Life is Art! Buen dia…

Life is Art.

There is only one you, an individual, unique and special, You are the artist in your life, the environment and the things that happen around you , are the materials used for your self expression. Express yourself honestly, and with integrity in all you do. Have courage for the great sorrows in your life, and patience for the smaller ones. Happiness is not the absence of conflict, but the ability to deal with it. If your troubles are deep-seated or long-standing, try praying. It works. When you are happy, share your joy.

Focus on your true feelings, do your best to express your self honestly, practice Makoto (utmost sincerity) in everything you do. Kamuwaza (God’s will) is part of our everyday life, like the weather, it has a purpose, When you live believing in your Oneness with the Universe, not loosing sight of your God given individuality, you will experience the true joy of living. The joy of self expression. We are truly leading our lives when we live expressing ourselves to the fullest…. and this… is what makes us truly happy.

Blessings dear friends are heaped on you today, that your day will be filled with the joy and happiness of a happy heart. Today, Tomorrow and Always ……. Oyashikiri

bonjour! salut! Hi everyone!

This picture is powerful, dynamic, it is was taken along the Oregon Coastline at a place called Keyhole, it has been photographed by many visitors who have been enraptured by its vibrant energy. ( This picture was taken by Garry Liddell.) I’ve always had a interest in doors, gates and the like. A door is not just something that closes you in, but it an opportunity to go through or enter into a new discovery. I recall many years ago, while still at the hospital, we had expanded, adding another large component to our corporate structure a new Public Relations Director came on board. He was from “away” meaning he wasn’t local, When I had occasion to meet with him, I found him pleasant enough, but what struck me most was the huge poster he had in his office. It was all doors, all shapes, sizes and colours. Till that moment I hadn’t realized that others shared my “passion” for doors. Like duh!

Sometimes in life we are so engrossed in what we are doing, have to do, need to do, want to do, we forget that there is a whole world going on around us that we are not “seeing” or partaking in, because we are existing and not LIVING. Maybe a month or so later, Michael came to my office with a big round package, he had remembered my delight in seeing the doors so next time he had returned to him hometown, he got me a copy of the poster. I have it to this day, as a reminder of his kindness, and the memory of the Ah Ha! moment I had that day. I had become so focused and caught up in my “job” and “hospital politics” I had lost touch with my “inner voice”.

What sunshine is to flowers, smiles/kindness is to humanity. They are but trifles, to be sure, but, scattered along life’s pathways, the good they do is inconceivable. (Addison)

It is easy to get caught up in our day to day, however if it is important to you, you can always find some time in your day to pray/meditate. Give yourself permission to get in touch with your “inner voice” . with strong conviction and Makoto (sincere effort) you will find the door or pathway that will lead you towards your goal, and give you the “key” or drive to see your “challenge” through. Buongiorno -Good day everyone!

Italy’s Amalfi coastal area, would I have loved to have been with the photographer who took this picture at that given moment. Italy for me is a far off country that I know very little of. A client went there on a biking tour came back with wonderful stories of the charm and many delights she encountered while touring there. At the time her pictures and recounting of the many little adventures they had enjoyed caught my fancy and I thought of ways my husband and I could get over there to hike or walk the hills and valleys. Hmmm nice dream. With time that thought and desire faded, and in its place some other “idea” took my fancy.

Venice, Italy, how weathered and worn these steps are how many people have taken these steps to go about their daily lives, if you live in this area, do you still hear the water lapping up on the steps, are has it just become white noise. For me, my imagination has me wondering what it must be like to walk down the stairs, sunshine and clear skies beckoning, to get on a water vehicle of sorts then glide off around the corner of the wall to explore and take in a world that will be brand new to me. LOL that is of course on a larger scale, the reality is I do this everyday, when I wake the world around me has kept on evolving, so each and every day, without fail, is a brand new day. Each and every day without fail, I can walk outside, get in my car, or walk, bike, to discover brand new delights, make new friends, the possibilities are endless.

I live minutes from Canada’s historical parliament buildings, where tourists come for world wide to enjoy every year. Here we have the changing of the guards daily during the summer where the sound of the pipes and the marching soldiers never fail to draw a crowd. Then there is the famous Byward market where people from all walks of life gather to be part of “the scene”.. I can walk/skate the Rideau Canal, the bike trail along the Rideau River is within minutes of leaving my home, this is where you’ll find the Queens swans in the summer months. If I go in another direction I’m on the banks of the Ottawa River and a parkway that leads to more parks and to the stables of the RCMP horses (Royal Canadian Mounted Police). I happen to live in a major city, but I know that everyone has their own wonderlands to discover right close to home. In the city our idea of a “Sunday drive” is to drive out to the country, to capture the tranquility of a lake or parts of the rivers that are not surrounded by built up urban living.

