Lego reality

Meet the Lego Harry Potter Fantastic Beasts Mini figures, this set can be purchased retail. In it you get the complete set of 22 Factory sealed character pieces. If you decide not to invest in the whole set, and try your luck at purchasing individually, then you have to take your chances and purchase a single pack, for 3.99 and hope you get the hero that you want. Otherwise you keep trying. I believe that the set in Canadian dollars is about 180$ give or take.

The figures are rather cute, the collector that I am thought, I want one. I liked the figure third from the left, front row. My first bag, I got Harry himself along with his owl, my second try I got #11 (yes they are numbered,) the character with the red hair and green uniform holding a tea cup. 2nd row, to the right of the other figure I would like, the one with the pointed ears.

My next bag I tore open to find that I got #6, he is standing behind the one I want, in the back row with the green plant. So far three tries, and each one is 3.99 with tax. Do you see where I am going with this. By the time I am done, trying to get the two or three that I want, I will likely end up paying for the cost of the full set. but then what do I do with the other figures?

They are darn cute, I see the attraction, my reality is, with arthritic fingers, and often diabetic numbness that visits these same fingers…. I ask myself if this is a collection that I really really want to start playing with. Of course the one option is that I find others who would want to trade. LOL.. somehow I think that the age group I usually “play” with, won’t have any interest in mini Lego figures.

Oh!!! I was smitten by the dragon and figures in Lego #75951 (Fantastic Beasts) why? One figure looks like a Chinese magistrate, and the other is a an older character who looks dignified with his white hair. Grindelwald’s Escape, it is 132 pieces, suggested for ages 7-14. Take the hyphen away and turn the numbers around, maybe…… the characters are Gellert Grindelwald, and the other is Seraphina Picquery I did get it, how long will it take for me to put 132 small pieces together. It is anyone’s guess. =^_^= will I try?

Greetings on Sunday

fright drucilla May the day shine brightly for you. Sunday and we are not having a service this morning, because of the service last evening. What does one do on a Sunday morning, when there is no service. I to Drucilla’s displeasure, decided to play with my paint and other supplies to start on a makeover for her. I have told her that this is therapeutic for both of us, but her silence tells me, …. it is all in my head.

Tomorrow begins another month. October. The leaves have started to change, when driving the back roads yesterday, I saw more sights of reds peaking through the evergreens. Actually not only the various shades of red, but the yellow orange hue were also taking over the fresh greens of the summer. The camera buffs who have been slumbering through the sweltering summer, will be polishing off their lenses to take full advantage of the fall display that will soon be in full bloom. I confess, I love, LOVE the autumn season, here in Canada where we get four different seasons, the fall months tantalize and delight me.

With that in mind I will be on the watch this morning, for “something” to catch my “eye” while I am out driving along the river, into rural Ontario. Some time, when you are inclined to do so, you must tell me how you mange to drive and “catch” that perfect moment, when there is other traffic on the road… =^_^=

If I could make this lesson, flash with neon lights, I would do so, I think the mice are back, or trying to come back in As you know, it took a long time to rid this house of the little “devils”…. So! mon ami, it looks like we will again, take on the capturing of mice.

I have spent my evenings with Poirot (Agatha Christie} audio books, so delightful!

Thursday doors

Bom dia a todos! Happy Thursday 27th.

I was very glad to hear that this farm and the house that I on the land has been given heritage standing, Developers cannot tear it down. This parcel of land, will be a loss of green space, but the buildings will stay.

This was all farm land. I may not speak about these changes, but I am aware of them. Progress will happen. I give special thanks here to the people in the community that fought as long a they have to slow the progress in order to preserve the buildings. It is important that future generations remember what was.

So many industrial parks have vacant, concrete lots, older buildings that new companies don’t want, and no one want to undertake reusing that space. Concrete wastelands. Sad, very sad. Meanwhile rich fertile soil gets sacrificed to yet another shopping centre or ……… ……..

This will be a happy productive day. Mild weather here. Sun is out. Let’s get out and seize the day.

Wednesday again

bom dia, este e um costume? no no, the dolls are coming home for the October festivities. Are they ready, they have been jabbering all night about their experiences and the stories they want to tell. The acts of kindness they have been able to participate in, now, with October just days away, they have made their way home to celebrate the month of the year, reserved for them.

They are aware that they are not like the rest, and stand out in a crowd. But each one is unique and has his/her own story … Here they are not judged by their “look” LOL or lack of, they simply can enjoy letting down their hair, not replacing an eye, wearing what they want, and and and, the list goes on. Who knows maybe one will have a story to tell that I can share with you. rubs hands with glee and gives a crackling chuckle.. “time will tell dearies”

Reasons

Bom dia..

Sim yes, my inspiration today is the bark of this tree. There is something about textures that appeals to me, I paint using textures, I create a lot of “art” dimensional, I have never analyzed why, I just like it. After a painting dries, I will close my eyes and gently run my fingers over the canvas to discover its hidden delights.

After years of trying to take in all of what I am seeing, I know that I can see a lot of things at one time, some details will stay with me, some won’t. So much like I did here, where I focused my lens on one area of the tree, I do that with life. I don’t ignore the rest of the picture, but when I see something that is of interest, then I delight in discovering what it is that is communicating with me.

