happy not

not a happy face, nope, no joy found here

we, each and every one of us

is entitled to happiness

and the joy of living in a world

full of promise and hope

past charm

true, what was,

sometimes fades with the

changing seasons

but it is what is inside that counts

happy and even sad memories

make up our past

yet here we are

starting a brand new day

our lives continue

like sparkling  spring water flowing

over the dips and valleys

happily gurgling along

over the variety of rocks

there really is no other choice, but to go with the flow

so why not use what dissatisfaction

and momentary complaints that come our way

as catalysts to improve and change our days

so that happiness is the mainstay

of our  daily “every day” lives.

looking back

MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

It really was just another day on the road.  We stopped, and I got this feeling that we were being watched.  You cannot see in this picture, but in the darkness of the woodlands, was a deer checking us out….  well ok, I can’t say for sure it was a deer, but it had four legs, and piercing eyes.

MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

I tried for another look, at that time I was using a digital Minolta, I confess that I am not a stealthy hunter when I cross over brush and fallen logs to get a closer look.  At the time, I didn’t know about  phone cameras where I could see what I was stalking.  It is in clearing an area on a shelf for a new acquisition ( an airplane clock) that I found the delinquent disk, with pictures from “another time”- labelled Bancroft.

MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

From the pictures of the interior of the darkened woodland, I see I was determined .. and was not going to just walk away.  I’m  happy to say that this stubborn streak is still with me, much to the chagrin of others.   Now looking back many years later, what I have to show for this adventure of mine, is pictures of a forest woodland that held on to its mystery and mystic, why share the pictures, it’s a case of you had to be there… really there to appreciate the moment. =^_^=

MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA  – gone gone gone, replaced many moons ago.

MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

I have no idea what this last picture is all about, but decided to include it since there is so much black in the other pictures.  As a photographer, you have to accept that some of your artist captures, are not always, A1, but for sure, they all capture that moment in time, when you thought Ah Ha….

some one, or some thing

watched in the shadow of the trees

drawn to the feeling of being watched

I let myself be captured by the slight movement of the leaves

as always when totally caught up in the moment

my heart did a little dance

my sense of awareness went into over drive

would we connect

would my lens find its mark

no matter, I had to pursue my  need

to capture what I couldn’t really see

this adrenalin is pure, it comes from within

the artist in me is alert

for in a nano second, I’ll press connect

to the instrument in my hands

the moment passes, the thrill happened

will the climax be complete

when I look at the

picture on the screen

no matter what

I lived the moment

and the picture

that I will see

will be

a forever reminder

that in that second

I was part of life

in that space and time

MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

Do you believe that you are always connected to the Universe, and that, there are times, you are drawn to produce, or create something, because it just feels right..?  I believe that we are all artists in our own way, sometimes, what we do, is clear, the picture, a “master piece”  It conveys something to the artist and the viewers alike.  Other times, it is a reflection of a moment that came and went.  No more, no less.

Just be

China

China,Zhangijajie National Park

For years, China’s history and her folk-lore have been

part of my heritage and hold  a special place in my heart

China, zhangjiajie national park

land of fantasy and myth

a place where  Pandora came to light

how enchanting, riveting and bright

is the memory of the geography

that first gave me glimpse into a world

that captured my imagination and drew me in

china in black and white

the reality of what it must be like to live work and play

in such a world is way beyond what I live

in my own personal day-to-day

Xian-os-Guerreiros-de-Terracota

Yet like the discoveries of yesterday

we too, our lives as we live today

will be the wonder of another generation

Now more than ever,

we should be aware of how in the past,

a whole way of life changed

yet

and remember this, each man, woman and child

lived, laughed, loved and cried

like we do today.

the lands stay fertile and the mists still shroud the rock faces

for they are part of Nature, and live their natural cycles

with acceptance and grace, growing and harmonizing

with the environment and the life around them

Why is it, that we (humans beings) feel a  need to conquer

divide,fight and control

somewhere

China, Guangxi

What a week-end, I feel like I’ve not stopped since Thursday. Used to having my own time, and travelling at my own speed, having to be somewhere 3x in one day, is really a learning experience. Each of the 3 places were in different parts of the city, one was even across the border in another Province.  That was one day, the next day was more of the same.  I like to think that I’m flexible and adaptable, but….. no….. it got done, but on both evenings I crashed early and slept 13 hours one night, and 11 the next.

jaquar sleepin in tree

Like the jaguar sleeping in the tree high above ground in the Amazon (Brazil) I was out for the count.  I had no trouble falling asleep, or staying asleep.  Both days were full, total focus was required on the events we attended.  We could have been anywhere, somewhere, we simply were.  When we are totally involved in the interactions we are focused on, the body, mind and spirit all come together, work together, and come time to shut down, take a break, its like a switch is flicked, and we are in dreamland.  “out for the count”

I’m everywhere, anywhere, somewhere, and nowhere… all at the same time…. It is time to chill and zone out…..

See you soon, I’ll think of you

maybe I’ll even see you

where ever that some where will be

I’ll be loving you.

closure

landscape 2Into the world you came

a fresh tender seedling

protected by the elements

you grew into a young man

strong,determined and resourceful

you married, had a family

and in turn, you sheltered

and gave your children the tools

they would require to grow

and succeed in/on their journey thru life

then one day, with your 100th year approaching

your work on earth was done

you were called away

your journey here was over

now…. your children

are left to mourn and say goodbye

9ac112dc760449a9546f90a0339878d8

saying goodbye is not the same for everyone

nor does each child really have the same memories of what was

for each child is unique, born at different times

their lessons, their knowledge base vary

often … the distance in their thinking

and the process to the solutions are and can be miles apart

cbe5afe3807f14c0ed8555e9e8ec4b39

The reality is that the Divine energy that connects us all

appears in different forms to each and every one of us

our past is ever-present in our moment

and our moments are always NOW

There is no real beginning or end

We either are, or we are not.

when love is pure,

when love is true

it is endless

closure, is a figment

of the mind.

please, a smile for you?

donkey flowersGood morning, I picked these just for you

How are you today?  Is it sunny down your way?

Oh dear, what is a shower or two

After all, we are getting to share a moment

Before I have to say adieu..

ballet

Yesterday was a wonderful day

I’m sorry I missed my time with you

I knew you would understand

Friends and I, were out on a drive exploring

and simply enjoying the day

Seeing the sights and getting to know each other more

Life would be such a bore,

if we didn’t make time to play

The beauty and wonder of it all

Is that my friends are from Japan,

I got to show them a small part of Canada

and experience their delight in viewing my homeland

Morrisburg, on St Lawrence River.

We got as far as the St. Lawrence River,

where we could stand, and they could see

our closest neighbour, the United States of America

crops soybean

Farmer’s fields were newly sewn, some early crops were to be seen

Everything was green, as far as the eyes could see

Language barriers vanished when the sharing

was the visual all around  us

country living, sheep

In Perfect LIberty, we truly believe that Life is for Living

and that Life is Art

Rev. Atsushi, Rev. Mamoru and I had a exquisite day yesterday

we put our full Makoto (heart/sincerity)  into what we did

the day will be a memory that will last for a very long time

In sharing it with you, we hope that it

will bring a smile to your day.
