Listen to others until the end. If you put your thoughts first, you will not be able to listen to others until the end. Firstly, listen to others to the end and understand them well. (PL2023.4)

Drove to Montreal yesterday, this is the vista that greeted me along most of the highway along the 40 corridor. Especially as I got closer to the border. The cool snap we’ve been having is affecting the vegetation. Going to be a magnificent display over the next weeks or so. Time to go exploring!
Compromise and hesitation tend to make things more complicated. Compromising and holding back your true feelings only serve to make things even more complicated. Always be true to yourself. (PL2015.30)
Driving along the highway, a route that had been so familiar to me a few years back. I realized how long it had been since I had let the miles roll past me .. heading out of the city… on a day of exploration. Alone with my thoughts, I found that my mind wanted to be where it was content. It was actually a very nice feeling to realize that I was feeling happy and positive… true… I could still feel that I was wanting to “get somewhere” when really I had no where I needed to be. at least not right away.
We come from NO where, drive into NOW here…. only to head back to where we started, NO Where … It is all about spacing.
I used to drive and formulate or work out my “projects” practice my “talks” “presentations” alone in the car I can even sing off key. But yesterday was a day for silence and letting my thoughts wander to happy feelings where emotions and intimacies featured in the “interesting” reels that played out against the backdrop of the burgeoning fall colours. The outing reminded me.. slowing down, is important,, there is no need to always “have” to “get things done” at top speed.

I attended a podcast by a Rabbi yesterday… when we step outside our comfort zones, we can discover and learn a lot about a subject we think we already “know about”.
I also learned that one needs to clean the straw being used to drink ice coffee… yuck accumulates .. ugh. I did /do have special brushes to do so.. I just wasn’t doing it!!!
Stop Hesitating
It is more natural for you to be direct and say what is on your mind. Holding back or hesitating is unnecessary (PL2017.27)
The other day on my drive home I saw more than one tree starting to already display fall colours. A sign of what is to come. Fall in this part of Canada is a cornucopia of colour, weather turns a brisk fresh air, with early morning snaps of very cool air that warms to a balmy energizing sun filled day leading into enjoyable star filled nights. Each day is a work of art.

No two doors are the same, no two people are the same, YET
Discover something new today. Have a willingness and an interest, and start your day with excitement, (PL2023.22)
Everyday, we walk by doors and never see them. How many times have you walked by someone and not even been aware you’d done so… or … you see people all around you YET…. you cannot recognize or identify anyone you just passed. We have become so used to having “busy” around us, that we “tune out” and often are so wrapped up in our own thoughts.. we miss “the” moment.
The picture bottom left, When I first saw it, I was captured by the closed door and the open entrance right beside it. on closer inspection, I saw that they had different house numbers. Right away, I thought, “which entrance would I want to explore?” Do you have a preference?
I have learned over the years… to never judge a book by its cover.… what doorway would inspire a story from you today?

Value your intuition – Change your mind thinking “it will be alright” Do the best you can without being overly attached. (PL2021/20)
Temperatures have dipped here the last few days, a touch of days to come. The animals react to the change, their chatter is more insistent, the chipmunks have renewed their determination to gather all the goodies they can find. They don’t come out in the dead of winter, but the squirrels who stay active most of the time, are just as active. The floor of the area where I feed is alive with their movements .. I have to be careful, they are focused.
Even the Blue Jays are being demanding, not waiting, but dive bombing the minute the peanuts hit the ground.
What are your plans for today? Whatever you do… do so with the intent of enjoying every moment of your day!

a moment in time
does it matter if we are going forward, or if it is where we’ve been
what matters is we are here now
The joy of expression is in the process. Of course results are important but let’s not lose sight of the true joy that be found in the actual process. Face very task/moment with wholehearted enthusiasm. (PL2012.2)

In the darkness of night – when only the moon shone bright
two souls were entwined in a moment divine
the night was ablaze with twinkling stars
eternity was born
I was “home”
