tick one more item off my bucket list. meet my forever dragon.
I have been a lifetime living with a mystical dragon who roamed the galaxy .. coming home from time to time to tell of his adventures or to lend support. Yesterday the wonderful tat artist from Brisbane, Australia was back in Ottawa (Samantha Read).. I was one of the fortunate ones able to book with her for this visit. Thank you Sam, I have waited a long time for my dragon to appear. You can see Sam’s work on Instagram,https://www.instagram.com/samreadtattoos/ she travels the globe, who knows you may be lucky and she will be headed your way at some time. Tats are not for everyone, you remember when I got my bee those many years ago. It was a big step for me… but I took it… and with that first step, came many “adventures”. I stepped out of my comfort zone, and found a whole new world of possibilities.

Make today a different day.
Instead of doing the same old thing be creative and do things to improve your day.

A charity rally yesterday, bikers ready for the start of the tour. It began in Plantagenet Ontario, and was going to end with a spaghetti dinner in Alfred later in the day. The weather was awesome for the ride, good showing, and hopefully a successful event for the fund raisers.
A cheerful smile and expression makes everyone around you happy.
When you do everything with a smile, not only you but the people around you will feel good. Always remember to put on a happy face. (PL2014.15)
There is a sense of freedom when you ride a bike that I’ve been unable to replicate over the years. I’ve toured before, years ago now, but the feelings that I acquired from the rides has never gone away, I still smile when I see another rider on a touring bike go by. Noted yesterday although there were a lot of couples who rode together on the same bike. Many of the ladies had their own ride. THAT was a pleasure all on its own. I was given riding lessons MANY years ago for my birthday… but I was never brave enough to follow through. I liked being a passenger. =^_^= Spent many happy hours on a Honda Gold Wing.. and a Tiger (Triumph)
Cheers everyone.. make today a day of SMILES…

Many of the riders were from the Hawkesbury Harley Davidson club… sorry there were too many bikers to get a full picture of all participants and the various clubs that participated. If anyone knows or has information, please let me know. There were all makes and models of bikes there.
Good morning… the cooler weather in the mornings is refreshing. the quiet on the bog is deceiving, the other day I thought I was alone, there were no cars in the parking areas as I drove by. Out of my car, I didn’t even see the doves.. the blue jays came when the peanuts were served, otherwise, it seemed usually quiet. I looked up into the trees to see if there was a bird of prey in the area.. but .no.. it was just quiet. I knew the turkeys were down by the farm, I saw them when I drove past.. they would be headed up my way, they had started to chase after my car… so I knew they would arrive.. but… I still found it unusually quiet…
As I walked away from the feeding area.. towards the boardwalk and the water, I could sense I was being watched…It was such a surprise.. cuz I knew .. just knew… there was a pair of eyes, watching me. As I strolled past the first path leading off to the right, I heard a rustle of leaves… I turned slowly towards the sound and saw that there was movement away from me, the lower branches on the bushes were still slightly swaying.. Was it the groundhog, no he knows me and would have come to the feeder area. Then I remembered the mother racoon and her wee ones, they had been around the other day… but no.. she would have just gone up to nosh on the fresh offerings in the dining area.
Slowly I turned back towards the water, and moved on… one of the pleasures of having the woodlands to myself, is that I may not actually see the other visitors to the area I’m wandering in.. but I know they are there. and… eventually the visitor will make itself known if it stays around… I’m there every day, 365 days of the year… I am learning from the animals.. not to rush, to take my time… to always listen and be aware of my surroundings. IF not now, maybe another time, when it is “right” it will happen,
