Sometimes when we make a change, it isn’t a simple action… there are consequences and new perspectives, Changes require that one relearn and regroup whether one wants to or not.

Rather than thinking “I have to…” Think “ok, Let’s do this!”

When you procrastinate, put things off until later, you will make things harder than they need to be. Get up and do it now.

Is it a summer cold… is it allergies… what … what is it…. woke to a feeling of unease, stuffed ..congested, a throat that was on fire.. and…. a glue gun that wouldn’t work like it should. Oh groan… sigh… it is going to be one of those days. The sky outside looked gloomy, a gray pallor hung over the buildings I could see from my window. The bright eyed smiling girl of the other day, failed to make an appearance, I did attempt to run a few errands,, but the “adult” portion of my gray cells,. finally broke through the fog in my head… and I was encouraged to drive home, straight home.. and cease and desist ignoring what my body was trying to tell me. Tomorrow will be another day!

When you get stuck, take a step back.

When you are able to see things objectively, your viewpoint will change and you will receive new wisdom.

Did you know that yesterday the 22nd, was the black moon? Did you stay in? (at night) I had forgotten, it wasn’t till I was shutting down for the night that I saw my reminder.,… I was able to take time, to reflect and enjoy the tranquility of the event. Black moon encourages empowerment, and connecting with your intuition to embrace and change and ignite one’s inner light. probably why I am disappointed to wake to a new day and find my body is having a wee tantrum.

Last night the TBX (Trow Boa Experience) played a debut performance of a full set of originals (Cuban vibe) from the extensive list of original music by musician and performer, Trow Boa. The Trow Boa personna emerged some 18 plus year ago in the online game, Second Life. The man himself Trow Boa is a long time musician in every day life, who has had 35 + years in the world of music. He plays professionally in and around his home State, and has appeared Nationally and Internationally .. not to mention the many students he has taught who have gone on to excel in their own right in the music industry.

The man has dedicated his passion for the saxophone into a way of expression that delights and pleases his audiences. He plays as regularly in SL as his time allows. It has been fun to watch his progress, and how he uses his love for the music he plays to expand his personal inventory of original music. He uses his gift to not only help others, but to entertain and share the music with audiences that appreciate not only live but original instrumentals. TBX is becoming an entity on its own. Audience come for the experience! And he, Trow Boa delivers!!

In today’s world of AI and computer generated this and that… there are so many ways to express one’s self.. however music is something that can transcend language and cultural differences. The fact that he started from the basics and has tirelessly continued to expand and hone his music skills speaks volumes for his dedication and love of his craft. He not only enjoys what he does his pleasure in sharing his music is catching, Audiences are drawn to the ambience he weaves with his unique style and presentation….

It is hot, it is humid, not a breeze to be had, it is the kind of day you want to conserve your energy. If possible it was the kind of day to stay inside and catch up on activities that will allow you to be comfortable .. I had visitors today, in both cases, they brought food…. I didn’t have to cook… it was wonderful…. I had made a soup… my Dad was very firm, when I found it hot, his remedy was a nice bowl of hot soup. That or on the odd occasion I was allowed a cup of tea. Being the eldest I was not allowed coffee, tea, sweets, etc. To this day I am grateful, I have never had a sweet tooth, or a desire to drink pop, soft drinks, or alcohol beverages. So, when I got in from getting gas and a few necessities, I made a chicken soup with pure bone broth, veggies, and beans. Old fashion remedy, but it worked, What have you been doing to cope with the heat we have had this summer

Start today with a fresh outlook

Even though people and situations may look the same, they are constantly changing. Start each day with a fresh mind.

I see I had a typo I missed, a memory from 2008 how basic and different the technology was.. The avatars today look so different, yet back then, the one you see above was thought to me so advanced compared to earlier ones. Life is just a parade of changes.

The weather forecast is for gray, cloudy and cool days even into the week-end. Let’s hope that changes..

Memories

In looking through pictures I came across a memory from the early days in Second Life. A trip down memory lane is fun … Back then, the virtual world was new to me, I discovered that even the government was taking a look at this new world/technology.

Check out the old avatars… it was so much fun, the creativity was fascinating to me, remember when we built clothes with building tools… mesh had not arrived. It was a different world. The sign when I see it today, wow… it (SL) did offer a ton of opportunity, and those who stayed and grew with the “internet/pixel” technology… have a lot of good memories. Not to mention experiences of a lifetime.

Your feelings of appreciation become real when you express them.

Express your feelings of appreciation by actually saying “Thank You” out loud or by doing something to show how you feel. Not only will the person you are thanking feel good, but you will too, leading to better things in the future. (PL2014.21)

The other day I found a temple ruin in the jungle. I immediately thought, wow, what a fun find. It took me back (memories) to the days (years and years ago) when I wanted more than anything to visit Easter Island to explore the ruins and the huge statues that are all over the island. I wonder today how many people actually know of Easter Island, or its history.

In putting up the ruins I found I needed to contact the creator of this build. What a delightful person, I took the time to let her know how much I enjoy her creations, her reaction made my day. It is so easy to take our encounters with others for granted, say what we have to say and move on. I am constantly being reminded how fortunate I am to have discovered a world where I get to interact with people from all over the world and share a smile ( happy moment)

The ruins have an area where people gathered, there is a place to sit where I could overlook the skies around me and the worlds below. In life, I have to live with both feet planted firmly on the ground, landscapes need taming, home needs to be kept in repair, and its important to balance life’s demands on personal needs. *** never give up on your dreams/creativity.***

Don’t give up! Stick with it, as many times as it takes.

Sometimes you want to just throw in the towel and say, “I give up” But, that’s just the time to dig deep and push through. Your sincere effort will invite a good outcome.

I was also reminded yesterday on how special friends how… I got to catch up with a friend I have not seen in awhile, she reads this blog on a regular basis. Guess what! she and hubby go to car swap meets on a regular basis, and yes there are still swap meets where people get together to show off their hobby cars…exchange, trade etc. parts… thanks for the information and the great big smile you brought into my day.

Dentelle

Meet Dentelle, first three pictures from left to right, the end picture is BeeJu, both of these gals are being groomed for a project I’m wanting to expand on. Dentelle was brave enough to try the new Cardboard Avatar that started as an April Fool’s idea for a Designer in SL (Salt & Pepper).. who was joined by other designers, and we now have a growing number of “people” in SL who have adapted the idea.. It has taken on a life of its own.

There is now a group for all of us who have fallen in love with this idea, and these are some of the items in the hunt that popped up. I have the LM for you here if you are in SL http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Astralia%20DEAD%20DOLL/161/118/1177

I use the avatars in my projects for the church as well as my other blogs. The girls are great to work with, always on time, and open to most of my ideas. Salary wise, it’s a breeze, they like being kept in smart clothes (to their taste of course) latest hairstyles and a place to hang.

Someone asked me the other day how old I was.. I was at the cash having a friendly chat about the mushrooms I had bought… on sale the huge big cafe mushrooms… I told the gal I ate them like a radish or orange, just straight out of the package.. no .. no condiments, no sauce, and yes raw.. That had the whole line at this cash smiling and wondering why raw.. I jokingly said, that is what keeps me young.. (of course I’m not “young”)

Then began the… “Oh” “ahs” they were all guessing of course at my age, since looking at me in my “outdoor” gear as my friends laughingly call my “out door” clothes. can really only leave people “wondering”… I avoided the how old are you question, with “in life, my goal is to be happy, and live each day doing my best to keep myself positive and spending time smiling and sharing “happy”.
