I have been a door chaser now for a very long time. I first realized that I had this “attraction” when a new PR director came to a television station I worked for. The door to his office was one that had a middle panel that was “window”. Whenever you walked by, which for me was often enough, you could see a big poster he had on his wall. It was a poster of doors from the city he had come from. I had never seen the like and was enchanted, so much so, on his next trip back home, he got me a similar poster… I was thrilled. Since then, I have been “hooked” on doors.
Obviously I am not alone … since we are so many who happily post and share every Thursday (when possible) one or some of our doors from our “stash”. Happy Thursday everyone.. I look forward to touring later to see what has been posted.

The day was sunny and bright when I started out, then it began to cloud. I was surprised at how fast the day went from bright to overcast. What also surprised me was that so many of the houses, store fronts, and businesses, were devoid of Holiday Decor. Unusual, I think this is the first time I have seen the city look so bleak. I heard the weather forecast, it seems there is a big snow storm brewing that will hit the eastern States, they mentioned NY and PA. But, since that same storm is what is affecting us with the cloud cover, it must be a “beauty”. I also heard that Michigan was hit recently with a big storm. You can see from my pictures, there is not much snow in our area. Still I would have expected more Holiday displays during my drive.
Strive to overcome obstacles by changing your mind-frame. Things don’t always go as planned. When that happens, try changing how you look at the situation or how you are doing things. The outcome is in your hands.

There is always a reason something happens the way it does. PL Precept # 17 Grasp what is most essential.
They lean against each other, enjoying the moment… each with his/her own thoughts.. knowing the weather is changing, wondering if they will last the winter.
It is important to be assertive, but maintaining harmony is just as important. Say what is on your mind clearly, but don’t be overly attached t your views, respect the points of view of others and always seek to find a happy medium.
It was raining over the ice covered ground, but still I made my way to the feeding area. I was rewarded with this fella, he was not disturbed by my presence, and I was thrilled that he continued eating away, while I refilled the other feeders. He was a big guy, compared to the one I met later at the other feeder.
this one was shy, he/she stayed pretty much behind the suet.
Offer your services instead of expecting from others. Take the initiative to do what you can to help others. Understand their needs and act swiftly.

Enjoy the moment while you wait… Things come about when they are meant to happen, Think of what you can do for the time being, and don’t rush the outcome.
With gratitude and appreciation in our hearts, we say goodbye to a man who touched our lives in a way that with his passing left us with a profound grief, yet filled with a joy that his spirit will be with us always.

Oshieoya-Sama (Master Takahito Miki) lived the PL Way, and through his example, we (each and every member) benefited. We said/say goodbye, but it is only at the loss of his physical presence, for he will live through the teachings of PL. PL teaches us that every day is a new beginning.
We must continue to strive to live as ONE with the Universe, and work towards World Peace.
We are all collectors of one thing or another. This is another one of my “passions” It is part of my “love” of wood, and things old and rusted.
When taking on a task, start fresh without being biased or jumping to conclusions. When thinking is too rigid, you will be unable to deal with ideas in a flexible and constructive way. Always strive to look at things with a fresh mind.

Habit is.. get out of bed. Make it.. Someone had a different idea, after her morning outing, she decided she hadn’t finished with her “bedtime”. I had to leave to get to church. Did she get to stay on the bed, or was it made before I left?
The key to solving problems is within you. the problems that appear before you can surely be solved. give it your best effort, and the answers will come to you as long as you remain strong in your conviction that all will turn out well.
