Beautiful friendships, so appreciated that Thursday Doors has opened up the joy of sharing. Marie Claude is sharing some of her pictures with us taken from her travels in the Province of Quebec…. Look at the bear! What has he discovered? I loved the flowers flowing out from this barn…. and look at the beautiful presentation of the flowers along the barn walls. You can feel the love and the artistry the creators of these views had… they laboured to create a view for everyone to enjoy!
This world is full of beauty and people who share their passion for nature- Let’s appreciate the positives!

Two of my special dolls… waiting around for me to decide what to do with them .. where to put them.
I no longer have all my “dolls” I’ve adopted them out over the last couple of years, … you have all heard me say, the only constant in life is change… this morning, Quincy was very patient, he didn’t start yowling at me till he heard me stirring, However, I am learning he is very insistent, I was late getting up… its only 57 degrees here this morning.. nice change… I was enjoying being lazy. He had other ideas.
He was looking for his breakfast. I had walked into the kitchen a few times, and he was right there at my heels… however, I realized I wanted my cell phone.. and turned to go back for it.. he grabbed my leg and held on????? What is this behavior. I know its been awhile since I’ve lived with a cat.. but really!
Today is the start of a new week! A friend and photographer from the church will be travelling to France in a week or so. He’ll be gone for 5 weeks, and will be taking pictures of doors and windows.. two of my fav. subjects. I have lots of windows myself. do any of you know if there is a weekly feature of/on windows, like we have on doors??

I had been trying to find a picture of the fireworks in Japan that used to take place August 1 at PL headquarters – instead I found this picture .. which is a riot of colour and shows “nature” in one pf her finest moods. The fireworks were to show the awesome delight of watching the amazing artistry of fire in the skies. Why… why was I wanting to showcase electric, dynamic and soul satisfying visuals.. because I wanted to show you how JOY can look, feeling it is hard to capture in words.. because everyone has a different way of using words.. but we all catch our breath when we see fireworks against the midnight black of the skies. or a bouquet of nature’s finest beauties artistically displayed against a clear blue sky.
I am very blessed that I have happiness and love in my life. It is our decision whether to focus on what makes us unhappy or to live in a state of happiness. I choose “HAPPY”… this = contentment….

Even the animals are feeling the heat. It has been brutal, the storm last night did little to clear the air, the heat warnings are still in effect.
