Don’t ask, I have no idea. It was in one of my folders. I have a rusted tin man in my backyard, I’ve had him for years, I picked him up somewhere in my travels… I don’t know where this one came from, but he is a beauty. Someone, somewhere had a lot of fun putting him together.. Creativity what joy it is to behold!

Life is what we make it. Always has been, always will be. (Grandma Moses)
This morning I was awakened by “noise” Quincy was being active, then I heard his food being scattered all over the kitchen floor…I tried to tune it all out, but wasn’t successful. When I got up to see what all the fuss was about, he was sitting innocently enough but was intent on one of his toys.. On closer inspection, it didn’t look like something I’d gotten him.. then it hit.. it was a teeny tiny little mouse. Aggghhhhh, no time for eeks and such… I froze in place myself. I’m 5ft.3 maybe, wear size 7.5 narrow shoe… this wee thing was maybe the size of cotton ball.
Quincy was toying with it. I had to act… I raced out to the back veranda and the recycle bin, grabbed an empty cottage cheese container and its lid and came back, Quincy was now batting at the poor thing. I used the empty container to capture the mouse, and took it outside .. it will have to fend for itself in the wet world outside. What a way to start the day.. it wasn’t even 5:30 a.m. yet.
How is your day?

o y a s h i k i r i
Jet lag- stuck in two realities, your body is physically in one place, but the mind, spirit and other sundries are the void somewhere between the two. In Japan I was up in the wee hours because back home it was daytime. Now I’m back home and I’m up in the wee hours because in Japan it is daytime. PL Precept # 15 All is a Mirror
I travelled miles, spent hours in the airports, wandered what seems days from one terminal to another. I was in a constant state of “now” yet days later, after finally touching ground and being back on familiar ground, my “now” is still in Japan. PL Precept # 7 Everything exists in Relativity.
Is this the answer at 2:26 in the morning, spaghetti with anchovies, garlic and olive oil. NO. One thing that was made clear to me in Japan, was that I needed to cultivate a healthier way of eating, for me that is portion control.
hmmm, I think its time for me to try to go back to bed and find the door to slumber land. Or I could stay here and be silly with you. For sanity all around, I will go try to catch some zzzzz’s. Although my mind is turning over with thoughts on how jet lag is so much like a state of being in another world, one that is parallel to the one we are in. If only it could be as simple as walking from one room to another, the two worlds are so similar, yet so different. they really are worlds apart. NOW I’m embraced by both, and physically I can only be in one place at a time.

it is all about choices…. sometimes, we just don’t get to make em
other times we do…
Caring,connecting,closeness
There is nothing else like it.
It is truly beautiful
to observe, and even more powerful when we participate
True, we don’t get to choose our family
but we do our friends.
That said, when we have love in our hearts
it is there for all to see and feel
a bond that lasts forever
is built on trust, acceptance and a love that is unconditional
Here is your hug for today..
Pass it on…

Sometimes
what we see
is not what is
happening.
Kittens are cute. If you have ever been owned by one, you know just how captivating they can be. You also know they can have a mind of their own. Their personalities are so different, not one is the same as another. And when a cat/kitten wants something.. they know how to find it. *Siamese and Russian blues, can be sooooooooo “royal” ..if you have ever had one in your family, I need not explain..”
True, life is never as simple as we would like at times
but everything in life is attainable, when we believe
and when we care and trust in our “inner voice” …
realizing that we, each and everyone one of us
deserves peace of mind, a happiness within
is the first step in true happiness…
the look on this great Dane’s face, says it all.. “like what is
happening here, where is a human when you want one?”
This my friends is a mistake (depending on whether you are the human or the cat) once the cat knows that the chocolate thing in your hand will be vanilla ice cream once you start eating it… if the cat is around, you will always have to share.
Ok some cats share better than others…….. but just maybe we got you to smile….. and that what this is all about….
Ok now take your pick on the
ending… =^_^=
yeah like I was saying… I met someone wonderful in a chat room……………..
and then, I found out she’s a cat……..
awww thanks, I needed that hug
Imagine how I felt when I found out he was a dog
OK, who is going to explain this to us?
ending with a smile.. =^_^=… pass it on..

no matter what
it just happens
yup, you could have made a better choice
but you didn’t
now, could we please
just move on
get over it.

Life can become repetitive, yes it can, the same old routine, same people, same tired old jokes, same complaints, and boy are their negatives. It seems that the whole day is spent dealing with the problems of others, or the dissatisfaction(s), you yourself are experiencing.
It is true that often our lives are regulated, or for whatever reason, our days are compartmentalized. We develop routines, we make or are put on a schedule, this leads to deadlines, objectives, goals, and on and on it goes. What we do is monitored, evaluated, assessed and rated.
What we eat, the cars we drive, the clothes we wear, everything it seems comes off some kind of production line, assembly line, processing station, and yet we don’t know or realize that we have let our own lives replicate a mechanical and programmed “lifestyle”
Oophs, what happened here, LOL … a time shift, this was a picture taken for a community post by Nat Fabman in 1954 (Life Magazine) of a Fresno dairy farmer (Arch Badertscher) milking his cows alongside his two farm cats, Blackie and Brownie. A little playfulness in the day, sort of gives a warm fuzzy, and a bit of a smile. The first few pictures, didn’t do much for you did they?
Sometimes, NO, not sometimes, on a regular basis, we have to STOP and get off the treadmill, and get out to explore, and smell the roses(flowers} no one else can do it for us. When we repeatedly do the same things day after day, life gets stale, and we find ourselves in a rut.
Usually the fences and walls we find around us, were man-made (look in the mirror). John Wayne was said to have started his day by saying,”yes, looks likes it is going to be another fine day” no matter what… begin your day in a positive way, and work towards carrying that thought with you throughout the day.

Really now? You think you thought this out carefully…
Would you like to rethink your position on the situation….
Have you really thought this through….
Did you hear about the parrot that sat on a cat’s tail the other day?
Sweet… heh!
