Feeder response

It seems that it is a matter of supply.. they have been unable so far to obtain feed for the feeder that I am asking about. And to add to the frustration of the day, I saw the reply to me, read it, and thought i had forwarded it to my active e-mail address.. guess what.. it didn’t happen. and now I cannot find the reply to respond to the person who wrote me. sigh… time for a coffee break..

Let’s respond clearly. Giving a proper response shows consideration towards others.

feeder empty

I heard this morning that one of the big feeders was totally empty – I has no idea that it was empty, had just come from the location the photographer was telling me about.. and I had noticed. Note to self.. pay attention to all the surrounding feeders. The huge feeder he was telling me about is usually tended to by an organization that has got feeders scattered all over the National Capital Greenbelt …It was when he told me he had sighted an evening grosbeak that I was spurred into action.

A friend was kind enough to dig out his ladder and come fetch me so I could go back to the location and fill the feeder till I can reach someone from the Ottawa Field-Naturalists’ Club, The OFNC was founded back in 1863 and is the oldest natural history club in Canada with over 800 members. I’ve sent a missive but with the holidays it might be some time before I hear back, meanwhile the feeder is now full, hopefully the feed in it will last a few week. I myself am not able to climb a ladder and haul a heavy bag of birdseed up to refill .. fingers crossed everyone.

I was so focused on getting the feeder filled I did not take a picture,… when I go back, weather permitting I’ll remember to get a picture.

It’s Okay to think “this is where it starts” There is always a turning point. It’s important what you do from now.

winter 12.24

Sarsaparilla Trail, cold and quiet this morning, came across another photographer who was intent on trying to get a Pileated woodpecker that simply was not interested in being distracted.

I was looking for a picture to use for a holiday greeting…. I was so enthralled with my walk through the forest, that his red head will do for the holiday colour. After all, the blessing of the day will be my trip into the woodland, the peace and quiet that I found there.

Someone has shared/his/her talent with everyone, and put a homemade food “hut” out so that the seed will stay dry during our often wet/cold/freezing rain/snow and ice that comes to us over the winter.

May the spirit of the season, bring many hours of joy and happiness to you and your loved ones. Stay warm and dry. Be safe! Blessings of the season!

red everywhere

Look around, red is the prominent colour of the month. Red spiritually effects, stability, security, grounding, courage, action, physical and emotional survival. Red – physical energy, passion, courage, power, will and desire.

Red makes you feel passionate and energized its the warmest and most dynamic of the colours – it is said to trigger opposing emotions. Seeing so much red in the fashion outlets, I had a look in my wardrobe, not a red shirt, blouse, or top.. hmm actually I seem to be surrounded by shades of black, grey and earth colours.

Be a person who can recognize the sincerity of others. When you put your whole heart into things, you will be able to notice the sincere acts of others in the subtle things they do, and appreciate them that much more.

Season’s Greetings to everyone..

Yesterday was a lucky day, we were introduced to the talented Xander Nichting, Electric Violinist. He was at the Xmas Market @ Angel Manor Estates. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife//8/217/22

Our own Steve Who, caught me on, and invited me to join him.. What a bonus event to an already busy day. It is always good to listen to one’s intuition, I had not intended on logging on, but I did, and voila, thanks to Steve, we now all know about another fantastic artist.

Learning to focus on the heart of the matter. When you receive an intuition you must be able to distinguish what the heart of the matter is. When you wake up in the morning, do you feel sleepy, are you wanting to lie down again, you may even go back to sleep, which was your first intuition…

In PL we are taught PL Precept #19 – Begin once you perceive is a truth with a deep meaning behind it. Intuitions are the thoughts that unconsciously come into your mind. When you wake up it is a new day whatever inspirations you have at the start, your “new day” is the first true intuition.

Silent Night

The night was clear – the darkness was inviting – there were few stars in the sky – a stillness lay over the land – she moved with slow deliberate steps, yet her feet barely touched the ground – her movements were almost invisible shadows …the moon’s sliver of silver light highlighted her graceful form as it now picked up speed…. did I imagine her… one minute she was there, and then… … the night was clear. Only a faint scent of a lingering breeze eluded to her having been.

There are days when the you know .. the night hasn’t gone away.. it is waiting in the wings.

Trow Boa at Nat’s

When the holiday season comes along, there is just so much to do, if you can make this event.. you’ll be off to a good start

Start the holiday week off with your favourite performer, Trow Boa, (saxophonist) what better way to kick off a busy week .. Trow has a set to have you “rocking” around the Xmas tree, he’ll put you in the mood for all that’s good and merry. All you need to do is get to the club on time, his set starts at 5 slt (Second Life) Monday Dec. 20th.

OK now we know we are going to Nat’s tomorrow, what to wear. We’ve found this delightful designer who has a style all her own.

She does have a retail show however .. I had more fun looking through all her inventory on Marketplace. I’ll be wearing one of her outfits at Nat’s Jazz club tomorrow, you’ll have to drop over to see which one finally won me over.
