once upon a time

Chika Qu was born on a sim in Second Life. There she sits forgotten, no where to go, and no one to talk to. That is what happens, when time goes by, and another life is forgotten. Someone gets left behind.

Be free of your attachments. If you are obsessed with doing something in only a certain way, it narrows your choices. Keep your options open and be flexible.

you listening?

Believe me, the deer was very aware of our movements, in a flash it would have dashed away had we come any closer. Obviously used to human traffic .. the deer was not perturbed by our presence, but there was an awareness. Basically that is the way I am, when I encounter, new surroundings, or groups of people. Aware. At least I try to be, unlike the deer I can be distracted.

In my prayers, and meditations, I ask for guidance .. to be more aware, is to be kinder to other’s feelings, avoid accidents, be prepared to lend a helping hand.. and so on. How often do we become caught up in the moment, and miss an important message, or signal, that had we been “aware” could have altered an outcome.

Value your intuition. Be aware

peek-a-boo

The sculptures in the fall autumn settings were jaw dropping. The love of wood and what a craftsman can do with a piece of wood is something that I truly appreciate. Walking through the park I not only got to see real black bears, but the carvings of many woodland creatures.

It has been far too long since I have walked through the woods, surrounded by the falling leaves, and glorious views that are growing out of massive boulders and rock. Quebec has to be one of the most beautiful provinces in Canada (to me) when it comes to geography it blasts me away. It has a rugged beauty that can assail the senses 4 seasons of the year.

shall we share a cuppa ?

Since there is no getting out of your vehicle where the animals are, and I only had my Huawei the bears were cuddly little balls of fluff, and we know they were big waddling masses of muscles, teeth and claws. So the pictures are for reminders of that moment in time. only. We did get to see their dens, and how some liked to be social and others liked to maintain their distance This big ball of fur had a tan nose, and had placed himself high on a rock ledge overseeing his domain. Very imposing. Body language can say volumes.

What will yours say about you today?

Thursday doors

Some looked high, some looked low, we looked behind trees, deep into the trees, under rocks, finally a door was found.

Don’t give up! Keep at it until you accomplish what you’ve started or set out to do.

A friend who had been a linesman for a Communication giant, was charged with the maintenance of their lines. In those days, lines were overland. He always spoke with a reverence of the lands he traveled. He was out in the elements every day, through all the season. This year, why this year, maybe because the weather was just perfect for the changing of the seasons, in the plant world. For whatever reasons, no matter, where, or when, in whatever direction I was travelling, the glory of Nature’s magnificence was everywhere.

princess shoe

What to do….. I found a shoe….. not just any shoe …. a Disney princess shoe. Some might think I should have just left it there, after all what are chances f finding the princess who lost her shoe. I was in a Coscto parking lot, need I say more. For those unfamiliar with Coscto, they are huge warehouse stores scattered across the United States and Canada.

Coscto is a members only experience. Some like my husband, just would not pay to shop, and then there is (in his view) the insult that you have to line up to leave the store to show your receipt and have an attendant mark that they have checked your basket. AND it is a warehouse, you buy in bulk, it started out (I believe) selling only to business’s. I digress.

This little shoe looked so forlorn, If you know how much a little person, even older ones, enjoy their dolls, and the friends they make of them, you may understand, my need to rescue the shoe.

Gone are the days when I could go to the community centre and put up a notice, “found, missing shoe”. There must be thousands of princess dolls just in one area of the city, never mind the whole city. Never the less, the shoe came home with me, and now sits there wondering what it is to do since, it is missing its sister shoe.

I did wonder, what the little parent will do when she/he realizes that the little Princess has lost her shoe. Would the grown up parent go out and purchase another pair of shoes? Oh yes it can be done, but you have to know where to go. There is a whole world within our grown up one, that caters to dolls and their needs. Remember I wrote about taking one of my dolls to have her hair done and ears pierced. =^_^=

These items are all in miniature, and suitable for a doll house. Some one had cleverly done this shadow box, I found it, but did not procure it or bring it home. Ahhh was that a sigh I heard, it was faint but I do believe there was a sigh of relief somewhere out there. =^_^=

Yes the little Piglet and I did go to Montreal yesterday, we went up one highway and came back another, the colours were magnificent. I have been so dazzled the last few weeks, that I am now wanting to get out my paints, and for that purpose I am gathering my canvas in the different sizes, to see what I am going to do.

Yes, we stopped in Alfred for Steamer hot dogs, and poutine with fresh curds, no it was not lunch, we had lunch at the pasta place in Montreal with the fresh pasta and special sauces all made inhouse. Suffice to say, it was late when we got back, and I …….. did NOT eat again.

I trust you are all enjoying the holiday week-end. I count my many blessings every day.

PL Principle # 3 I will live with a mind of appreciation towards others and things.

Bonnie

Do my friends know me .. or what…

Bonnie is away celebrating the Thanksgiving (Canadian) long week-end with family in other parts of the Province. She saw this and stopped to capture it, knowing she would delight me to pieces when I opened her e-mail.

I noted Bonnie you remained a lady, and unlike me, didn’t go over and take pictures all around the vehicle, and even try to waylay the owner. =^_^=

Friends are worth their weight in gold, and more. Have a good day everyone. Ancestor’s day service will begin at 10:a.m. this morning.

dolls

Meet Blythe doll #1, I say #1 because I have another one on order. I took Blythe to the doll club meeting yesterday, but didn’t get a chance to introduce her. I suspect she will come with me again to the meeting in November. We meet once a month.

Things never turn out like we think they might. My experience through life has been to roll with the dice. I had started to explain about items I had brought in to share, however, there was so much to cover in a two hour period, that I simply didn’t have the time to talk about the fall, October, November, when we in North American celebrate Thanksgiving as a yearly holiday. October for us in Canada, and I believe it is in November for residents of the United States.

Sitting with Blythe 1 is a pin cushion my sister knitted for me while she watched TV with me and chatted. Something I have not mastered. I do one or the other, but not at the same time. =^_^= For those of you who will ask, that is an upside down Chinese skull cap, and that is the pigtail hiding off to the side/back.

The Blythe doll, is an artists “toy” she wears a wig, that we can change, her skin comes in different colours, and you can buy different coloured eyes for her. The artists who play with her actually do her makeup, redo hair, dress her (her body is smaller than her head) There are two screws at the back of her head, so that you can get at her eyes.. the lids come down and you paint on those too.

So why the second doll. Because … I want to take this one apart, and play. That is what creative inquisitive individuals do. =^_^=

There is a saying or song.. Life is but a dream…. in mine nothing is impossible. Some discoveries are more fun than others, but all are interesting and worthwhile.

Make each and everyday count.