If you are a photographer, you know we can walk by a landscape a zillion times, then one day, the lighting is just right, shades dance across our vista, and wow, we “see” an amazing sight. Just like walking out your back or front door, is different every time you walk into the “outside”. hmmm did she mean to say it that way.. yes I did =^_^=

Same day, same place, same time of day give or take, but a different tree. Each had its very own appeal to me. “that day” I suspect if I went back today, I couldn’t find them again. Thus the harping on… live each day to your fullest, today is today, and tomorrow will be a new beginning.

After going on about “observation” I will share with you an incident this morning. I washed my hair (I know exciting stuff) as I was towelling my hair I looked down and wondered what was sticking to my night “dress”. Hello I found the “bleeding” thing has a pocket. No, I didn’t know, and again no, it isn’t new. So you can see what I wear to sleep and around the house, does not get the attention I give to other areas in my life. Oh dear! I am human after all. sigh.

With that, I will wish you all good cheer, make the most of today, I am off to enjoy mine. Thanks for sharing this brief interlude with me.

Thursday Doors – 9.20

Charm of days gone by. There is so much to take in when you travel a back road. You have to know that you will not get anywhere fast, you simply accept the moments of discovery. This was the scene that beckoned loud enough for me to stop and actually get out. It is aged, tired and worn, but yet it is standing proud. Wind, snow, ice, rain, yes they have left their mark, but the place, for me , still had a quiet dignity. It stood, just off a paved road, but the surrounding land, was rich and bore the remnants of a bountiful crop.

I left today, open to the possibilities, and the Universe provided “seek and you shall find” PL Precept #1 Life is Art

The day was a happy one, and totally productive in a very creative way. I hope you enjoyed the same.

Good Sunday morning dear friends.

Day 15 – PL Calendar – Being attentive makes life more enjoyable.

Live life paying careful attention to every detail be it big or small. By doing so, you will be able to experience the subtle joy in things.

That said, I began the world with a visit to a long ago time, in a galaxy far far away. I now know what an ewok is. Cute little fellows, and very good warriors. The little story I read had them fighting biker scouts. Have to admit that I found that the biker scouts were interesting. Best of all I liked a character called Chewie. If you are a Star Wars fans you by now realize that this is a brand new world for me.

Golly Gee Mollie, where have I been =^_^= Goes to show we are never too old to learn about new galaxies, and the worlds that live in or on them.

I learned that there is a forest moon. How cool is that! The Ewok is small, furry and lives in the forest. Sigh every day is so exciting when you can learn about such amazing new characters ..there is such an incrediable amount of talent out there, I can’t wait to make new discoveries.

What about you, have you taken on anything new? Do you think about new ways to do things that you have being doing in a routine fashion? One of my upcoming challenges will be to do a character doll for the month of October, Doll Club meeting.

Challenge yourself, You have so much unused creativity, step outside your comfort zone, live life to the fullest. Can’t wait to read or hear about your adventures.

How are you

While out driving the other day. I reflected on that question myself. We are asked, at least I am, on a fairly regular basis. I was out driving the back roads, and needed to find my way, or get my bearings. After a while, the farm land was starting to all look the same. In other words I was getting weary, and needed a change. Searching the skies I saw a steeple off in the distance, in the countryside here, both in Quebec and Ontario, you can always count on a church steeple to guide you towards “civilization”

It was a peaceful day for me, and certainly the quiet appeal of the church sitting, basking in the sun, added to my “mood”. The manicured lawn and large paved entrance was a huge contrast to the visions I had been enjoying on the back roads. Another visual of the differences in life.

I am fine, thank you to all who have asked. Life IS different, my personal space has been reconfigured. To that end, all my past experiences, adventures, and lessons have served me well. Possibly the enormity of the change has not quiet fully dawned on me, but it is present. I feel it, and I do intellectually “know” it. So yes I am fine, but am I REALLY fine,I think it is too soon to tell. No one can predict the future. And, every day is NEW.

No two friendships are alike, therefore, how I am although influenced at times by my immediate circle of friends, changes, why, because at the core of it all is ME. And the secret I am sharing, is that Me, myself and I is constantly being kept busy with the help of the Universe, with reminders that I am never alone. Service yesterday at the church, where the ceremony of appreciation to our Ancestors and those who have helped us become who we are, was performed. For me was very calming and spiritually refreshing.

For that is a focused prayer of appreciation and thanks to all my family. friends, past and present who make me the person I am today. I like me, and I really and truly do appreciate each and every one of you, for you touch me in ways that transcend mortal definitions. Love is PEACE.

PL Day 12 Carry out what you believe in

Once you’ve prepared everything to the best of your ability seize any opportunity that comes your way, take action without hesitation. Express yourself to the fullest.

The world is not only full of colour, but provides us with an abundance of textures, variation on shades and so much more, Yes there is beauty in a flower, but the subtle shading of the vegetation that often is the back drop for a flower(s), is more lasting, and enduring. Changing with the season we can never be bored. We need to see beyond transient beauty. The icing though good, and often very pretty, would be nothing without the cake. It exists because of the cake.
