The mind gathers up and stores the many moments we live. Some are easily found .. and others elude us for years till something happens that recalls or brings back that moment in time .. Other moments are dropped into a memory pocket with others, and all we get later is a vague glimpse into… a moment lived/shared.
Make happiness with willingness. People who like to make an effort can enjoy anything. Those who spare no effort for anything and anyone know the joy of making art. Make an effort with willingness.
Change…. we are still in the fall, this snow will likely disappear before the hard core snow arrives, It was so peaceful in the parking lot when I took this picture, Temperatures had dropped, there was no one else around, I was able to take my time and enjoy the moment,
In PL we live with the philosophy that if everyone could learn to express themselves artistically, all the wars around the world would cease, leading to a peaceful society, We believe that in respecting one another and working for each other’s happiness, world peace could be achieved. Today in PL we have a ceremony (the 1st of each month) called the Day of Peace. it will be held at 10:00 a.m. EST.
Each Person’s peace leads to world peace. First of all, you have to be happy. That happiness will spread and be the foundation of World Peace.
It has been raining these past few mornings, still the little ones come for breakfast, Photographer Jim Robertson was out the other morning, and captured these two regulars. (https://adobe.ly/3QB6AOc ) It never fails to amaze me how sweet and friendly the little critters are. The Chipmunks can be hard to see as they gather up the corn, nuts, seeds amongst the leaves. The nuthatch can be bold… but usually behaves when strangers come by,
Put Makoto even into small things, Don’t let things go with “oh well” you will have a different outcome if you put Makoto (sincerity) in all you do.

Trow has been playing this month, at Voodoo Lounge, (Isle du Noir), Warehouse Speakeasy, the Creede Colorado Fall fair, and now this coming Thursday, October 19th, he’ll be on Spice Island, at the Spice Restaurant and Social Club Park. 3 pm slt. I was asked recently if his performances are all the same, and the answer to that is NO.. Trow has been playing professionally in RL for a long time, and in SL almost 16 years. He has a very varied inventory of songs/music… he delights in mixing them up to give his audience something different every set. He will often change up his set to suit the “mood” or ambience of the venue. His long time fans know, he can be full of surprises. If you have yet to catch him .. you are in for a treat… no two sets are ever the same.
Doc Avalon suggested we visit the haunted house on Isle du Noir, China’s first reaction.. this would be a great place for a party…. then she met the guests. (^_^) It is a great place for all you camera buffs out there that want to take pictures in your newest and latest scary outfits for the next two weeks. Trow plays the Warehouse Speakeasy the first Thursday of every month. Watch for him November 2. 5 pm slt. Notices will be sent out in advance. There are several DJ’s who are worth noting .. and searching out, you will have seen them either on or after Trow at different locations. DJ Speelo Snook … DJ. Caron Parnall …. DJ Hannah Thorn …. These personalities offer a wide eclectic range of music… look them up. DJ Caron and D,J Hannah have started up a new venue .. info. is not currently available.. but should be soon.

A drive through a rural area that I had not visited in some time … a breath of fresh air, living in a bustling city with constant traffic, near 4 major hospitals, a baseball stadium, and bustling commercial areas, this was a drive that was soothing and restful. Day follows night. Seasons change. Fall is slowly creeping in, the colours are beginning to emerge, the darkness when I wake at 5 is always something I have to get used to, During the longer days when there is light… I feel so much peppier. If one can be peppy at 5 a.m. The colours tho’ when I drive along to the conservation area are magnificent. Every day there is a new discovery. Truly … you can drive by in one direction and be totally taken in by the scene before you… then coming back with the sun higher and coming from behind you, it is another vista altogether. Nothing can compare to the showcase Nature provides us with when we take the time to look and enjoy,

I have recently travelled many miles to find a good old fashioned steamed hot dog, the way I grew up loving them. I grew up in la Belle Province de Quebec. Please read all about the Quebec Hot dog in this piece I found on good old Google https://roadstories.ca/hotdog-steame-steamy/ There is nothing like the feel of the warm steamed bun, the hot dog covered in the toppings of your choice . I had to take the picture from the internet of the hot dog because when I finally found a steamed hotdog made the old fashioned way, I devoured it.. My sister said I didn’t breathe, I simply ate. She was being kind and didn’t mention the sounds I was making of “pure gastronomic pleasure”. (shown is an .. all dressed)
My Mother made them at home for us from time to time, but it is never like getting it at the roadside casse croute/diner or establishment that makes them … serving them with real French fries, cut on location, and made fresh… Not the ready made we get in a lot of places now. Sigh. I could go on, but I will spare you, suffice to say if you are in Quebec where they are still serving a real steamed hot dog. Indulge. The diner where I finally got one after searching for several weeks here in Ottawa and on the Quebec side of the river, is on 10th line in Orleans and is called La Belle Province,*
