitement when they have found something that has fired up their enthusiasm for their craft, that is catching. It is smiles all around.

In our travels as we headed back towards Ottawa, I found Catnip who I knew would be perfect for my October Fright journal.

Sharing happiness with friends is a blessing. What better way to share a birthday celebration, Catnip will always remind me that my 2018 birthday was not only great. It lasted for days, Today I am off on another adventure.

Good Sunday morning dear friends.

Day 15 – PL Calendar – Being attentive makes life more enjoyable.

Live life paying careful attention to every detail be it big or small. By doing so, you will be able to experience the subtle joy in things.

That said, I began the world with a visit to a long ago time, in a galaxy far far away. I now know what an ewok is. Cute little fellows, and very good warriors. The little story I read had them fighting biker scouts. Have to admit that I found that the biker scouts were interesting. Best of all I liked a character called Chewie. If you are a Star Wars fans you by now realize that this is a brand new world for me.

Golly Gee Mollie, where have I been =^_^= Goes to show we are never too old to learn about new galaxies, and the worlds that live in or on them.

I learned that there is a forest moon. How cool is that! The Ewok is small, furry and lives in the forest. Sigh every day is so exciting when you can learn about such amazing new characters ..there is such an incrediable amount of talent out there, I can’t wait to make new discoveries.

What about you, have you taken on anything new? Do you think about new ways to do things that you have being doing in a routine fashion? One of my upcoming challenges will be to do a character doll for the month of October, Doll Club meeting.

Challenge yourself, You have so much unused creativity, step outside your comfort zone, live life to the fullest. Can’t wait to read or hear about your adventures.

Thursday Doors

Thursday doors is a feature of Norm’s blog Norm 2.0, I really love to be able to share, my love of doors, these were solid and welcoming even if somewhat stern.

The next two pictures were taken in the town of Rockland itself, didn’t get the doors up close, I enjoyed the possibilities from my bench on the other side of the street, a lot of traffic for a small town, but did manage one of the former manse without a moving vehicle. Nice way to spend a sunny day. Lounging =^_^=
