breakfast meeting place

Good morning. I thought I’d share with you my breakfast nook. When I arrive and park, I enter the woodlands where you see the big rock, and the path divides. My feeder tables are down the trail on the right. When families come, they stop there to watch and/or feed the birds.
With the forecast for heavy rains, starting up this afternoon and lasting into tomorrow.. warnings are of record rain, and possible flooding! I took myself off there this morning to top up the feeders. As many of you know, being out in nature, listening to the birds, and basically just being with them.. is very therapeutic.

Good or bad it is our mirror. Sincere expressions invite good results, but insincere expressions can lead to unexpected trouble.

It was a bitter cold that greeted me this morning on my rounds. I was well dressed for it too. I did see other visitors to the area bundled up for their walks, Even the birds were doing their best to conserve energy.

When something comes to mind, do it right away. The moment that you notice something is the best time to take care of it. If you react quickly, your life will be more efficient.

Thursday 17th.

So many different ways to enter another “world”… every door, window, entrance, tells a story. Which would appeal to you today?

Always live “for the sake of others and society”. Be thankful to society for all that you have and make a firm decision to be a person who can contribute to people and society. This state of mind will provide you with endless enthusiasm.

I have been a door chaser now for a very long time. I first realized that I had this “attraction” when a new PR director came to a television station I worked for. The door to his office was one that had a middle panel that was “window”. Whenever you walked by, which for me was often enough, you could see a big poster he had on his wall. It was a poster of doors from the city he had come from. I had never seen the like and was enchanted, so much so, on his next trip back home, he got me a similar poster… I was thrilled. Since then, I have been “hooked” on doors.

Obviously I am not alone … since we are so many who happily post and share every Thursday (when possible) one or some of our doors from our “stash”. Happy Thursday everyone.. I look forward to touring later to see what has been posted.

Wednesday moments

The day was sunny and bright when I started out, then it began to cloud. I was surprised at how fast the day went from bright to overcast. What also surprised me was that so many of the houses, store fronts, and businesses, were devoid of Holiday Decor. Unusual, I think this is the first time I have seen the city look so bleak. I heard the weather forecast, it seems there is a big snow storm brewing that will hit the eastern States, they mentioned NY and PA. But, since that same storm is what is affecting us with the cloud cover, it must be a “beauty”. I also heard that Michigan was hit recently with a big storm. You can see from my pictures, there is not much snow in our area. Still I would have expected more Holiday displays during my drive.

Strive to overcome obstacles by changing your mind-frame. Things don’t always go as planned. When that happens, try changing how you look at the situation or how you are doing things. The outcome is in your hands.
