a walk with myself

Today I forced myself to return to Pine Grove Trail .. it has been cleared .. above is what it looked like after the storm.. below is what I explored today.

At first I confess I was filled with a sadness, my feet were reluctant, and my whole body tensed as I made my way through the gate to walk along the once familiar trail Then I began to notice the new growth that was bravely dealing with the coming of winter. The young shoots were bravely waving their fall colours.

I was reminded that in nature, there is always tomorrow, and another day. Out of the broken, devastated remains of what was, there was new growth, Strong young shoots reaching up into the clear blue sky, their leaves a riot of colour showing their pride at having attained a place in the world.

The message was loud and clear, never let a set back, deter you from your goals or purpose in life. It may not be the easiest path, but it is your path, and you are here, live it… experience all of what life sends your way… if you come face to face with it, it is because the Universe knows you can cope/deal with it.

When you let go of what was… you are blessed with new opportunities .. you face new potential … you will make new memories … and you yourself, will grow, you open the door to new possibilities.

What began as a simple walk, turned into a moment of discovery, I feel so blessed, and that you are here to share it with me, makes it a pure delight.

My third attempt at writing this blog… too many thoughts, too many different interjections from within my own thought process. Japan (head quarters for the PL church) has made a decision that they are imposing on the churches in North America.. (USA and Canada) In Japan and Brazil and all South American churches I am assuming will also follow suit. In Brazil tho’ they already have their own way of dealing with things.. their culture is so different from Japan, that over time, they have developed what works for them.

However in North America we are not in the thousands, we are a much smaller group, with churches in California NY and here in Canada. Actual physical churches number less than a dozen, our members though are scattered across the States and Canada. Still by comparison we are few. So Japan has decided without consultation with any of its members that we will no longer be able to have service on Sundays, but must operate like they do in Japan where the culture is different and there is a church in almost every corner of the city, town, village etc. Oh we will be allowed to still “gather” on Sundays, but we must no longer call it a service, we must call it a “gathering” and how we get together must be as they dictate.

I love the philosophy of the teachings (PL) but I do not agree with the corporate decisions that are being dictated to us, or how they are communicating with us. It is a very male dominated organization, and tho’ they talk of equality, there is a way for women and a way for men. (so it is written) … these are words … the teachings are so profound and so universal, ONE with the Universe, Peace on earth for everyone etc.. in the past I’ve been able to simply ignore I guess the parts of the “church” that I found sexist, (mainly telling myself it was set up at a different time when times were different, and ..oh.. it is in the translation from Japanese to English…. but.. this last slap… I can not just sit back and accept…)

Of course it is not as simple, it is not black/white.. never-the-less… it has given me serious cause for pause.

Don’t let circumstances sway your decision. It does not help to overthink things. Sometimes we just need to make up our minds and move forward.

Do you know that I am English speaking, I am Canadian, if I have an issue or problem and want to talk it over with a leader in Japan, they do not have someone who I can dialogue with in English. and when there I was given a name tag that said I was from the USA. When I said “excuse me, I am from Canada,” I was seen as a nuisance, my tag got changed but only because I insisted, maybe I’m just slow .. and maybe I am a trouble maker, but I am Canadian and I paid a small fortune to get there to participate, in my view it was a lack of respect on their part. oh dear.. oh dear.. time to shut down and go find my birds,

yes everyone, I will be there today, but….

time is now

What is the pull the energy/force that gets me up and out of bed in the wee hours so I can witness the early morning mist over the bog… What guides my need to pull out the camera and shoot into the fog.

The landscape captivates and captures my imagination. I know that the dragons will rise up from the mist and soar up into the unknown to mate and play … Their positive energy and passion is a force that transcends eternity for it is not measured in time or boundaries, it simply IS…The TAO is not something one can explain, it is like the air we breathe, we don’t think of breathing, we just do…

When was the last time you stopped to “listen to your breathing”….to appreciate the regular pit pat of your heart, to take a deep breath in, hold it, enjoy with gratitude before expelling and letting it go,

Your smile is what’s needed. A smile invites happiness and cheer and is essential to energize others as well as yourself.

Have a great day everyone!

It is your road…

and yours alone to to walk, so much to see, so much to discover.

You will meet and walk with others along the way, but no on can walk the road for you.

Are you overdoing things? Not only do you harm yourself when you overdo things, but you may be imposing on others as well.

I really do believe that this one likes to pose for me. He will set himself apart and then just pose giving me time to take his picture… all sides =^_^= … It doesn’t earn him rewards just praise and admiration.

When the camera gets put away, he will saunter off being very nonchalant. No, I cannot tell them apart once they are gathered in a group.. not yet anyway. I have to admit to being fond of them, now when I see them when I’m walking a trail, I stop and visit.. a few of them will be social, others will turn and run off towards their “pals”.. they have the cutest way of running. The other day I was treated to two of them actually flying off into the trees. It was my first time to see them lift off and fly a distance.. they are a delightful bird.

I have a question, there is a big (I think) wasp nest hanging high up on a tree at one of the sites I go to, I watched it the other day swaying in the wind. It is big, how do they suspend it and with what?

Make today a memorable day. Let’s try to put our whole heart into whatever we say or do, as our unique signature.

Make a point of smiling, it relaxes the face and can alter your brain and body chemistry, It can also have a positive effect on the way people react to you.

The lady sits

The maiden sits. Seasons come and go. Still she sits.

Once I saw her, I couldn’t not see her. What drew me to her initially was the face that looked out at me.

It was only when I got home and uploaded that I realized it was a woman sitting. (a maiden)

I posted it on Instagram, then felt the need to share her with you here.

P23 and P22

Yesterday’s journey took me through a golden glow of pure ecstacy. This means, the leaves are in change mode from scrarlet/crimson tones to the sunshine yellows/golds and bronze…

Today is a new day, the start of a new work week. I cleaned out a file drawer last night, I found files back to 2008, some even older. One of the tips to finding mindfulness and calm, is to declutter. Since my husband’s passing, and prior to… I have been doing a slow but steady “clean up” Over the years it is amazing how much we retain, or put away to look at later. What we thought was important to keep .. yet once tucked away, seldom or if ever… looked at again

Somewhere in time I had picked up a book called Stuck on YOU, 140 quirky love quotes that stick in your memory and on your stuff (there were stickers in it at one time) the book is titled, Stuck on you, the heading is… Where there is love . there is life. copyright 2016. In looking at it again, I see the pages tear off, even more interesting to me is the quotes I used (I date or highlight if I something catches my eye)

Here is one, by unknown. ” I wish I could turn back the clock, I’d find you sooner and love you longer.” my little inner voice says… you didn’t find him/her sooner because you were not ready…

Today’s quote from the PL calendar..

Start today with a fresh outlook. Even though people and situations may look the same, they are constantly changing. Start eah day with a fresh mind

Perfect Liberty 2022.

In cleaning out that file drawer, I threw out a lot, but I also found a few treasures that I have put aside for another moment of discovery at a later date. Love has been a constant thread in my life. I love being happy, and loving life brings a lot of happiness.. yes knowing love means you live all the emotions that go with it.. but when love is true, it is all a blessing.

True love doesn’t have a happy ending. True love never ends.
