over and over!

Day after day, time after time, we get to do some tasks over and over, or hear the same complaints, thoughts, musings from friends, family, co-workers, its a daily grind, getting up going to work, sigh… there are days when the mind just won’t stop babbling away. Then we take a walk, go hiking, or drive by a something new, something we haven’t experienced before. Do we take the time to stop and explore or do we keep on going? When I saw this picture, I stopped! what a WOW factor. Arizona is on my bucket list. My husband surprised me one year by allowing me to think we were going on a trip maybe 10 days) down into the States to see a friend who lives in Montana. What he didn’t tell me was he had mapped out a way to get there showing me a number of States I’d never been to, and then coming back from the west coast so that we traveled back to Ontario,Canada through the Provinces. Now that was an amazing time for me, we didn’t get to Arizona yet, seeing this picture has increased my anticipation. =^_^= ( 9 States and 5 Provinces later we got back home) See the pond that looks like a footprint. Reminds me of the poem Footprints. Put your heart into all you say and do. When we do something over and over, it can get boring, revisit how you do it, put a smile into it. Good Morning Everyone!

In my meditations this morning, I came across a Blessing Chant, I’d kike to share it with you. It is a chant adapted from the Pattanumodana (Teachings of Buddha >edited by Jack Kornnfield)

Just as water flowing in the streams and rivers fills the ocean, thus may all your moments of goodness touch and benefit all beings, those here now and those gone before.

May all your wishes be soon fulfilled as completely as the moon on a full moon night, as successfully as from the Wish-Fulfilling Gem. May all dangers be averted; may all disease leave you.

May no obstacles come across your way and may you enjoy happiness and long life.

May those who are always respectful,honoring the way of the elders, prosper in the four blessings of old age, beauty, happiness, and strength.

PL’s lesson of the day is about being pro-active, in an ever changing society. a reminder to keep our minds and eyes in tune with the changes and to learn to deal with them in a proactive manner. This busy picture taken in Amsterdam, Nederlands (found on Pinterest) while peaceful in it’s own way, is not the tranquility captured by the photographer of the top picture.

Where would you like to be today? Which destination captures your imagination, if you could close your eyes and with a snap of the fingers be right there, in what direction would you go? Choices, ahhhh isn’t life grand! Have a blissful day everyone!

The Key to Success Is to Continue Without Giving Up

You need to continue and persevere to make your wishes and goals come true. Once you start something, continue it until the end. PL teaching – day 8

In PL we believe in living a “Prayerful Life” Morning and evening prayers help us overcome difficulties and live each moment with purpose. Prayer will also help us to progress and improve ourselves as we apply PL teachings in our daily life.

Happy today to you all!

It is raining here, wonderful big drops of rain are falling with abundance, when the wind blows in the right direction, I get a staccato of wet sloppy drops on the window teasing me with their determination. They are full of enthusiasm, they had to have read the PL teaching of the day- Act with Enthusiasm – =^_^=

Rain comes in many forms, gentle, pounding, steady, drizzle, light spray, when you are walking in the rain, as often happens if you have a dog(s) to walk, or if you are a jogger, you know that being in the rain is a totally all encompassing experience. Your sense of smell, sight, and sound are there, and so is that feeling of being wet. No, not like when you are in the shower, swimming or bathing. It is a totally different feeling. A downpour if you get caught in one unprepared can be drenching…..but once you are soaked, lets face it, what is left to do but enjoy the moment. If you think about it, life is pretty much like that. When life throws a wrench into your day, take it in, absorb the reality of that moment, take a deep breath and move on. That moment passed, you survived, gather your thoughts and move on. There is nothing you can’t handle when you take life one moment at a time.

BJ Thomas had a hit many years ago called ‘Raindrops are falling on my head” that song, has stayed with me for years. Although he had many hits back in the 60’s and 70’s this is the song I remember him most for. Enjoy!

Beautiful Words Make for a Beautiful Soul.

