Good morning, bom dia, at the start of another beautiful day. 8 in my world is considered a lucky number. I just happened to have my camera ready when Nick had his back turned. Nick is one of a pair. Mel his beautiful and talented wife was, we soon discovered, watching us from other part of the museum where she was stuck behind a short wall. It was my good fortune that the two decided to take a day trip up to visit. Heck they only live some 11, 12 hours away. Let me tell you they are very special.

I got to see a lot of interesting exhibits as we wandered the museum, but the greatest gift for me was to share time with friends that I have grown to love. They bring such caring and open sharing when they are visiting. Every visit is like a homecoming. The laughter is genuine, such friendships are treasured.

Possessions can be acquired, They can be enjoyed and cared for, but having good friends, and time spent in warm, comforting camaraderie. That is a blessing. It was a wonderful visit, I thank them both.

PL calendar day 7 Don’t strain, don’t rush, and don’t be greedy

When you are doing something, you may rush things to get good results quickly. Instead, relax and enjoy he process.

I can only imagine how as the friendship grows, we will appreciate even more our differences, and our sameness.

One of life’s lessons, to be practiced and lived – appreciate differences, everyone is unique, share with an open heart.

two of me? or is there more

Sometimes I am good, and other times, well… I want to play. The picture on the right is of me where I accepted the challenge of wearing a bikini. I was nervous being half-dressed like that, and couldn’t stand still. So the picture is a bit fuzzy, but then that’s ok, cuz you can’t see all my fat and bumps.

These were outfits I made to sell in my little shop. The avatar is a Dinky made by a very talented artist in Second Life (Etheria Parrott) She has variety of dinky avatars to pick from, I happen to be a sealpoint and sometimes a lilac point Siamese.

The creative side of me can spend hours exploring the artist creations of others on the grid, and when not exploring, digital photography.

Q (that is me) can spend hours touring, taking in the sights and sounds, visiting different countries .. and never leave the comfort of my home office. I like being Q, she is fearless, she can do almost anything, she loves exploring and meeting people, and learning about the world around her. I on the other hand, can be a bit of a recluse.

Awen 2008 This is my friend Awen who introduced me to designing and building in/on a virtual platform. It was a whole new world, and I was open to the challenge.

Life is unpredictable, our creativity, how we pereive the world around us, and how we want to express our individuality, is all part of a whole. We are blessed by being given a new canvas every day.

Seize the day, make art!

Thursday Doors

Happy Thursday everyone.. Bom dia.

Some doorways have a very open and spacious entrance. Others are more “this is what you get” and the tenants do their best to make it welcoming.

Then you leave the town and head out into the open country, the sights and sounds are very different. Yet always there are doors.

I got a tad turned around in my outing yesterday, found myself south when I should have been heading east. Ah who cared, I was out exploring and best of all, the sights of the fall colours was awesome. Meet my new friends…

He was a brilliant conversationalist, (both males) the blonde was less talkative. Sigh pleasures come from the most unexpected places. =^_^=

Remember, we are all responsible for the choices we make in life. Take time today to swing your happy into high gear. Happiness is a powerful positive energy.

PL Calendar day 25…. If you skimp on the paint, your painting will not turn out well. Live a fulfilled life every day by utilizing things, money, your knowledge or energy to their fullest.

Stay awhile, simply stand, sit, wait, till the sounds around you, are the only thoughts you hear. Feel the breeze, take in the smells, you will feel you body start to relax.

yoda 3 Good morning, bom dia, a quick doodle, or sketch this morning, of a little character that has caught my fancy. You may or may not recognize Yoda, he was brave and intelligent, I like those characteristics. Above all I appreciate creativity and how when it is used for good, can do so much of a positive nature to the world around us.

Lately I have had to turn my attention away from watching media that (in my view) is negative and confrontational. We seem to no longer promote or share stories of goodwill, and /or positive interactions between the people who live on this planet. We seem to see only politics, religions (all man-made) and use them to batter the people who make up our communities. Our neighbours, friends, family, coworkers, why is it always, we against they/them, even within small units of people.

Watch the shift that will come, as the holiday season approaches, and the marketing goes into full gear. Then goodwill towards all will be played in the malls, over the media. glittering and shiny new toys and household gadgets will appear, Spend spend spend, then you will be happy…..right, till the bills come in

Yoda where are you, we need you now.. where are you with your clone troopers, come out of the fiction, we need you here and now. Evil isn’t in the skies and outer worlds, it is here, living amongst us now,

oh dear, oh dear, I am having a rant. quick my coffee, get me to a store so I can shop, change my focus…… unfortunately that is a temporary distraction. I still believe we need a Yoda. What do you think?

