mid month

Good morning everyone, happy start to a new week. Jim Robertson has been kind enough to share with me a post he did awhile back of Mer Bleu, this is a location I go to every day and share pictures with you from that location. October

October is such a fun month. The creativity that I see, the decorations, the parties, the costumes, there is one store in our area, that has racks and racks of costumes and accessories … I notice there are even pop up shops that sell exclusively props and costumes for the occasion.

Even Mother Nature has her fun decorating the trees with her coppers, reds, orange and golds that shine and gleam under clear blue skies. If you are lucky and out at the right time of day, the reflections in the water mirror the beauty that abounds.

Sometimes, you happen to be at just the right place to see a familiar path in a different way.

Yesterday, I had what I thought was a productive day, I began very early in the morning putting together pictures of a new build that friends had put together to add mystery and fun to their Island. (In Second Life)… I had been told it was a haunted house.. how many haunted houses have I visited over the years.. (many)… to my delight when I got there it was different it had an air of mystery, there was a realism to it, the building was almost art deco.,(a period of architecture that I really like)… Inside I felt like I had actually stepped back in time… (You can see more pictures of the “hotel” if you read back to a previous blog*)…

The visit inspired me to actually do one of my virtual blogs. which I happily followed my desire and creative need to express ..more… we all know how that feels.. we are on a roll. Done I sat back and thought, yes… this would be just fine. But when I came to do the categories and tags (fellow bloggers you will understand) I was horrified to see that somehow I had done the blog not on my virtual blog, but on my daily inspirational blog… try as I might I could not find out how to switch all my content to my virtual blog, copy paste, what! In the end, I simply published and then re-blogged to the Virtual blog. ..That didn’t work the way I wanted either, suffice to say, I did get it out to readers, but it was a real “mess” for me.

Today is another day!

Don’t let circumstances sway your decision. It does not help to overthink things, Sometimes we just need to make up our minds and move forward.

A drive through a rural area that I had not visited in some time … a breath of fresh air, living in a bustling city with constant traffic, near 4 major hospitals, a baseball stadium, and bustling commercial areas, this was a drive that was soothing and restful. Wednesday

When the leaves begin to fall, that is when we find secret treasures in the woods. There are times when life happens,

When this car was found late one autumn day .. in an empty lot .. off a country road, far away from anywhere I would usually be… even tho’ I knew nothing about the car.. I felt a sadness … somehow it just felt abandoned, I thought of that car for days,… and then the vision faded and the moment was lost in a folder somewhere … today I found the folder again.. and all the feelings of that moment when I first saw the car came flooding back… Only this time.. I appreciate the rediscovery of that moment. It had been a fun day, a day out with a friend, simply exploring.

If like myself, you are a person who captures memories/moments … you know the happy moment of rediscovery. What was is gone, but the memories live on. Only constant in life is change. ( one of my mantras)

Make today a “Give back day” We can live our daily lives owing to our ancestors, our elders, and the work of our predecessors. Above all, kindness for others is the best way to give back,

Enjoy!

Talk about a quiet little hide-a-way. I was just telling a friend who asked how I have been doing the last while how much I enjoyed the change of seasons. We have gone from days on end of above average sunshine and hot weather, to typical fall weather, cool, damp, raining days/nights / with periods of clear skies.

Colours were appearing everywhere, the skies were blue and beckoning. Not so yesterday when I passed by these trees, the rain had pelted down for hours on them, many of the leaves had given up and let go, Change can happen in an instant. When it does, what is there to do but accept. Today is another day.

I came across the picture of the little hide-a-way when I was looking for something else, It struck me as being peaceful. Had me wondering what it must be like to live tucked away like that ,.. is it an opening to a cave, or just a deep overhang.?? I had collected the picture for one of my Thursday door blogs, and today isn’t Thursday, but I wanted to spend time “imagining/dreaming” of just what this little “home” was all about. Anyone out there, does it spark an interest?

Enjoy what happens. people who can enjoy anything happening to them receive wisdom for the next step. Try to work on things without being overly concerned.

Listening

Listening is an ‘ART’… on my walks I listen… for nothing in particular, it is an exercise… being quiet and listening to my surroundings. When I began this exercise many moons ago, I found that my thoughts would often vie for my attention. The chatter could get rather annoying, with time, I learned to accept and let go of the thoughts that pushed to the front for attention.

An interesting “realization” came one day when I noticed that when the chatter ceased to be a nuisance, I “saw” things more clearly. In my walks I saw the smallest details in the over crowded vegetation, like the lens on my camera.. details became visible, giving broader perspectives. My mind took visual pictures that translated themselves into sometimes verbal, other times nonverbal moments of awareness.

Listen to others until the end, If you put your thoughts first, you will not be able to listen to others until the end. Firstly, listen to others to the end and understand them well.

In Perfect Liberty we believe in prayer (positive thinking/meditation) whatever the definition is to you, it is when we take time to be present in our world, and focus with full intent on what it is we are thinking of at that moment in time.

On the 21st we hold special service with a ceremony that expresses our gratitude and appreciation. It is a time where we focus on the physical and mental sufferings of not only PL members but of society/friends family/and everyone who needs that extra layer of love/healing in their lives.

The 21st is set aside for a service of appreciation, however, prayer for others and healing and loving energy is something that is needed 24 hours a day ..every day.. When I am asked for prayer I gladly add time in my daily meditations to include those who need a helping hand. I know many of you share my “way” and believe in the power of prayer.

Please today, add a universal prayer for the sick and lonely, this is a season of change, many won’t ask for help, but they are struggling. When I was younger, I would see people on the bus as we travelled towards our destinations, make a small cross on their forehead (with thumb)when we passed a cemetery or church. I took that in, liked it, I like the respect that it showed and adopted it in “my thinking/beliefs” A small gesture but it meant a lot to me.

When we believe we express our appreciation for blessings we have received.. Let’s pass it on.

The parking lot was empty, I was alone there, but in reality I was not.. the woods were teeming with life, and behind me eating in the feeding area, were over a dozen wild turkeys, half a dozen blue jays, mourning doves, chickadees, nuthatch, chipmunks and squirrels, and my ever present raven was carrying on with his daily bulletin on life as he sees it. Cuz you don’t see something… doesn’t mean that. that is what IS!

Hello!

A gift (picture) from a friend who was travelling. A picture can tell a story, and this one was especially vocal, can you just imagine the joy at finding this inviting swing to sit and enjoy a quiet moment in time while you are wandering and exploring. Many of you are writers … does this scene not conjure up a couple of story lines … It is romantic and mysterious at the same time. Share your thoughts if you find it twigs an idea. I know she was travelling somewhere in Europe, for sure I get an old time vibe. Can’t wait to get time with her to hear about her adventure.
