carpet colours 6.7.18

Magic carpet.

Not really but the colours appealed to me.  I did however resist bringing it home. I have been busy for weeks now cleaning up, doing a major spring cleaning.  So much to be done, true I didn’t need to do it right away, but, type AAA that I am, once I know something has to be done.  I make it happen.  In a way, I got on my own carpet and worked “magic”..  I revved up the old broom and pulled into drive.

Day 9 PL Calendar – Your surroundings are a reflection of YOU.

I believe that to be true.  For over a year now, I have been unable to focus on my surroundings, it was no longer a “comfortable” ambiance.

Day 10  PL Calendar – Everyone has their own unique Personality

I have been told  “not to do anything major for the next while because, whether I realize it or not, I am going through a “phase of adjustment”  So…………..little by little I have been cleaning out…  removing “illness” “pain” and “discomfort”   Sweeping, cleaning, washing, and making changes, that enhance the “home”  ensuring that the “balance” and harmonizing of “energies” comes alive again, and grows with each passing day.  A home is where the “heart” is.  Always, forever and always.

The next few days will be busy, on Monday the 11th. at 10.am. we will have the Ancestors’ Day ceremony and special prayer and  memorial for Brian.  Where-ever you are, at 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time  if you are able to, join us in prayer.  What a positive VIBE it will be. =^_^=

Blessings dear friends… may the Universe shine down  loving rays to warm your days and sprinkle night dreams with enriched star dust.

what to do?

memory candle for Brian

What to do when your day starts with a “bang” (unpleasant one) and then more or less continues on in similar fashion.  During the 10 a.m service today, (Day of Peace) I found myself crying thinking of what happened early before I got to the church.

The dog got his tail chopped off by a closing door.  My precious baby.. yelped,  then I saw the piece of tail on the floor and the trail of blood as he escaped into the house.  Such misery, such helplessness.. I could only react. Meanwhile his sister who is white, was now looking like a red dalmatian and blood was everywhere, on me and on the carpets. Didn’t matter all I wanted to do was pick him up and hold him to me… of course that did wonders for my outfit.  When I finally got to church, I realized that I still had blood on me, and my clothes.  What a sight.

Fortunately the vet made a house call.  I was so relieved.  We are all resting comfortably,  the human will be taking to her bed very early. Oh dear, just remembered have to check on the laundry.  Used cold water. back.. looks like all the stains came out. ahh sigh.

PL Calendar, day 2    Be Forever young and seek new challenges

The world is constantly in motion and never rests.  Keep your senses sharp and be ready to adapt to the ever-changing world.

During all of today’s “activities”, I picked up the memory candle from the Funeral home, isn’t it pretty, there is a small compartment that is sealed under it.  During the service, the candle is lit.  I had never seen these before.  I am comforted that it is home with me now.

Life is what it is.  I need to slow down, and let my journey set the pace for peaceful healing.

May 11.

The 11th of every month, in PL, we celebrate and give thanks to our ancestors, parents and those who supported us throughout our lives.

When the road ahead looks dark, we have to believe and have faith, that if it is the road ahead of us, and one we are meant to take, that it will be welcoming.

There is always light.  God is always with us.

what was, now is

Sometimes we open a door, and we are hit with an unexpected view.  One we had no control over, but we’re now faced with the “What the ?!?!?!”

The camera of course was the first thought, take pictures, details, catch it before it is touched or anyone comes.   Then talk to the workers, who are pretending not to be aware of your actions.

Keep calm, ask for an explanation.  PL Precept #4 Being annoyed limits your expression.

Listen with intent.  Pay careful attention to what is said.  Appreciate, and remember to say Thank YOU.

Then return to your office, make notes, and then  # 1. call the city,   #2 call the owner of the property who the workers are working with.  Being polite, and asking for answers and suggestions to the problem will usually inspire others to be helpful.

PL Precept #5  One’s self is lost by being emotional

Sincerity, faith and trust … are important ingredients to a life that is “balanced”

I’m not saying it is always easy, but they become part of your daily responses to opportunities when they are practiced on a regular basis.

Blessings of the day to each and everyone of you.  May much happiness shine on you day from morning to night.

Bom Dia,  A happy greeting to you..

Today, while picking up a newspaper for my husband, I spied this colourful book. Bring Back the Bees by Paulette Bourgeois and Josee Bisaillon.  It was so eye catching that I asked to see it. Hello, it is a give away at Chapters Indigo.  It is Produced by Kids Can Press, and sponsored by Honey Nut Cheerios.

It has beautiful illustrations, rendered in watercolour, collage and digital

I am very interested in saving the bee population, and believe that more awareness is needed … therefore I am sharing this information with you.for more info. bringbackthe bees.ca

Day 20  PL Calendar

You are YOU, Others are Others

You have your own way of doing things, and others have their way of doing things.  Don’t worry about what other people will say.  Simply take care of the task at hand.

And that is the reality.  That is just the way  it is.  Our experiences, our past shapes our future….  Make each moment count.  Live each day with new “eyes” … be open to new experiences, choices, we all have them…

Tomorrow is the 21st  For members of Perfect Liberty, we celebrate with a Thanksgiving Service.  We give thanks and show our appreciation for the blessings of the past month, while sincerely renewing our determination to follow and practice the Precepts and Principles of PL.

first rose of season

Good Morning everyone!

Timing.. Today’s calendar is about Timing

PL Calendar day 19

The Moment you notice is the best timing

Procrastinating will only weigh you down.  The best tie to do something is when you notice it.

For any hockey fans… my Penguins won last night   5  –  0  When it comes to timing this team “rocks”

PL Calendar day 17

Be Calm, Be Kind without compromising

Hesitating to share our true feelings hurts not only ourselves but others.  While respecting the other person’s feelings say what you need to say.

Life is what we make of it.  Life is full of challenges and opportunities.  Seize the day, make every second count.

Thank you to each and every one of you who has taken the time to write and ask me how my husband is doing.  There is nothing more that can be done to “stall” or “stop” the cancer.. it is doing what it has set its mind to do.

My husband we hope will come home this week for palliative care with a team of health care workers who come to the home, including a palliative care physician. Should it get to be too much to handle in the home environment, we will move on to the next step .

Blessings to each and every one of you.  Your caring, your support, is so appreciated. We hold you near and dear, each ray of energy you send our way is caught up and embraced with love.  We return the love to you a hundred fold. OYASHIKIRI

being attentive

april 14Pl Calendar day 15

Being Attentive Makes life more enjoyable

Live life paying careful attention to every detail, be it big or small.  By doing so, you will be able to experience the subtle joy in things.

My studio mate.  She patiently sits waiting to observe, or comment on the goings on in the studio.  Lately she is watching me try my  hand at acrylic “pouring”.. I am working on being attentive, trying to learn a new technique.  Still not sure how I feel about it, but that is what life is, trying something new, if it clicks with me, I’ll pursue it, if not.. I’ll move on.  I  am practicing the art of “letting go”

How about you, tried anything new recently? Are you engaged, attentive in your day-to-day activities…..   …….. Here is wishing you a wonderful Sunday.