Today my thoughts drifted to Italy, it was nice to journey through the various moments that were provided by the artists that use a camera for their expressions and art. This last picture is of Senigallie, Italy. Each photographer saw a part of Italy and captured it in frame, so that to the viewer, it gave a glimpse of where they were at that moment in time. Too bad we can’t do that with the different hardships we live through. Unfortunately they are usually scars in our emotional scrapbooks. However like these pictures, our heartfelt scars that we so painfully earned from whatever experience or challenge we dealt with, are beautiful in their own way, like the mist in the above pictures. Each one makes us unique. When we walk with God/TAO, each lesson we learn along the way, gives us genuine inner strength to begin each day knowing we are the masters of our own destiny. Living and Life, are part of the journey, getting there, being present for every moment of your waking hours, that is a gift. Share your gifts, the bounty returned will be a hundredfold.

Rules – Good morning everyone!

Look at the dog’s eyes, I can almost hear him/her asking his mistress “really, did I sign up for this”, this is what you want me to do?” Meanwhile the little cuddly friend is happily drinking from the bottle and thinking only of how yummy, delicious it is. This is a wonderful picture. I send an enormous thank you to the artist that put the energy and creativity into bringing it to us. It brought a smile to my day and for sure, to millions of others who saw and delighted in the composition. Before social media, we were still able to come up with such clever ideas, and take pictures to show our friends and family But we couldn’t share like we do today, we didn’t have the tools to allow total strangers all over the world to share in our creative moment.

Yes we still had artistic expression, we still lived our lives moment by moment, we did our chores, played, worked and played some more, but the element of having our creativity, thoughts,dreams and expressions on display for all to see… well …. that was unknown. Until…. someone somewhere broke a rule, or stepped outside a box and brought new potential and far reaching ideas into tangible possibilities. There is a joy in being creative. Every day I see friends who live miles and sometimes continents apart sharing their day and thoughts with friends they’ve met in virtual worlds, on Facebook, in games.. and it is not just inane chatter, often is is meaningful, supportive and caring.

While we live in a world where there is a framework of laws, morals and rules to follow, the keyword here is framework…. when Divine Spirit is our constant companion and we are always in touch, (connected) love is our motivation,world peace and inner joy our goal, then a rule is a man made what? guideline?………… I know they are needed…………..but…………….

zondag, good morning everyone!

Feelings, emotions, they are so much a part of our every day lives. Is there really a moment in the day when we are not experiencing a feeling of some kind. Is there a moment in your day when you are void of a feeling? I first saw this quote weeks ago. Aside from thinking …wow.. Johnny Depp said this, and thinking, “did he really? Not that I know Johnny personally, but when my mind captured the picture and the thought, it also automatically ran through the files in my memory banks to see if what I remembered of Johnny fit with the wisdom of the words…Funny how the mind processes information coming in. When I think of Mr. Depp. I think of a visit to California and some pirate themed ride at a park I was at with my sister. I smile because it brings back happy memories of being with her and our sudden desire to collect Disney pins.

The image of us wandering the grounds looking for pins to buy, our delight at each new find to add to our now growing collection. LOL this was not all that long ago, we were grown women delighting in the activity of “search and find” it was fun to look through the multitude of colourful pins and decide which characters appealed to us. What we wanted to collect, and share with friends and family. We had fun. We immersed ourselves in the activity and today, I’m not even sure I know where the pins our, but that memory brings back feelings that are happy and joyful.

“You can’t close your heart to things you don’t want to feel” is what the saying above says. PL Precept #12 Everything has a way according to its name. We have choices in life, we can try to live void of emotion, feelings & LOVE…. but that is near impossible. We are blessed with the gift of LIFE, life is living and living is about being alive, When an opportunity cones along with the potential of bringing you happy moments and new and positive experiences that delight and thrill your senses. you have a choice, you can say, no, I want to stay the way I am. OR…. you can embrace the new adventure and be rewarded by new and wonderful experiences that bring a heightened sense of personal awareness to your life. When you embrace your decisions and life with enthusiasm and makoto (sincerity) there is that word again…….. there should be no lasting let down when that moment passes. there can be sadness … perhaps the moment was fleeting… but the reality is.. you lived an incredible “moment in time” and now have this extraordinary memory that has added new beauty to your life.

We accept the temporary beauty and wonder of a flower. We don’t look at the flower and say you are going to die, I’ll mourn you forever. NO, we don’t do that, we accept and appreciate the beauty offered, capture the moment if we can, like this artist did, and move on. Nothing in life is forever, only change is constant. TAO.

Feelings of appreciation become real, when expressed.

Good Morning Everyone!

Today is the 21st of the month, the day that all members of Perfect Liberty celebrate, and when possible come to church, where the Minister and / or Hokyoshi perform the “formal” Thanksgiving ceremony. It is a day set aside each month to remind us to show appreciation and not take for granted the world around us. It is so easy to step off the path we are on. And, reality is, we often find that in some way, we are no longer in alignment with our spiritual goals. Our vibrational alignment needs a tune up. In observing our thoughts we realize that some how we just aren’t going in the right direction. Time for a U turn?

Expressing your true feelings, saying thank you when someone, or something brings sadness into your life, saying thank you when you find an unexpected event has brought you to a happy place. Both are moments of truth, both are a celebration of your perceptions, feelings and thought process. It is in interacting with others that we grow. Love is a four letter word with a myriad of ways it is expressed, utilized and felt. When we can genuinely express a true feeling of appreciation by saying Thank You out loud, Wow… when we can show someone we care, not just say it… its a feel good situation for everyone. We often take for granted the ones closest to us.. Remember today to say Thank YOU…

Instead of mourning for love that is lost, remember the happiness experienced.

