Are you happy

Are you caught in an in-between world. Do you find that you are often thinking of what was, or wondering what happened to?

Do you find yourself watching movies or made for television series that have you lost in another person’s world/fantasy.?

Are there moments when you feel the weight of the world on your shoulders.?

Don’t give up! Keep at it until you accomplish what you’ve started. The key to achieving something is to stick to it. If you are able to continue something from start to finish, you will be sure to accomplish it no matter how difficult the task is.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of a chance encounter with a local photographer (Jim Robertson) and his wife at the conservation area that I visit each day for my morning “meditations” . Last night I was surprised to see an e-mail from him… Please allow me to share with you the link to his webpage.

You all know my passion and love for crows, ravens, and now we can add the grackle… what some often call, blackbirds. The common Grackle is slightly more stretched, they are taller and longer tailed t han a typical blackbird and the adult male will have an iridescent bluish head and bronzy body in good light.

I have been spending mornings with these birds, they come when I arrive for their share of peanuts and corn. What interesting behaviour they have. Especially when it comes to making their presence known in the community. They will stand up to the bluejay and dive bombing competition can get fierce if they zone in on the same coveted peanut.

What I found most interesting was that both the blue jay and the grackle have taken a liking to the special bird butter that I put on the tree limbs.. (it gets smeared on, much like putting icing on a cake) I put on only about a tablespoon in this one area, and then further up the limb where there is a pocket in the bark, I tuck in some more. They wait in the tall branches of neighbouring trees… while I spread the butter.. if I’m slower than then usual, I don’t know I get distracted by a chipmunk pulling on my pant leg for a peanut, or one of the wild turkeys chest bumps another turkey and I have to move out of the way… they (the birds) can get very vocal.

Today the parents brought their young to the feeders.. what a joy that was. I got to see them even closer than I did the other day. =^_^=

Sitting in silence, I sometimes get a visit from voices from the past. Always when I am on my computer at my work station, I get unwanted ads and visuals about – aging and how to look younger, … I ask myself, what is the obsession with looking younger, we are born to grow and unfold into the beautiful energies we become. In nature, the fruit trees, the flowers, perennials, they come back in the spring looking young and fresh, they blossom with beautiful flowers, then some share/ give us their bounty, visuals can be breath taking, and the taste delight on our tongues… hmmmmmm.

Have you lost “simplicity” in your life?

Are you still trying to “find” your”Self”?

What do you see when you look in the mirror? I greet the “me” I’ve become most mornings when I begin my day, and again at night when I say “goodnight”… Have you taken stock of “YOU” today, Do you “like” the person that looks back at you when you face a mirror.

Be big hearted. In fact, what you are concerned about might be something you don’t need to be concerned about. Interact with people without worrying too much

More birds

Meet photographer Brian Waterman https://www.instagram.com/bird_bri/ There have been so many birds signing in the woodlands it has been a treat to meet up with Brian who has graciously shared photos with us. He has a wonderful selection of birds for you to explore and enjoy, I have a few favourites that I will use from time to time because he has captured the personality of the birds that I’m drawn too. Right now the leaves are filling out so quickly, I hear the birds but I don’t see them. I appreciate Brian’s patience and his ability to find and “catch” the beauties. heat in the 80’s

No taking a morning break, the destroyed bench is gone, but another has not appeared, when we get to the section of the boardwalk we are met with pylons.

With the pending heat of the day, even the ducks are retreating to find a place to chill.

Others are taking it all in stride. Enjoying the day come what may. That will be my focus for the day, start slow and simply let the moments flow one into the other. I’ll head out now while the morning is still fresh. Have a chill day everyone!

Put Makoto even into small things. Don’t let things go with “oh well”. You will have a different outcome if you put Makoto into everything you do. (sincerity)

Omega Park

Meet my newest “friend”… yesterday I got to have a wonderful “away” adventure .. Having a friend who will drive and give me a chance to just “ramble” and let my “mind” wander .. take pictures… and basically just chill…. is an amazing way to share a few hours. Boniway is such a friend… it was so wonderful … I got to ohhh and awww at the wonderful animals who came up to the car to greet us… Miss piglet here was such a personality. AND the baby piglets who were trailing around behind her…were just the cutest.

We were favoured with gorgeous weather. The sun shone bright the weather itself was cool and refreshing…. a big enough breeze that there were no mosquitos .. at least… we didn’t encounter any. It was a day of blessings. I even got to cross the river on the ferry, not once but twice. Much appreciation and gratitude in a day makes for a perfect day. Boni… you were super fantastic in your generosity of spirit…thank YOU.