PL Principle #2 I will not have complaints about others,matters,nor the weather. Rather I will always be creativce and will look for shortcomings in my own thinking and actions.

Obviously this will be my mantra for today. Blessings all, huge hugs.

Lego reality

lego harry potter fanastic beasts

Meet the Lego Harry Potter Fantastic Beasts Mini figures, this set can be purchased retail. In it you get the complete set of 22 Factory sealed character pieces. If you decide not to invest in the whole set, and try your luck at purchasing individually, then you have to take your chances and purchase a single pack, for 3.99 and hope you get the hero that you want. Otherwise you keep trying. I believe that the set in Canadian dollars is about 180$ give or take.

The figures are rather cute, the collector that I am thought, I want one. I liked the figure third from the left, front row. My first bag, I got Harry himself along with his owl, my second try I got #11 (yes they are numbered,) the character with the red hair and green uniform holding a tea cup. 2nd row, to the right of the other figure I would like, the one with the pointed ears.

My next bag I tore open to find that I got #6, he is standing behind the one I want, in the back row with the green plant. So far three tries, and each one is 3.99 with tax. Do you see where I am going with this. By the time I am done, trying to get the two or three that I want, I will likely end up paying for the cost of the full set. but then what do I do with the other figures?

They are darn cute, I see the attraction, my reality is, with arthritic fingers, and often diabetic numbness that visits these same fingers…. I ask myself if this is a collection that I really really want to start playing with. Of course the one option is that I find others who would want to trade. LOL.. somehow I think that the age group I usually “play” with, won’t have any interest in mini Lego figures.

Oh!!! I was smitten by the dragon and figures in Lego #75951 (Fantastic Beasts) why? One figure looks like a Chinese magistrate, and the other is a an older character who looks dignified with his white hair. Grindelwald’s Escape, it is 132 pieces, suggested for ages 7-14. Take the hyphen away and turn the numbers around, maybe…… the characters are Gellert Grindelwald, and the other is Seraphina Picquery I did get it, how long will it take for me to put 132 small pieces together. It is anyone’s guess. =^_^= will I try?

pomegranate paint October has arrived… Outubro 1… Bom dia

Yesterday I went in search of a colour of paint that would mix well with what I had to enhance the suggestion of blood. Dried blood. Luckily where I shop there is always someone to help and with my cohort Little Piglet, we spent a happy hour browsing and shopping. I know it is not often someone comes in looking for blood, but Isabelle, at Scrap En Mass (Alfred, Ontario) was up to the task. When you shop with a goal in mind, you are more easily able to describe what you want.

The ambience of the place is also a factor, the display of merchandise, the overall sense of creativity and fun that is generated by other customers. The time spent searching out, then playing with the items later, is always an interlude, that passes quickly, it is refreshing.

Thursday doors

Bom dia a todos! Happy Thursday 27th.

I was very glad to hear that this farm and the house that I on the land has been given heritage standing, Developers cannot tear it down. This parcel of land, will be a loss of green space, but the buildings will stay.

This was all farm land. I may not speak about these changes, but I am aware of them. Progress will happen. I give special thanks here to the people in the community that fought as long a they have to slow the progress in order to preserve the buildings. It is important that future generations remember what was.

So many industrial parks have vacant, concrete lots, older buildings that new companies don’t want, and no one want to undertake reusing that space. Concrete wastelands. Sad, very sad. Meanwhile rich fertile soil gets sacrificed to yet another shopping centre or ……… ……..

This will be a happy productive day. Mild weather here. Sun is out. Let’s get out and seize the day.

Wednesday again

bom dia, este e um costume? no no, the dolls are coming home for the October festivities. Are they ready, they have been jabbering all night about their experiences and the stories they want to tell. The acts of kindness they have been able to participate in, now, with October just days away, they have made their way home to celebrate the month of the year, reserved for them.

They are aware that they are not like the rest, and stand out in a crowd. But each one is unique and has his/her own story … Here they are not judged by their “look” LOL or lack of, they simply can enjoy letting down their hair, not replacing an eye, wearing what they want, and and and, the list goes on. Who knows maybe one will have a story to tell that I can share with you. rubs hands with glee and gives a crackling chuckle.. “time will tell dearies”
