This is a house I found the other day when out for a drive with Eartha. She is very patient with my hollering.. STOP… this time I got out and toured the grounds. I showed you a few pictures the other day. I’ll repost them in a second. see the side window, there was another set just a room over (kitchen) .. the owners had placed a bird feeder there, it was still hanging there in need of repair. The view would have been perfect.

I wondered if they had tilled the land, there was a big unused and now falling apart barn on the lot beside the house. The mess around the property .. the debris, broken plates, pots and pans strewn in the garage (now falling down and only half standing).. someone had tried to tidy up, but whatever happened in life… plans were abandoned, only the pretty spring flowers were showing up.
The house my parents purchased back… way back… when I was a child was white with the same green trim this house had. MAYBE that is why I hollered “stop” …. could be I was chasing a dream…. memories have a way of creeping in on us. At the time Dad purchased the house it was on a lonely country road, such as the one we were on… a few other houses, but they were few and usually in groups. At the end of our street was a convenience store with a butcher shop. little else.
Now that whole area has been swallowed up with the city… the field I could play in, is now so built up… there are medical buildings and a huge hospital just walking distance from the old house.
I think one of the reasons I enjoy this Thursday Door feature so much is that it takes me back in time. Dan’s posts usually feature doors in the areas he travels.. often they represent a different era. The neighbourhoods that are still “comfortable” with inviting homes, shades of “families” that once were. You can almost hear the sounds of children playing, dogs barking, cats wandering and sunning along the quiet lanes.
Gardening was a hobby, you could see small garden patches in backyards, depending on where you lived, there could also be a chicken or a bunny hutch.. people sat on the front porch and greeted neighbours who often would stop and visit. We ( the children*) would roam the streets looking for our friends, hang out in restaurants with a floor for dancing, boys would be riding their bikes and/or playing some sort of sport in the playgrounds and school yards.
There was not a television in every house… and maybe… there was a phone in the house, maybe it was a private line, but often it was a party line. Times have changed, but what hasn’t changed, is LIFE. It keeps happening.

There are days when I feel like this wood sculpture. I’m visible, I’m physically present, but…………………………… my cracks need oiling.
You gain strength through your hardships
Whatever you learn easily or master effortlessly tends to be forgotten. The lessons you gain through repeated mistakes are what gives you genuine strength.

is now the time to talk about my desire to reopen my erotic art museum…. showcase my creative expressions.

Meet Dentelle, first three pictures from left to right, the end picture is BeeJu, both of these gals are being groomed for a project I’m wanting to expand on. Dentelle was brave enough to try the new Cardboard Avatar that started as an April Fool’s idea for a Designer in SL (Salt & Pepper).. who was joined by other designers, and we now have a growing number of “people” in SL who have adapted the idea.. It has taken on a life of its own.

There is now a group for all of us who have fallen in love with this idea, and these are some of the items in the hunt that popped up. I have the LM for you here if you are in SL http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Astralia%20DEAD%20DOLL/161/118/1177
I use the avatars in my projects for the church as well as my other blogs. The girls are great to work with, always on time, and open to most of my ideas. Salary wise, it’s a breeze, they like being kept in smart clothes (to their taste of course) latest hairstyles and a place to hang.
Someone asked me the other day how old I was.. I was at the cash having a friendly chat about the mushrooms I had bought… on sale the huge big cafe mushrooms… I told the gal I ate them like a radish or orange, just straight out of the package.. no .. no condiments, no sauce, and yes raw.. That had the whole line at this cash smiling and wondering why raw.. I jokingly said, that is what keeps me young.. (of course I’m not “young”)
Then began the… “Oh” “ahs” they were all guessing of course at my age, since looking at me in my “outdoor” gear as my friends laughingly call my “out door” clothes. can really only leave people “wondering”… I avoided the how old are you question, with “in life, my goal is to be happy, and live each day doing my best to keep myself positive and spending time smiling and sharing “happy”.
Today’s PL quote – If you are going to do it, do it joyfully
If you have to do something, choose to do it with joy and enthusiasm. By doing so, you will experience a deeper sense of beauty.

I was told a lot of people went back and bought cafe mushrooms.
If you are in SL please pass this link around, this is a really fun new project. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Astralia%20DEAD%20DOLL/161/118/1177
Have a seat – sit a spell
Value those who are nearest you. It is especially easy to overlook how wonderful your spouse/family members /friends really are. Always remember to respect and value one another.

I used this imagine in my collage yesterday, I don’t know what it is about this time of year, but I simply do love seeing the forest take on “NEW LIFE” … The water will evaporate, the stump will dry up…. the world will present me with a whole new look in a matter of weeks. The birds that had been dropping in for visit over the cold brisk days of winter, have moved on. Occasionally a blue jay will see me and come screaming for a peanut, but all in all, the birds/animals are feeling the delicious calls of “nature” ….
Today is the 21st. in PL, the 21st is a day of celebration, it is a day where we offer our appreciation/thanks. Time to give thanks for the bounty we are presented with daily, for the friendships we share, and especially the gratitude of simply knowing love in our lives. I know love is such a small word with such big meaning.
Be thankful at the beginning and end of each day.
Each and everyone of your actions can inspire peace within your family, your community and the world around you. This peace will eventually help lead to world peace.
PL2020.21
Live with love in your heart… share your gratitude with your family/friends ? Happiness begin within.

Value your intuition
When you suddenly have an “a-ha” moment, or when a thought pops into your mind, it is God/Universe sending you a message. As soon as you notice something, you should act upon it right away.
We are all celebrating the week-end in our own way – whatever you are up to, enjoy being YOU. Because, YOU are unique!
