you are you

prosperity, long life, good health

It is only natural that YOU are different from others. Each of us has our own way of thinking and our own individual lifestyle. that’s what makes life interesting.

I’ve explained to Hermit (doll in last post) that she is who she is, and not everyone will find her to their liking. She understands, at least she says she does, but a friend noted, she looked sad. So I took another look, I took a good look and sought to see the sadness. But it didn’t come, for when I look at her, I feel joy, and giddy sense of “wow, you really rock” She wears her years of experiences, lost love, forgotten friendships, and numerous disappointments for all to see. She can’t help it, she was made this way. I didn’t try to change her, I simply gave her breaks, bruises and scars the recognition they deserved.

We have all felt pain, longing, sadness, we’ve loved, we’ve cried, and the disappointments have taken their toll. Yet, the reality is they have actually made us stronger and more beautiful/handsome., then ever. For in living life, we learn more about our SELVES.. The me, in I.

Chinese New Year (Rat) is January 25th. In China this celebration of “family” and LIFE… goes on for weeks, when able to, everyone that can, heads home. To you my friends, I wish you all, Long life… prosperity and Good health.. YOU are all part of my family.

Hermit

I should have taken a before picture. But… I don’t think I did. She is long, lean and beautiful in her half skeletal form.. maybe at a later date, I will polish her bones that are protruding. For now.. I’m happy to let her rest and bask in the sunlight that streams in from the window on sunny days.

Put your whole heart into everything and express your individuality. When you put your whole heart into expressing yourself, your true beauty will shine through.

the blank BJD comes from China. I do the makeover.

because

I put on wings- can I fly? No.

Because I can’t see you, does that mean you are not there… No

Because you spoke and I didn’t hear, does that mean it didn’t happen. No.

Because I can’t see it, does not mean, it does not exist. LOVE IS

Strive to overcome obstacles by changing your mind-frame. Things don’t always go as planned. When that happens, try changing how you look at the situation or how you are doing things The outcome is in your hands.

It is useless to hold a person to anything he says while he’s in love, drunk or running for office.

Wednesday 15th.

Not picture perfect, but there you have it. Leon has his rights. He knows when it is his time to chill, and he takes it.

It is important to be assertive, but maintaining harmony is just as important. Say what is on your mind clearly but don’t be overly attached to your views. Respect the points of view of others and always seek to find a happy medium.

red sails or Koi

What do we see when we are shown an abstract painting. Do we even see anything at all. Maybe only the colours jump out at you, is it the texture, the groupings. This is one of my latest pieces, turned in all directions. I know which side I see as up, but then when doing the photos, I saw so much else when I viewed it from the different angles.

In my mind when I started, I had the song “red sails in the sunset” running through my gray matter.. later when I stood back and looked at it again, a few days later…. I saw Koi. Each evoked different emotion and thoughts.

When you think.. “I’ve got it,” Think again. It is so easy to misinterpret the situation and jump to conclusions. Always have a humble attitude and double check to make sure.

composting

composting

Good morning all, I used this picture yesterday it is how the Parks and Services composts vegetation they clear in their forest.

runs along the St. Lawrence, from Cornwall towards Morrisburg, Ontario

Often we just take for granted that our park lands, forests our there for us to enjoy and explore. The big pile left to compost over winter and into next season, reminded me of all the workers that we don’t see during the weeks and months that keep the trails free and open for us to use, 4 seasons of the year.

It is important to say thank you, and appreciate those that work behind the scenes, men and women who we don’t get to see, but work doing things that we get to appreciate every day. Last night JR (company here in Ottawa) had drivers out clearing lane ways that were hard to clear due to the heaviness of the snow and ice. built up over the last couple of days. It is a service I pay for. Yet it was not really an amount of snow that they usually come out and do. This was an accumulation over several days.

When I heard the plow in the lane way I was truly grateful and happy. By the time I got myself organized to run out and say thank you.. the plow was at the end of the street moving to the next customer on the street. That gratitude was so heartfelt. I had tried to move the snow, and it was hard, I had given up, and come inside. This was earlier in the day, to get to church I drove over the hard crusted snow. I so dislike car tracks in the snow/ice that leave ruts over time.

I will make time today, to call the company and say thank you. Appreciation feels good, and I want to pass it on. You?

Sunday Jan 12

The mounds you see are chip-wood, or mulch if you will. I tried to get a picture of the haze that was happening over them. If you are able to close in, I hope you will see the steam. Very interesting. When we stop to enjoy, we see “LIFE” happening.. =^_^=

Always be cheerful, happy and good humored. When you make effort to be cheerful and happy, you will naturally begin to feel that way.
