why?

Why?

I tried, I wanted to

I even brought my pens with me, I planned it all, the lined pages,

pristine white, blank pages,

for days I even  practiced the different styles of lettering

anticipation high, time to doodle and write.

Yet when I got to where we were going,

Not once, did I use the pens to practice my lettering

The pads of blank pages, came home empty.

Why?

It is the journey, the living each day that is important, obviously, while away my time was filled with happy moments, new discoveries,  a sense of adventure and of course, the cherished company of a wonderful husband and our two frisky “canine children”

PL Precept # 18  Each moment is a turning point.

When we live in the NOW, there are no regrets.

PL Precept # 11  Always be with God

Anticipation

as the days grow warmer the anticipation grows

soon, not only will we celebrate a new day

the new buds of spring will come alive

and the art of the bloom

will bless and bring colour

to skies that have been winter gray

Bees will actively tend their hives

and our toes will be free again

Thursday Doors 3.10.17

door 2 march 9.17

drums beating a steady rhythm

a deep droning chant

accompanied the talking drums

somewhere within the lush vegetation

there would be a path

leading towards the origins

of the mesmerizing communication

behind each door

is a the total sum

of what “Nature/Universe”

has in store for us

find the door

open the door

and walk through

for all you do

each passing day

if look to find the door

meant for you.

oh no!

snow-dec-7_003Oh NO! the snowman exclaimed

I’ve lost my head again

As onlookers turned away

and shoppers kept rushing by

All he could do was  gasp and horror

as he saw his nose fall to the ground

people came and went on their way

not once did anyone notice

that the little snowman

was having a difficult day

the fresh snow on the ground

made the parks so merry and gay

snow-dec-7_004there was a shop down the lane

that if only someone would stop

he could tell them the way to find his friends

he knew his friends would come

help him put his head on again snow-dec-7_001with  a sigh of relief,

he saw his friends coming his way

oh joy, oh happy day!

you’ve come just in time

somehow my head fell off

and I’ve been at a total loss

I closed my eyes, and wished and prayed

and now….!!!! joy oh joy…!!!

I can stand tall and proud again

his nose and smile back in place

he was ready to smile out at the world again.

Life can get very busy, especially at this time of year.  We rush from one chore to another, our mind always on the task at hand.  While this is good, being efficient is always a positive, however, take time this year, to make time for your inner self, and for the friends around you who may not have the same holiday cheer you are enjoying.

Often someone really very close by or near to you can be  having a difficult time.  We fail to hear the silent plea not because we don’t care, but because in our “busy” mode, we don’t hear the world around us, we are running on remote control.

PL Precept #7  Everything exists in Relativity

PL Principle # 4  I will live with the spirit of Misasage (Devotion) working for the happiness of others.

the fragrance of a flower in bloom

will  touch your senses

with a magical sensory tune

a sigh will escape your lips

as you dream of a place

under tropical skies and

lazy sun drenched afternoons

yet white against a sky of gray

can make for a very dull day

the white is still white

but we see it in a totally different way

think about it

how many times

have you looked at someone in a different way

only because

their background

coloured your way of seeing them

my sister painted me a hobbit house

sometimes, I think

yeah, this is where I want to stay

lost in a meadow of sheep

where I can while away the day

and at night, turn in for

a fitful sleep.

everyone needs a place to stay

when they need time

away

from a world that can in disarray