We can only be ourselves, if we let others be themselves, no more , no less……Blessings … Oyashikiri

Good Morning everyone! qu’est -ce qu-on va faire aujourd’hui?

By the light of the silvery moon……………..

Over the years I’ve had a strong attachment to the night, its inky black skies, with dancing twinkling stars. Those of you who remember one phase of my life where bling on my fingers was de rigour. ( a must, never met a diamond I didn’t like ) =^_^=. Like the moon, for me all that is bright gives my spirit a life. Where my friends would drool over the sun and gold, I had this love affair with silver, white gold, and platinum. The night skies could turn my romantic young heart to butter. While the heat of the scorching sun sent me running for cover. Differences…. that is what life is all about… The trick is balance and moderation.

Top of the morning !

Druid Forest, Ireland.. What an enchanting photograph. Today being St. Patrick’s day, I’m sure there will be a lot of wearing of the green today. I know that my experience has been, Irish or not, many people celebrate the day, and share in the ancient traditions. Did you know that the ascending series of green- white- red- formed the favourite symbols of the Egyptians and the Celtic druids, Dante who knew his traditional symbology, had Beatrice appear dressed in green,white and red, which expressed, hope, faith and charity. Did you know that green is a colour of antithetical tendencies…. it is the colour of life, (growth) and the colour of death.. Similarly green takes the middle place in the every day scale of colours. LOL I’m sure that today you will soon loose count of all the different shades of green you see, not to mention the many creative ways green will be shown, or adorned.

Oshieoya-sama (head minister of the Church of PL, Perfect Liberty) wrote an article (May 12, 1984) which was reproduced for us and distributed in the Perfect Liberty newsletter volume 7, issue 1, March 2014, in which he talks about the similarity and the differences in PL and other religions. He talks of how the objectives of religions are all similar , in that they all strive for World Peace, then goes on to talk about how each religion has its own unique way of sharing this with their members. One of the most important things taught in PL is to put the teachings into practice, on a daily and regular basis. For a copy of this article (it is short one page),i n the States, contact Rev. These cliffs in Ireland bring tourists from far and wide. When I saw them I thought of how majestic and beautiful they were, how nature over time had carved out each and every crevice in her own way as only she can do.. each section is a story all of its own, yet together they present the viewer with a formidable challenge, could they be climbed? I know myself, I would want to study all the nooks and crannies to discover the secrets that they would hold. while I gazed at the shear beauty of the cliffs, I wondered if the photographer had taken close up shots of any of the different rock compositions, and plant varieties……. Guess I’ll never know =^_^= another puzzle, that brings a smile.. Mysteries are so much a part of life when one has a curious active mind…

c’est bien vendredi, como vai?

It is Friday, how are you today? Happy sunny wishes to start your day!

A look at the past, poignant yet alluring, we are drawn to explore, to wander to be awed. Another time, a time when life was very different from what it is today. Shetland Islands, Scotland Does it capture your imagination, snare your attention, do you want to walk the path that so many have walked in bygone years, Even now, today there are echos of visitors footsteps and the sound of distant conversation as people went about their day.

We live our lives everyday with a certain routine, we take certain roads, drive or walk along streets we see every day. If you work and take a bus to work, it is usually the same bus and it follows the same route, day after day. We shop in the same malls, or go to the usual markets all the time. Do you put your heart into all you do? Or because we have done it a thousand times before, so you just get it done? In Asian teachings, we are asked to put our best effort into everything we do, whether or not it is a daily and repetitive task/chore or not.

While in Japan this past summer, in one of our assignments we were asked to do certain tasks, depending on which group you were in, the tasks were different, some got to wash the bathrooms, some got to clean mats, sweep the roads, my group was asked to wash the hall floors. Teachers, students, professionals, we all grabbed rags and down on our knees we cleaned the floors inch by inch. (Noooooooooooooo I do not do this at home, it wasn’t a task I perform on a regular basis and certainly not on my knees, so what do you think my immediate reaction was!) Old and young, we applied ourselves to working together and doing it. Those who could no longer get down to the floor due to age, or physical limitations, manned the buckets, and rinsed the rags, ringing them out to hand to us as we brought a used one back. Getting up and down from our knees and working in unison we chanted to stay focused and in step with each other. To a city born and bred woman, it peeled away layers of self imposed thought patterns and opened up space in my “brain” for a greater and deeper awareness of being alive and experiencing life.

This picture of Dublin in Ireland had me looking at it several times and finally with a magnifier because of the way the photographer shot the picture and how my eyes were seeing it. The lights reflecting off the water had me wondering and trying to discern just what that was going across the river. On closer inspection and because I made time to really look, I saw that it was the reflection of the bridge,

Today lets take the time, (make time) to enjoy every second of our day, even if you are doing something you have always done before, try to be mindful of your actions. Put makoto (sincerity) into all you do and say, Have a good day everyone! Where ever you are in your day when you read this.. smile..
