Here we are mid month. If you were asked, if you take life far too seriously, do you know what your answer would be. Just wondering.
Listening….
Face the speaker, make eye contact and listen carefully. Listening to people is also a form of expression. Listen with Makoto (sincerity)

The above picture is of my elder dog making like he is listening to what is being said. It is always interesting to watch how intently he can become aware of something, listen, and then dismiss what he’s heard based on ??? We may smile, but how often in the day do we do the same or a close facsimile of this same behaviour.
Good Morning, can we adapt, of course we can. Is anything possible, well……. honestly speaking….. yes, but things don’t happen by themselves. The example I often use, is because I bought a vacuum cleaner, a pail and a mop doesn’t mean that I am going to suddenly become a good little domestic. I may have had good intentions when I bought said items.. but if I don’t change my attitude and/or make a sincere effort to change how I feel about doing such “chores” not much will happen except that now I walk around a pretty pink vacuum cleaner that sits waiting to be used, and the cleaners use my mop and pail when they come once a month. See =^_^= … I did find a way to tidy up .. dust, vacuum etc. just not the way I first thought it would get done.
really! me vacuum… geesh at least I did give it the old college try.
Ancestors Day is tomorrow Friday March 11. service at 10: a.m.
to those of you who know me…. some things… are hard to change… I did try.
How often do you walk past a door, get so far, stop and then walk back to have another look. Some doors are simply too interesting to ignore. Others stand silently blending in with their surroundings, and some exist only in your “mind”. All represent a pathway or opportunity to explore something different .. the first photo is of a fence not a door .. but I saw it as a gateway to (the other side of the fence) The photographer who took the picture, gave it a “story” I just couldn’t pass it up.
The second photo, is believe it or not, a doorway for a feathered friend… who by the looks of it, is going to be visited by a pesky squirrel.
The other doors are ones that are there for a purpose, the settings, the time of day the pictures were taken, all give the photos an air of “mystery” …… what was their daily life like. I want to open each one and peak into the interiors.
It’s easier to adapt to something when we find it interesting. No matter how enjoyable a situation is, a slight change in our attitude can make it boring. Let’s face any situation with curiosity and enthusiasm.

Tomorrow, Thursday, March 11. service at 10: a.m. Ancestors Day.
I didn’t see horses in the pictures taken around the time of the barn pictures.. but… can you feel them there??
No words, just sharing a few special moments with you.
Express yourself clearly so others can understand you. When you can’t communicate clearly, it can lead to problems. Always express yourself carefully to avoid any misunderstandings.
The activity at the feeders has been telling me for weeks now that the birds have begun to wander and soon, few of the original “gang” will still be around. Today at Mer Bleu there was a very clear indicator that in the bird world, spring is very near.
I saw one, than 2, then there they were, all scattered on the forest floor picking up seeds. The Red Wing Blackbirds… above, Dan saw the Rusty Blackbird in February… these birds are here early. It is interesting for me, since last year I read the signs, but didn’t understand, this year I recognize the “change’ in the ” glen” and realize that the travellers have started to migrate.
Start by thinking ” Let’s do it” Once you decide to do something and put your whole heart into it, things will start moving forward.

In Nature, things happen when it is time.. obviously these birds have decided it was time to move on and come to their “spring” grounds.

The darling woodpeckers are still hanging out… still a lot of snow on the ground in the woods.. If the birds are right, the balmier weather is here to stay.. We’ll have cold spells, but they will be fewer and farther in between.
Strive to live with a positive outlook everyday. Put your whole heart into whatever you do. With motivation you will feel joy and excitement.

The season is changing, I can but.. go with the flow…
Think ” now is the time” instead of “It’s no use now” Don’t give up thinking it’s too late. Tell yourself that there is more that can be done.

Mindfulness is a journey. be patient and self compassionate.
It is important to let go of self judgement and practice going with the flow.. When we begin practicing “being aware” we can get caught up in “doing it right”… it is only when we let go of actually trying to do it right… and let the experience be based on … letting go… that we begin to notice the mind begin to slow down and “settle”. Notice and observe! we are strengthening our minds.
You will find joy when you immerse yourself in your task. With a can do attitude you will be filled with enthusiasm and inspiration.
the entrance is around here somewhere….. hold that thought….
No one can take away the joy you get from putting your whole heart into something. The joy you feel when you’ve put your all into something is yours and yours alone. Nobody can take that away from you.

An artist ( I don’t like titles/roles) but I’m often referred to as an artist, so I’ll wear that hat for the moment, I learned a long time ago when I would have an urge to paint or visually express something and I’d draw a blank.. to stop… take a step back… and let it go if I had to.. if I forced the idea, or tried to replicate my “feeling” into a visual, I would end up with a disaster.. technically speaking I could paint/draw or sculpt something.. but it just wouldn’t be “right”. We all have had that “blank page” empty canvas moment.
When I’m in the woodland… some days I simply tend and fill the feeders.. and leave.. other days, I’m drawn to stand still, or sit where I am and let the environment speak to me. I take in the decaying vegetation, the fallen branches, the sounds and the scents… I simply stop moving, close my eyes to regroup, then with my eyes closed the sounds become music, the breeze/wind becomes an instrument harmonizing with the chatter of the squirrels/chipmunks and the social greetings of the birds. I am re-energized.
How many “me” moments do you take during the day/night.
Don’t let circumstances sway your decision. It does not help to overthink things. Sometimes we just need to make up our minds and move forward.
Perfect Liberty 2022.6
We limber up our bodies, we stretch, and move so that as we “age” we can still be mobile as “time” inches its way into our lives. Let’s’ not forget our minds… the mind gets so overworked, we expect it to constantly be on the alert for us. Take 30 seconds .. start with baby steps… give your mind a break, allow it a super stretch of “stillness”..
Mindfulness – is this a start to your journey of mindfulness, or have you been at it for years -it is time to access calm, to feel more grounded. Mindfulness is the practice of repeatedly returning your focus to the present moment without judgement or criticisms.
Originally stemming from Buddhist roots, the practice has evolved – there is a “Way” for each and everyone … small steps.. begin by being aware.
