When fresh snow falls, it lies clean and crisp. As the day progresses, it no longer has the same quality or look, its been walked on, trod on, run across, dropped on…. that initial moment of newness disappears with the passage of time.

giving a presentation can be fun, interesting and certainly if it is appreciated .. rewarding
Usually there is always a lot of hard work and effort that goes into putting/pulling something off in a seamless fashion, or presenting a “brilliant” feature documentary. For a brief time we can look very professional and maintain a certain air of efficiency and know how. BUT, we all need down time, and we all, each and everyone of us, needs time to regroup, to be still, to reconnect with our inner Selves.

A thankful heart leads to happiness. When we really pay attention, we are surrounded by many things we can be thankful for, the society we live in, the kindness shown to us by others. You will be able to find true happiness when you can see and appreciate these things.
Yesterday we had visitors at the feeders. I first caught sight of the red wing blackbird in the morning ..at Dewberry, they were shy, cautious.. staying well off while I refilled the feeders. I was happy to see that the female Grosbeaks that have been there .. were still there, they were patiently waiting .. since I had missed the previous day, they were keen for the sunflower seeds to put out. they didn’t waste anytime getting to the “tables”. It wasn’t long before the happy melodies of contentment was the filling the area.
They were in greater number at Mer Bleue, Kevin who was at the feeders later in the day, saw them too. Don’t know how long they will stay, the milder weather of the past week, brought them to the area. They like marshland which the bog will give them the environment they enjoy, but today the temperatures have dropped. It is around the freezing mark, and it will drop further before the day is out.
We are all wonderful in our own way. Although results are important your effort is what is truly precious.

These days with everyone having to live often in isolation, or in a restricted “bubble”, we often sit behind closed doors. Today China gave us a view of the many moods that play through out the day as she whiles the hours away. She lives in a house of many doors Many days, she sits in her office with the door open, listening for the sounds of the crows, and other birds that fill the daytime skies…. at night she can watch the fireflies and listen for the crickets. We may feel alone at times, but we are NEVER alone. PL Precept # 11 Always be with God.
