PL Precept #19 Begin once you perceive
I stared at the blank screen for some time, I knew I had an idea, but that idea was not coming through loud and clear. So I went in search of a picture, since I had already put in a title, I looked into the files where I have put some of the photos of cards I’ve done, when the urge hit to take a picture for my files.
Typically I do something admire it for a few minutes and let it go.
This bird arrived the other day, I played around, stamping the image, and then cutting it out before colouring it.
These pictures are not done to perfection, I was taking them just to capture the “idea’ Being a perfectionist at times, when I have to go back and look at something that I just did candidly, not with an intent, I’m often surprised at this side of me. I lean towards lazy. Where I began doing the cards on a lark, since I never really wanted to do cards for a pastime. However, be careful with your projects. The cute stamps and dies, soon had me thinking about what I could do with them. Being the “artist” that I am, I was not interested in what other people have done with them, but rather, what I want to do. So…. of course, I end up with some weird combination. But.. I like them and that is all that matters.
Rocky the crab really caught my attention.. so after I found Crabby here (Xmas card), I had to search high and low for a supplier that had Rocky on hand. Heaven forbid that I wait for an order to come in. That is the stubborn streak in me.
This is Rocky, totally different designer. Who knew that playing with dies, stamps and card stock could be so much fun.
PL Precept #1 Life is Art
PL Precept # 2 To live is to Express One’s Self
Every action in life, will bring about another action/reaction. In being mindful when doing any activity, from years of following the Precepts and Principles of PL, I see when my “lessons” need to be reflected on, and changes considered.
There is one Principle, PL Principle # 9 I will not have a mind to be dishonest. I never would have admitted to being dishonest, but I am, to myself, when I try to say or do something, that I know is not really REALLY how I should be doing something, cutting corners when crafting, using a glue that is handy, rather than get up and find the glue that is best for the project I’m working on, Small things, but small actions add up.
PL Principle 2 I will not have complaints about others, matters, nor the weather. Rather I will always be creative and will look for shortcomings in MY OWN thinking and actions.
Listening intently, even tho’ the message could be one of great value, if you do not understand the language, you can only watch and listen to the words being spoken and assimilate what you can. This was my first time to experience such a moment, My first time in a foreign country where the primary language was totally foreign to my ears. One of the other participants when we talked of this, said, ” what we need to do is just drink in the essence, and the ambiance of being here”.
The greatest lessons from my last trip to Japan, were the ones where I learned about myself, how I cope, and that I managed through all the various challenges to come away with heartfelt connection to the country and the people there.
It is about covering the distance between me, myself and I and my surroundings. It didn’t matter really what country I was in, or who was there. What mattered was that I was alive, I was taking in new visual and auditory information, and my taste buds were experiencing new and wonderful delicacies.
It all seems subtle at the time, because you are living it, 100% the world is vibrating with newness. It is the same sky, but … no… it’s not…. you are drinking water, eating food, but …nothing is the same. Things you never thought you could do…ie. enjoy their bathing customs, by the time I left, it was all so natural and part of my day. You assimilate, you simply live in a mindful state. If I had gone there thinking of doing that, I doubt it would have happened
Life is Art…………………. in nature, when one goes with the flow and allows life to happen, the results are often extraordinary. when we try to structure every second of our day, we go against the natural ebb and flow of the world around us.
PL Precept # 18 Each moment is a turning Point
PL Precept #7 Everything exists in Relativity.
Magic mirror on the wall
remember those words
who is the fairest of them all
it is 2016
many of us have looked many a time
into one mirror or another
always to find
that whether it is 1956, or 2006
we always see
the person that we are on that given day
The mirror does not play tricks
It simply reflects back what it sees…
but … for us …. we are not always ready for what we see
no matter how we dress the wall,
using a mirror that is long and tall
if we are short and small
that is what we will see
I myself, believe I’m a star =^_^=
I really don’t need a mirror
I believe that I am me no matter how I look or how I adorn myself
so, if its alright with you,
I will enter into this new year (year of the Monkey)
with a smile and a hardy happy hug
saying, be who you are, cuz I love you just the way you are…
Every day is a new day, and every moment is a new beginning
Thank you one and all
for being who you are..

PL Precept # 15 All is a Mirror
note- official start of the Monkey Year is beginning of February (lunar calendar) (8th)
This is a vintage print that appeared in a mailing I received, I wish I could credit the artist, but I can’t. Art is very subjective, what appeals to me, may not be your cup of tea. For me the moment I saw this print, I was mesmerized. The colours, the position of the model, the bird cage, the total image evoked a sense of longing in me. Certainly not in a negative way, just a feeling, a passion that set me to wanting to create prose, or write a poem. I’m sure that at one time or another, such moments have happened to you. What do we do with these inspirations, these “ah Ha” light bulb moments.. do we act on them, or does the moment pass and we move on.
PL Precept # 3 – God appears through one’s self……..
In PL (Perfect Liberty) we believe that the Universe is always guiding and directing us, It is we who fail to listen or hear…when something happens out of the blue, or suddenly we find ourselves faced with a challenge we are not prepared for. In Pl we see that as an act or happening created by the Universe to get our attention. We are taught to take stock, pay attention, open our minds to possibilities, to focus and seek resolution.
PL Precept # 7 – Everything exists in Relativity….
When I saw the above print, it started a thought process, that began with the emotions I felt when I saw the print, and then the various stages of evolution the initial thought produced in my mind’s data base. More than 12 hours later I still wanted to share the print with you. Perhaps it will inspire a thought process in you?
For me… it had me looking for a gaudy ring full of bling……. go figure……..hey…………….. what is… is, I share with you all of me, imperfections included.!
The PL 21 Precepts reveal the true path of life for all humankind. Beginning with Precept #1, Life is Art…. as the foundation. There are 20 more precepts that stem from it and are closely interrelated with one another. Each Precept is written in simple and clear language, but the truth revealed in their words applies Universally to ALL….
Thank you to all of you who read and follow me on my journey. You are my inspiration.

In 1988 the village of Bezidu Nou in Romania was flooded. Only these two churches remained above the water, This (above) was a picture of the churches in 1995
By 2008 only one remained, the land around, you can see has been dramatically changed. In 2014 this is what a visitor to the site will find.

There is an expression that comes to mind, “never judge a book by its cover”. People we meet, friends we already know, even family, how much do we really know about them. We see only the “face” presented to us. Even over time, we may see the gradual changes, but do we really go beyond what we see in that given moment of time.
Good relationships begin by the simple act of greeting one another. I’ve had too many “how are you” spoken to me, without any real intent on the other person’ part to really hear my response. It is a throw away question or remark. As is, “I’m fine thank you, and you?” Usually or often, the person has moved on before you are really finished with the formality of a greeting.
Let us try today to show respect and a genuine caring when we interact with others, Smile from the heart, when you pass a stranger if your eyes meet, smile, nod it is a feel good feeling. When driving on rural back roads often the residents will wave as we pass, we wave back, its friendly and a welcome exchange between strangers. You find yourself smiling, it was a happy exchange …
Walls may crumble and disappear, but the happiness in your heart will always be there. Treasure and nurture it.
Have a super fantastic day my friends, Know that you are in my prayers and that love is being sent your way today and always. Blessings be.
May the Universe wrap you in a calm, serene embrace
May the faith and spirit within you
cast out the darkness, bathing you in a light
that will fill you with eternal grace.

Dispelling the darkness of night
a new day begins with the shining, warming sunlight
Take a step forward today, reach for that special prize
Throughout the ages, with every new sunrise
prayers are said, meditations are practiced
