The everyday things you do will show when it really counts

If you have a tendency to be careless about everyday matters, you cannot expect to perform well at crucial times.

How many times have you walked into a room only to discover, you don’t recall why you decided to get up and go into that room? You knew with certainty you were on a mission. Then when you get into the room, you look at your computer, the clutter on the desk, and can’t for the life of you, remember what you got up for, I admit it has happened to me a few times, but nothing so serious that I worried about it. If its important, you’ll remember, words of wisdom … there is enough going on in the world today that we should think about… I think someone wrote a book, “don’t sweat the small stuff”.. — so how are you today? Survive the festive meals, family get togethers? Yesterday came and went in a blur. Today is another day, a new beginning..

PL Precept # 1 Life is Art.

Let’s interact proactively with an ever-changing society.

Society is always rapidly changing with the times. Keep our eyes and mind in tune with these changes and learn to deal with them proactively.

decorations

I kid you not… these decorated wonders are all under one roof. AND I did not post all the pictures. Their displays take my breath away. This is in a home with dogs… many dogs…. yet, except for the odd ornament that a whippet/borzi wants to rearrange…. their decor stays pretty much as is till after the new year. This is a house of Joy and Wonder. thank you Steve and Paul for the tour of your beautiful displays.

Time for parties, dancing, good music, everyone dressing up, strutting their holiday costumes, it was nice to see everyone sharing in a couple of hours of Holiday music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ag8tA_ycIrQ

Be thankful at the beginning and end of each day.

Each and everyone of your actions can inspire peace within your family your community and the world around you. This peace will eventually help lead to world peace.

Not everyone celebrates the same way, be aware of differences, share your smile, offer kindness with Makoto (sincerity).. Celebrate the season.

If you see Quinkat in the video that is someone you know (one of the photographers for the event) wink.

now

People gather, party, dance, share moments of simply enjoying music and friendships.. This is the time of year people are out and about more than they usually are… make sure to enjoy the season, share your smile. It is also the time of quiet reflection. Whatever you decide, it is your decision.

“Is there anything I can help with?”

Enjoy a feeling of happiness to contribute to those around you. It will give you confidence that you have something you can do for others,

Expecting too much leads to dissatisfaction

When you expect things to go exactly as you’ve planned, it limits your creative expression. Always be mindful of others and remember that they have their own way of thinking and doing things, too.

snow

There is something comforting about looking out at a snow scene of undisturbed fallen snow against a hedge that is splattered with beautiful miniature snow sculptures.

To prepare for the cold and snow of today, yesterday the birds were busy storing up all the energy they could gather. Chickadees were gathered in numbers I’d not seen before… The “cafe” was a flurry of wings and chattering.. blue jays dive bombed the shelled peanuts, the squirrels had to really dodge the streaks of blue and eager beaks. Even the nuthatch came in numbers, not just one at a time… they went through four servings of butter bark in minutes.. It was a like a cafeteria line. Guests (human) were thrilled at the sight and smiling broadly when a chickadee would swing low and brush a glove or shoulder.

Nature is healing.
