Anyone coming to my house can expect soft food. I finally had my appointment with the oral surgeon who did his “thing” on me back in April. Today he opened up the healed wound to insert screws… At long last I’m a step closer to the final steps. No candy or hard food for the next while, he’s put me back on a “soft” diet.. Pumpkin pie is soft, right!!! ice cream and whipped cream…
Do things joyfully instead of taking it easy. Enthusiastically engage with what’s in front of you. You’ll enjoy it more.
When the midnight hour strikes, the ghosts and goblins come out to play. There are always those who just don’t fit in, the ghouls and their pranks, the vampires and their weird sense of humour. Like, being bitten is fun!.

I did meet a dog who seemed friendly at first, but when I drew closer, he bared his teeth and snapped… I got the message and moved on.
I thought to have more luck with this fellow, but he just wasn’t interested in anything but his bottle. We do our best, it is really all we can do.
Be careful about saying “its probably good enough”” Wholeheartedly do what you notice, when and how you notice it.

OK virtual worlds are not for everyone, but.. let me tell you, laid up, not able to get out and get around by myself right now.. being able to visit the fun creativity of Halloween themed parks is super Fun. Not only do we have fun, get to meet new friends, we can explore and listen to great music, both live and hosted by DJ’s who have extensive knowledge of the music genre you like.
I know that every year the decorating and hauntings are becoming more and more festive, in and out of virtual. What will be doing, have you got plans… will you dress up, is your home/office/school decorated. For me I’ve already started with the pumpkin pie, turkey, dressings and all the fixings that go with the cooler season and the holidays associated with it.
Be very careful about doing things you really like. Do everything in moderation. When you overdo, you’ll lose your balance
Because (update) I had a bit of a set back yesterday, I will be off my leg for another while. I was thrilled when I saw Num had posted the above pictures, this is where I want to be.. I so much want to be back wandering the woodlands..Sooooo I am being good, and practicing patience as best I can to ensure the leg heals. My new camera is heavy, and the terrain I like to wander is on the rugged side.. current mantra is patience girl, patience.

My friend Shirley in NZ visited the most wonderful attraction in Denniston of an old coal mine. I’m going to share some of her pictures here for you to enjoy.
Where ever you are in the world, this is a wonderful time of the year, the cooler air is exciting, it brings with it the winds of change, and therefore we have new discoveries to explore. Through the adventures of my friends who like myself like to wander and explore, through my blog I try to share with you the awesome world we live in. In Shirley’s pictures I could envision how the coalfields must have looked back when it was operational, the hive of activity, the human energy it required to function.
We (as a people) have come such a long way, the history of our past, the trials, the hardships, the joys and the new discoveries are all part of what we have to thank for, where we are today.
With the new season soon to be with us, let’s strive to be better at being open to new ideas, new possibilities, and remember to give thanks for where we have been, and the people/ancestors who paved the way for us.
With one thought “the World” will change, it begins with US.
Are we ever ready for the changing seasons… Do we ever get all we want to get done in time for the change in the weather and the changes in our lives that we know will happen…. Animals live in the moment, they accept what is happening and deal with it. They have no choice but to interact with the moment when it happens. We on the other hand, have too much going on in our gray matter, we think too much. Or in some cases, we don’t think at all, we miss “it” all together.
Multitasking reduces your joy by half. When doing something give it your all. There is joy in everything.
Cranberries and meat pie. Cranberries and chicken pot pie. Cranberries and roast turkey with dressing. No those are not cranberries… they are the cherries from my cherry tree this past summer. I simply have not been able to find all my pictures of cranberries.. but.. the season is coming when I want to taste cranberries.
Free yourself from being overly attached. Overthinking hinders ideas and actions.

I doubt I will curb my enthusiasm for cranberries right now.. but I did stop looking through old files for the pictures of my trip to the cranberry fields.
In the cold gray of the morning light, I got myself ready to find the elusive wild turkeys… Nope, not a one did I see, but I did get some good shots in before the pending rain would start. I used the time to try different settings on this new camera of mine, and to get used to holding it, its big and I have small hands. I like “doing” .. used to enjoy getting up everyday to go to work too. Yup I’m “one of those” It is not “work” when you love what you do ..
What is “normal” is different for each individual. Everyone has a different way of thinking and doing. It’s important to understand others’ feelings.
When its time to eat, the clan/family gathers. There is a time of gathering, each makes his/her way to the “table”. We were not part of the dinner party, but we did get to watch as they arrived. I had stopped the car, there was such a feeling of quiet and tranquility, no city sounds, just the calling of the birds, a dog barking his/her welcome, and the ambience of the day. A perfect day in the country.
Every time we take a “day vacation” it energizes and helps put perspective on the current “state of affairs”
Have a “let’s do it” attitude. Even if a task is difficult, keep in mind it is given by God and accomplish it.

Keep your balance. A life that ignores balance will eventually lead to a deadlock. whatever you do, look at people, the environment, the state of the economy, the trend of the times , and try to express yourself properly after balancing yourself with them.

In PL we learn that it is through living with appreciation for all the blessings we receive in life, positive & or challenging… we will continue to be blessed… the practice of prayer on a daily basis helps us maintain a balance in our lives.
fyi. for all of you who commented on the upside cars in last Thursday’s blog, it was an art installation that is held each year in Quebec City… the 3 cars were put there by artists who filled them with earth and made gardens for the viewers to enjoy. It was one of many displays along selected streets in part of the city.
May your day/week be filled with much happiness and positive productive moments.
The rain comes to wash away the dust, dirt and grime of the past weeks. We mortals that we are, also have a way of clearing away the “mental” debris we accumulate over the days and nights we cohabit on this planet. We pray! Whether prayer is silent, or voiced, we offer our thanks and express our gratitude for everything in our lives, whether they have been happy or challenging.
In PL, we offer our gratitude and prayer monthly with a ceremony at the church, however, I try to start and end each day with a prayer of gratitude, I offer my thanks for a good night of sleep and my thanks for presenting me with a brand new day. In the fall, there is a stir of excitement in the air when the weather starts to change, we visually see the beginning of a new season. Orange’s and bright yellows begin to appear with dashes of crimson here and there, till almost all the greens disappear and only the fall pallet is before us. Then we are blessed with a cornucopia of golds, burnt umber, rusts and the evergreens that remain show off the many variances of their colour range.
The foundation of our faith, PL Precept # 1 Life is art…. “as a living person, you interact with the people and things around you in order to express your feelings. Your life is shaped by the way you express yourself each and every day. Through your daily artistic expressions, you can create your one and only life.” It is easy to get so caught up in the chaotic energy of the world around us, that is why it is so important to remember to pray and give thanks each day for the blessing of life itself.
Our lives are our very own unique work of art. If you cut corners or miss important details, you will not be able to live up to your fullest potential. PL Precept #2 To live is to expressOne’s Self!!
