on a hill far away

Driving along one day, I spied a happy face. It meant a bit of a climb, but I wanted a close up. Happy under the sun, we shared several of moments in contemplation, the stones, the surroundings and I. Happiness is being alive, to take in and bask in the wonder of the world around us. Where ever you may be. Day or night, you are never alone.

Make every moment count!

Perfect Liberty Precept #21 Live in Perfect Liberty

You are all part of my world and I pray each day for your health, happiness and prosperity. Love to you always.

Success

Have you ever wanted to roam free in the wilds of your country, province, or state? Some of us dare to follow our dreams, and take to the woodlands despite physical limitations, if there is a will, there is a way.

Success doesn’t just happen. It is not just by coincidence that things go well. The results are based on the hard work you have put in up until that moment. Remember to be thankful and use your current success to reach the next level.

vacations

There are days when you are blessed with the opportunity to simply wander. Today I took to country roads that I have not been on before and came across this little creek. I actually stopped the car and got out. Far from any well travelled roads, it was blissfully serene. The sun was high overhead, I could feel the warm rays on my shoulders, head, back, for a second, I wanted to run back to the car and the air con… but.. the sound of crickets and a passing butterfly changed my mind. I stayed.

Lingering on the old bridge, I was rewarded with a delightful pattern of a soft tobacco orange taupe growth. Delicate and interesting displayed against the soft and darker grays of the railing. Man made time was not important, being present in my surroundings, was all encompassing

This for me …. was a vacation.

PL calendar day 10 When you are not having fun, could it be because you are being Lazy? Sometimes you f eel blue or can’t seem to find the joy in doing anything. At times like this, just get up and move your body or work your mind to the fullest extent.

rust you say!

Nay it is art…

under the majesty of the sky

the temperament of the clouds

the treasure lay,

surrounded by a crowd of flowers

lush and green waving in the breeze

cheerfully saying hello to passersby

oh… for a closer look

checking mirrors back and front,

I pulled over to seek my treasure out

not gems that gleam in the sun

but a sturdy piece of artwork

that has been lovingly blessed each day

by natures wonderful expressions

(most call it weather)

set in concrete for all to see,

this piece of art has grown lovelier with each passing season

I can’t say for sure, but I would guess

that not many are struck by its beauty

or come to admire, yet pass it each day

such is life, in French there is a saying

“to each his/her own”

You see rust, you say! Lad show me the way!

PL calendar day 3

Instead of worrying, do something about it..

It doesn’t help to over think situations such as, “What if this happens?” or “Things might end up that way.”  Instead be proactive and change how you see and do things in each situation.

graduation day!!

Cultivando alegria no curso de inglês.  (English follows)

Bringing joy to everyday classes.

On July 5th, I finished my English course as a condition to start the Algonquin College (please, more details about it, see the previous testimony “My journey to Canada”). I had studied for 9 weeks from 9 am to 4:30 pm every day (except for weekends) and that kept me very busy.

In the beginning, I thought I would handle it easily, once people considered my level of English as very good. Actually, it turned out that I have gotten lots of improvement. I realized that I still had many mistakes and, as a result, I did my best to study and learn as much as I could. During the course, I had been receiving Oyashikiri prayer whenever was possible.

There were times that I felt pressure and some concerns appeared (e.g looking for a place to rent), and that began to affect negatively on my performance since I was worried about only the results instead of the learning process. In summary, I was losing the joy and excitement to go to school. As a PL member, I noticed that it was the right moment put in prqactice PL teachings that I’ve learned over the years: everyday express appreciation for the opportunity and pray to bring joy and be creative.

Doing that was a game-changer because I really enjoyed my time at the language school and even my classmates were so pleased to have me there. Definitely, it was a great experience because I have met many people from other countries and I have made valuable friends.

On my graduation day, these new friends showed so much care for me that I became speechless. In the end, we have created a bond between us because some of them shared the same challenges and the same goals as mine, so we could support each other and we can now help each other.

I do have appreciation for God and Oshieoya Sama. The PL teachings are a treasure that can make a huge difference in one’s life like the testimony above.

Thank you for taking this moment to read this. May God bless us all with joy and peace.

Thank you for sharing Yoshi, (Yoshizumi Terada) have a good day everyone… Enjoy a great start to a brand new week!

the living is easy

Good afternoon everyone…

Bright and early I too myself off to the cemetery to cut back the evergreens that I planted there some 30 years ago.  I had intended to take a before picture, but by the time I arrived at the cemetery the heat of the day was already beginning to show itself.  Shy flower that I am… I went over, pulled the weeds, and gathered up the dead leaves for the mulch bag with a determined dedication of purpose.

How is your day so far?  The hot weather is to continue on here for the rest of the week.  Good time to stay indoors and work on projects in my studio.

I have had many ideas these past weeks, but not had the chance to get started.  Today is the day.

How to live an Artistic life...

The PL Principles(21)are the practical guidelines for our daily lives.  As PL members they assist us in practicing the PL Precepts (21)  The 21 Principles are specific guidelines on how to live the PL Way (an artistic life) and teach us how to reach a positive state of mind, so that we can express ourselves more harmoniously and joyfully

Principle #14  I will not have a mind to be lazy.  I will not have complaints while working, nor be overly concerned and complain about others.

Reminder, Ancestors day, July 11th.   service will be at 10 a.m.

working and living

2006a

Working and living =^_^=   go together – living in the NOW means you are interacting and being present all day, whether it is work or play, you are involved.  by putting your best into all you do, the experience is uniquely yours.  What ever you do today, enjoy it. Yes, really… do your best.

PL calendar day 4 – Follow your heart while also thinking about the happiness of others.

Junho 4, Pense em felicitar a si e aos outros, sendo honesto consigo.

Sunday morning

demo new and more

Mixed media….   then..  (found in a thrift shop) bigger white canvas, and the small one is a demo I did to show the use of acrylics, inks, stamps and colours available today.  The contrast appealed to me yesterday.  My intention is to recycle the white canvas.  Stay tuned.

PL Principle #3   will live with a mind of appreciation towards others and things

I have  a huge appreciation for the work that went into doing the big white canvas, it was actually one of 3 pieces.  the middle piece was hexagon and bigger and wider.  Must have made a wonderful  wall piece.

PL Precept # 1 All things progress and develop.

Hit your stride, get out there and enjoy the day.  Love is everywhere, smile and share.
