old and new

Product I’d ordered by Tim Holtz arrived, Tim’s Distress texture pack, Grave texture paste and crypt paste.. =^_^= can you tell its almost October.. I’ve begun my fall projects. Steampunk, grunge, here I come.. Not forgetting Thursday Doors, I got pictures of the doors at the new location. Plus some I got when I was in Westport.

two top doors are for Scrap en Masse, so you can locate the building the Scrap en Masse sign in in the front of the building, near the road,

So many of you have been trying to find the building, knowing what to look for will make it easier for you, it is the 3rd entrance on the right when you turn down the road into Plantagenet. Check their web pages, stay tuned on FB with them.

The other doors are from the trip to Westport. the top right door, the one that is peeling is on the building next to Scrap en Masse.. Isn’t it interesting.. wonder what is inside?

Be very careful about doing things you really like. Do everything in moderation. when you overdo, you’ll lose your balance.

winter in Winchester (Hounds of Freckashpeng)

The heat, the heat.. the heat…Aghhh. needed to cool down. Heat is one thing, in this area we have an abundance of humidity to go with it… The past few days it has been cloying.

I am reminded of how colourful and joyful the Blue Jays look when they fly in during winter for their share of the bounty at feeders.

With one thought, “the world” will change. Changing your way of thinking will make a difference on how you perceive the world.

its that time of year when change is in the air, soon we will find ourselves with new colours and a different landscape even tho’ we will be walking the same pathways.

Change is and can be exciting. As the petals fall, and the leaves prepare for a new season, the ground will prepare for the coming winter and the cold. The vegetation that gathered energy all summer, has fed its roots so that come the time to “sleep”.. they will be content to rest till it is time to begin another cycle.

yes I could have picked a patch that was still hearty and lush with summer blooms.. but that is not life, life is always recycling and changing, because we don’t see it, doesn’t mean that its not happening,

Let’s interact proactively with an ever-changing society. Society is always rapidly changing with the times. Keep your eyes and mind in tune with these changes and learn to deal with them proactively.

Before I go on and cover this up or add to it, I want to share with you what eye shadow from the dollar store and nail polish can do. (mixed media abstract)

We can travel or visit the same places, see the same things, i.e. areas of a physical space, but never is it ever the same as the last time we visited. Wait for it…. because nothing stays the same. =^_^= the only constant in life is change.

Today at Chapman Mills, the leaves have already begun to change, small changes, here and there, but change they are.

Face each moment, each place with a fresh outlook. I you handle a situation with preconceived notions or prejudices, your judgment will be clouded. Take on each situation with a blank slate, as if seeing it for the first time.

where am I, who am I, what am I doing here ?

Ever find yourself wondering … why you are walking down a certain street, at a certain time? Looking into a storefront window, find yourself contemplating what it all means?

So many stories can be woven when we stop to really look at where we are, and what we are seeing, The following is something I’ve copied for you, it was translated from Japanese, so please take that into consideration when you are reading it.. (the translator speaks little English)

I will think on this quote today, yesterday I had plenty of time to notice things as la belle Bon and I explored the little waterfront town we had driven to .. there was a lot that interested me, many places sent my imagination into over drive. adventure near water

With the water gently lapping against the ship, the moonlight dancing across your half naked body there is a lull in the passing of time. Nowhere to go, nowhere to be…, what reason is there for this moment, none… none at all.

Except with the daylight … comes reality The boat is still docked, the waves still nudge gently against her, we are not lying onboard, at least not in the state of undress

Thursday Doors

Sometimes in our quest for doors, we travel to different shores, and climb the highest of mountains, even take backroads just so we can find that “special door” In the small towns we find plenty of charming and inviting doors, truth be told we find them everywhere and in the strangest of places. the scene above is not a door in itself but when I saw it.. it took me into another realm / it peaked my imagination, it allowed me entrance to a very exciting and yet calm place.

The way Ian took the picture, see on the rock there is a dark area, that looks like it could be a hobbit door.. imagination, what a wonderful part of our Being.

Come on… stretch the imagination cells, can’t you see the hobbit door in that rock…. =^_^=…. the wee ones are everywhere you know!
