Why?

… look beyond the fear of the unknown…

the Universe is vast

NGC 6302 is a bipolar planetary nebula in the constellation Scorpius

mean anything to you, no not really

but it does exist, and it is part of our galaxy

look into my eyes, really look

what do you see, can you see beyond the eyes looking back at you

can you feel the invisible web that is weaving

and binding us closer and closer

do you see beyond the fear of the unknown

…we can speculate all we want…

the Universe is vast

and nothing in our past

will give explanation

to what is happening now

you and I, are endowed, we are

part of the spectrum of life

energies bound together by

similar wavelengths

our frequencies in tune

…we hum in harmony…

is there a real need

to know why?

God is everything, to see TAO in everything,

makes life the greatest adventure there is.

PL# 18 – Each Moment is a Turning Point..

We walk past a door (opportunity)…. or we seize the moment.

PL # 15. All is a mirror

When we are calm we reflect that quiet serenity

I love this picture, like, WoW, these mountain goats are climbing a near vertical wall. I found it on a site, that just now when I went back to reference it again, the page was gone, or not available to me. We speak of reflection, perception, to the photographer who took this picture, I say kuddos for your patience and ability to do this capture. My musing is, in Nature, the animal does what is instinctively right, …. need to get to point X, hmmm what is the best way, oh yes, this way, and simply goes about doing it.

The mind, I can speak for mine will often prevent me from doing something, because I think about it too much.

I don’t think that I can count the number of times, that I discover that my reality and the actual happening, and interaction with others, is totally bonkers. I talked the other day of time, and perception, every day I learn how askew my reality is, and that because of that, I create my own frustrations and sometimes anxiety. As a young child i can recall how other children would taunt me and call me names..just because… I was different, I was Asian in a very different culture. Hurt and confused I would run to my father, who would quietly take me aside and explain to me that in life, there would always be others who don’t understand or accept that I was different. What counted was, my thoughts and understanding about myself. I was young, not even close to a double-digit age. But he would walk me through understanding that it was because they really didn’t know me yet.. and that I should go out and get to know them.. He didn’t let me stay in or shield me, he sent me back out to play. He taught me that it was their problem if they lacked insight, not mine.

He taught me that life was to be lived, and that meant accepting that it would not always be sunny days, or happy, but what was important was that I like myself, and enjoy the world around me, because it was a gift. God/TAO was always, always with me, part of me, I was never alone. In going back out to the play, I did get to know the other boys and girls, and I learned another language. To this day, my friends from that time of my life, tell me what it meant for them to discover friendship with me, someone with a different cultural background,, and how it changed for them, their perception of others they later met in life that were “different”

The Universe is vast, and often we find ourselves alone with a view that is beyond words, or in a situation that is just so awesome to our inner psyche that.. there simply is nothing to do but absorb and take in the moment. Even if someone shared that ledge with you… no two people will experience the same emotion in that moment, or “see” the same “picture”.

The Universe, does provide, only it may not be when you want, rather, it will be … when the time is such that you are ready for that discovery/recognition.

timing

Being in the right place at the right time, having your camera at the ready, and the lighting just what is needed to capture a moment in time.

When I saw this photo, taken by John Westrock, posted on Flickr, I thought, “what a good capture? and moved away, but something drew me back to look more closely. I must have contemplated on this picture for some time… I saw how the graffiti in the background sat like a halo over his head.

I wondered if the two shoes on his feet matched. Some how, I felt that this man was having a peaceful morning smoke and was contemplating life in his own way. I decided he was content just basking in his solitude.

Of course this is totally a fabrication of my own. I wasn’t there, I don’t know the man and have no idea just how long ago this was taken, or where it was taken.

What I do know is that the artist/photographer had a talent and a good eye to see what he did and click that shutter when he did. I thought I’d visit his page to see what else he had posted. Hellooooo.. not what I expected at all.

Timing, patience,total focus on the moment, these are the ingredients of a good capture, a moment caught in time, some are worthy saving, some are not. Some moments will change you forever…

So it is in our daily lives, I began my thoughts this morning with the 1st photo, that I now know was taken sometime in 2013, research and dedicated time to search precious moments, a luxury, no I don’t think so. I believe we owe it to ourselves to make each moment count, in a way that allows us at the end of the day to say, “thank you God” I had a wonderful day.

When we live practicing the Precepts and Principles of PL (Perfect Liberty) we grow to know that no matter what the day brings our way, we can deal with it, we can embrace the moment and learn just what it is about ourselves that caused that moment to take place.

In PL, there is a Precept, #7, Everything exists in Relativity – Precept # 11 is – Always be with God, two of my favourite meditations.

Timing

when we find ourselves truly embraced

and caught up in the moment

we often will find that we have come face to face

with an unspoken fear

and in that very moment

the fear is no longer buried by layers of the past

for you have recognized it, at last.

Faith

Would I take this journey

Yes I would …

No doubt …

No regrets …

Because I know

that God is always with me …

If I arrived at this path

I would know that it is a journey

meant for me to take …

lessons, challenges, opportunities

they are gifts, that make us who we are.

