With the snow still falling… I wanted to hear the water rushing, see it happily gurgling along… I have not seen this much snow this early in December in awhile. Everyone wishing for a white Xmas will be happy…. so will the X country skier’s and snowshoes trekkers/ hikers… it is pretty, I’ll give it that. Hopefully the roads will be plowed. The forecasters are still calling for snow warning….
Start today with a fresh outlook. Even though people and situations may look the same, they are constantly changing. Start each day with a fresh mind.
This fell in a very short period of time. The forecast is it will continue to fall all day in huge amounts. They are calling it a mammoth storm. Temperatures are around 30 degrees F. and are aging to stay in that range for the day. I am considering my options… Appointment for winter snow tires is next week.
Have a joyful day by being a little more creative. you will enjoy your day more by adding a little creativity to your daily activities.

If ever ever I have any doubt that the holiday season has arrived, I visit friends who know just how to celebrate the season. Every year their home is one huge present to the neighbourhood. At night the house, trees, and inside are a festive kaleidoscope of colour. The one tree you see is festooned with hundreds of ornaments. Every year I get to meet new pieces.
The house is ablaze with cheerfulness, no matter where you look, there is colour, sparkle and the joyful wonder of the season … this takes hours and days to do. Their makoto (sincerity) in sharing their love of the season… echoes and vibrates in the atmosphere. That little nose you see is one of 5 little pups, maybe all of 5, 6 weeks old.. The other dogs, whippets and borzoi were resting in their crates. Believe it or not.. the house is usually full of active dogs.. yet the decorations and except for one or two favourite ornaments – the welcoming scene remains intact for all to enjoy.
If you’re going to do it, give it your best effort. Your actions will be dulled if you worry too much about the outcome. Once you decide on a course of action, don’t hesitate to complete your task.

Something to tuck away to look at .. later.. Mindfulness teaches that interruptive thoughts are actually very pliable and like elastic bands… we can snap them out of the way… put disruptive thoughts aside, “you can tend to them later” ( I have a drawer full of elastic bands.. all colours and sizes…just saying..) The day comes, I open up the drawer and toss them all away.. why… I forgot what they were for. =^_^= ….
Someone asked me “where do birds go to die”… Last night I was reading that the birds work very hard at surviving our winters… the nights are the worst time.. they have to eat enough to fuel their bodies till they can feed again.. they huddle puffed up in their “safe” place till they can start feeding again as soon as the daylight begins again,
I went around yesterday to various shops looking for “fats” to try my hand at making suet cakes for them, Every little bit helps.. This is a month where so much is happening, celebrations around every corner, people gathering … Please remember that not everyone will live the same experiences, or have the same opportunities. Reach out if you can.. remember to smile… and share a positive or happy vibe whenever you can.
You can be with God by having a prayerful mind. Let’s pray for world Peace. We are all one big family. Let’s start by praying for the happiness of those around us.

This wild turkey surprised me by hopping up to the branch that I had just buttered with the suet the woodpeckers and smaller birds love. He was not going to be left out. It was high off the ground, I have to stretch to butter the crevice, but that was not a problem.. I turned and there he was we were face to face.

You have all heard me go on about my morning outings. This is one of the locations I go, the other one is at Mer Bleue. Both are NCC Conservation area.
Please if you have time, visit Jim’s website, he has the most wonderful photographs that will take you on a visual journey through the many places he has visited. I delighted in his pictures of the birds that I have gotten to know “intimately”… (I see daily) and interact with. I often get asked about the feeders, with Jim’s video.. you will see where I “hang out” and spend endless hours just “BEING” in nature and with the birds and assorted wildlife that come to visit.
It’s easier to adapt to something when we find it interesting. No matter how enjoyable a situation is, a slight change in our attitude can make it boring. Let’s face any situation with curiosity and enthusiasm.

After the big storm we had last spring, I went in search of this ancient tree, it was still standing, but had lost some of its upper limbs. These past few days it has been so busy for me, that when I look in the mirror.. I see a reflection (kind of) looking back at me that reminds me of this tree trunk. LOL.. every line, every crevice tells a story. (yes I have a vivid imagination!) …. Just saying… when morning comes and you wake up wondering how long it will be before you can reclaim your spot in bed…
It is a busy month. Let’s ALL take a moment in the day to reflect on what this month is all about. Not tinsel and sparkle.. but JOY and GRATITUDE, Peace on Earth, Goodwill…..
Express yourself clearly so others can understand you. when you can’t communicate clearly, it can lead to problems. Always express yourself carefully to avoid any misunderstandings.
Thank you Universe… I would be so lost without my friends… If my friend hadn’t skyped me I would still be tucked in my bed .. totally unaware that I was and will be late late late…. Now that I’m late… what can I do but accept the fact.. and deal with it.
Think “now is the time” instead of “it’s no use now” Don’t give up by thinking it’s too late. Tell yourself that there is more that can be done.