PL teaching for day 27 >

Let’s choose to use words that are kind, polite and courteous. Kind words will bring about a kind heart. Beautiful Words Make for a Beautiful Soul.

Often when I look around, I see people engrossed in their electronic gadgets, intent on receiving or sending a message. I saw one woman pushing a stroller with one hand while holding the phone to her ear. In the dress shop, another lady was talking away while she pulled out one garment after another to inspect. A young man was hurrying through the mall, coffee in one hand and his iPhone in the other. I wondered how he could text with the one hand, and still maneuver through the crowd and not bump into something.

If we are constantly tied to a phone, when do we allow the mind/brain to chill? If taking a walk through the park, we are distracted having an electronic conversation, do we see the flowers? smell the fresh cut grass and lush vegetation? hear the call and singing of the birds? A friend told me that the way her family communicates with each other is via text. Does that mean that we no longer enjoy personal contacts/visits. Is tea time a thing of the past? If I’m the person on the other end of the line, are you really connecting with me, or are you shopping? Just wondering………

Relaxation is total peace.

When you relax completely, there is total silence.

This overwhelming sense of tranquility is really what meditation is about. (mindfulness)

Neutral stillness of the mind, renews the tired soul, (regeneration)

God Resides in Your Prayerful Mind

PL teaching for day 13 – God Resides in your Prayerful Mind. In addition to making heartfelt and continuous effort, let’s pray to God. God will surely respond to your Makoto (sincerity)

I would like to share with you a couple of sentences from the chapter Life is Art from our PL member’s guide ” Your Artist Expressions Are what Makes Your Life a Work of Art” . As a living person, you interact with the people and things around in order to express your feelings. your life is shaped by the way you express yourself each and every day. Through your daily artistic expressions, you can create your one and only life.”
I have found since becoming a member of PL that I am soaking in the writings of other members who have put together booklets to help new members understand what the Church of Perfect Liberty is all about. I love sharing our faith -(such sharing is called Shingei) . Each day is a new canvas, just when I think I couldn’t be happier, I read more of the teachings and “life”: gets even better

Thank you for sharing this moment with me. Oshieoya-sama teaches us that the surest way to be blessed is to appreciate all the blessing we have received. Living in Perfect Liberty I feel very blessed.

Perfect LIberty

I’ll have to go back and take another picture now that the snow is all gone. The grass is green and the flowers have begun to bloom. Although this shows the building itself, the welcoming entrance. The love and community in this building gives it a life of its own, always one feels welcome when visiting the church of Perfect Liberty.

I’ve been silent for some time now. No one reason, just that I’ve been busy living day to day, moment to moment. When one focuses on “Being in the Moment” days are full, satisfying and rewarding. I have written a number of introductions to PL for a magazine we have here in Ottawa called Tone. It is my hope that in so doing, there will be others who read the words and thoughts and want to come and explore what PL is all about..

“PL’s teachings are practical and common sense. They are the sort of things you will read in positive thinking and self help books, or hear in motivational speeches. The difference is that the members are assisted in practicing them in everyday life through discussions,consultations and prayer” borrowed from my article in the May issue. =^_^=

I have found that committing myself to being a member of the church has made a difference in my life. I was happy before, now I’m even happier. Oshieoya-sama has said that PL can help unhappy people become happy and happy people become even happier. I believe. The website for the Church of Perfect Liberty in Ottawa is http://www.perfectliberty.ca There are PL churches in parts of the States and in Canada. The Motherland is in Japan, with a second Mother land in Brazil.

Those of you who follow my travels and ramblings know that I am a member of the Second Life community and have spent many years enjoying various communities within SL. I’ve especially enjoyed building, traveling and exploring the virtual world. Now, Q ( Qyhat Harbour) who has spent the last many years as a Tiny is going to open up her home to those wanting to know more about the Church of Perfect Liberty. I so believe that the teachings of Perfect Liberty can make profound changes in a person’s life.I want to share with anyone who wants to learn.