Each day is like a new canvas

I can’t wait to see what I will discover

as my adventure begins

This morning’s lesson is about, not being swayed by the past. It is what we do now, that counts. When we begin the day with a fresh outlook, We will be blessed with an adventure from begging to end.

closure

Into the world you came

a fresh tender seedling

protected by the elements

you grew into a young man

strong,determined and resourceful

you married, had a family

and in turn, you sheltered

and gave your children the tools

they would require to grow

and succeed in/on their journey thru life

then one day, with your 100th year approaching

your work on earth was done

you were called away

your journey here was over

now…. your children

are left to mourn and say goodbye

saying goodbye is not the same for everyone

nor does each child really have the same memories of what was

for each child is unique, born at different times

their lessons, their knowledge base vary

often … the distance in their thinking

and the process to the solutions are and can be miles apart

The reality is that the Divine energy that connects us all

appears in different forms to each and every one of us

our past is ever-present in our moment

and our moments are always NOW

There is no real beginning or end

We either are, or we are not.

when love is pure,

when love is true

it is endless

closure, is a figment

of the mind.

“you have to feel…”

this is an astounding statement

…You have to feel…

so often I have heard

the words, “I just want to die”

yes it is an expression

usually said when a person is at the end of their rope

they have lost hope or, I can’t take it anymore,

I’ve had enough….These moments pass, but while they are being lived,everything inside feels chaotic, jumbled and turned around. The stomach is unsettled, the mood is “dark” When I was still actively working my practice, I would ask..”when is the last time you danced?” More often than not, the answer was vague, they didn’t recall it was so long ago, or it would be a straight out, “I don’t dance” Dancing is an art form, it is a form of expression, and yes, to some it comes more easily then it does for others.

To be a professional dancer, one must have a passion for the working of the body and mind, in a continuous need,desire to perform, to be able to use your body in every conceivable way to express movement, fluid and flowing, using every muscle in your body, your mind focused so that not a miniscule of energy is anywhere else but in that moment.

Our bodies are important in the managing of our health and our well-being. Dance, in whatever form it takes in your life is a necessity in maintaining a balance between the “yin” and “”yang”, negative and positive in life. You cannot have one without the other.

Even if you just reach and stretch your arms up into the sky above

or out to touch the walls on either side of you, do it with the intent to stretch out as far as you can, then slowly release, exhaling as you do, it well be such an exhilarating feeling, your body will go “wow”..

Stretching is an easy way to begin bringing more activity into your life, it is with slow small steps that we increase our awareness of the body.

Our bodies are our very own, our personal shrine for all that is divine within us.

Practice doing a dance move every day. Don’t let it slip away, do it.

Your body will be with you till the very end. Open your eyes to the need it has to survive and carry you through till you are ready to let go.

remember ? Dead Poets Society

The use of words is very powerful. Once we speak them, we can’t take them back. A teacher in an English high school showed the movie to his students. He showed the movie because he was genuinely passionate about teaching, and he wanted his students to learn, and grow as humans. It wasn’t so they would rebel, but to expand their minds and open up the world around them. Communication is key in any and all relationships.

Today in PL(Perfect Liberty), it is Thanksgiving, a day we set aside each month to show our appreciation and gratitude to God for the blessings we have received. and to give Thanks. A Thankful Heart leads to Happiness. Two services today, one at 10 a.m. and another this evening at 7 pm.

To all the Fathers out there, Happy Father’s Day.. In today’s society, I think that the day should include all the single parents, who have to pull double duty. Being a parent is a life long commitment.

Sunday Hug

You never realize the value of a kind compassionate hug, until you have received on, Sometimes we forget that in some societies a show of affection, or a hug is not something that is done. I’m sure you all know or have known people in your lives who simply don’t hug, or show any kind of outward affection.

Lately there have been groups that form so that they can experience a hug, or what is it I heard and saw on the telly the other month, you could hire someone to hug you. Oh yes, and I was told by a reliable source, that men (sorry don’t know about women) can hire someone to be their girlfriend for an hour or two, where they can just be physically intimate, holding hands, hugging (and being a grown up, should that lead to something else…) What has caught my interest in all of this is that with all that is happening, we can put someone on the moon, we develop technology that can have us talking to people in foreign lands, with just a click of a button. But we still don’t know what a hug is all about.

Remember the “air kiss”… ah, allo, bonjour… kiss, kiss… sometimes one side of the face, sometimes both… and many times it is a real sign of affection and happiness at meeting a friend. However, with anything that is done repetitiously it then becomes a habit and the kisses are given from a mile away (ok slight exaggeration )

Not everyone is comfortable with being hugged, or having someone up close and too personal. Sometimes being there, sharing a coffee, listening and simply being a good listener, with true compassion and love in your heart is enough.

Not everyone is blessed with having grown up in an environment or with people who show their love in a way that includes a warm embrace and a loving hug.

Shared laughter, and a hug that is purely one of love and friendship is a gift that only can be given from the heart. It is when we are truly in the moment and can freely respond to another’s smile, need, or presence that the joy of the moment can be felt.
