I didn’t want to hear, but what could I do, if I moved away too quickly they would know they were not alone. Sound carries when you are walking along a trail, especially if it is a boardwalk, or a trail that winds and turns. The couple were not happy with each other, and both were trying to get their point across. Unfortunately, at the same time. Neither was listening to the other.

Sometimes in life we find ourselves alone.. a lot to think about and no one to dialogue with. Pets are great listeners, but.. don’t offer much in the line of feedback. If you care enough to argue with each other, then would it not be important to actually listen to what the other is saying. For those of us who have lost a partner .. because life was no longer an option for them …the finality of that separation is something that never goes away, You can’t take words back that were said in anger, or frustration.

Respect the existence of each other The world consists of people with different circumstances and different lifestyles Respect and understand each other.

somewhere

somewhere,

somehow, I got there

hidden just beyond where I stood

I heard the sound of water

.. .. I looked beyond the trees

and there it was…

I had arrived..

sight ..sound … light …

Collide..

I am here

now

Yesterday you saw some of the buildings that caught my eye on the way to Ompah. Here you are seeing some of land I hiked along. To get to the water, I had to go down a steep ravine to a level area .. where I was looking down at the water… it was so inviting that when I came to a wooden set of steps, I ventured down to the water’s edge.

Lesson I learned… If you go down, you have to come back up! Focused on getting pictures, I had not taken into account to get to where I was I had walked down a steep incline, I found the steps while I was walking the grounds searching for another path leading back up to the area where my friend waited in the car. !!

Look at the rocks, the beautiful old fence, weathered and worn but still standing Yes I likely overdid, I didn’t have my walking sticks with me and because the area hosted art shows in the summer weather, the land was cleared of fallen branches and the like. BUT it was gorgeous .. life was good, life was vibrant, the air clear, getting colder yes (we were heading for an evening of snow and dropping temperatures) I WAS HAPPY, JOYFUL AND FULL OF LOVE… fresh air, the silence of open country (no city sounds) Yes, my body had a lot to say about the walking/hiking and the constant in and out of the car… BUT it was worth it. I think we have all had such experiences. If we are going to be here (on earth) we should appreciate and enjoy as much as we can. Peace on earth, begins at home and in our hearts.

Enjoy what happens. People who can enjoy anything happening to them receive wisdom for the next step. Try to work on things without being overly concerned.

Ancestors’ Day Ceremony/service at 10:a.m. Nov 11. Saturday.

Thursday

I had good intentions. I wanted to visit Ompah, I visited Ompah.. the first picture you see upper left is the parking area, of the common community park setting in Ompah. The drive to Ompah is spectacular rugged and in places breathtaking with its outcrop of rocks and deciduous trees ..

My frustration this morning is that many of the pictures I took for some reason didn’t transfer to my PC, which means, for now. these are the captures you will see. The small towns all had such interesting old buildings/structures and of course churches. The day started out with clear blue skies, but as the day progressed the sky got cold, and you felt the chill creeping in to your bones. (we had snow overnight)

Just outside Sharbot Lake on the main hwy going through, is this food stand, we think it was called Frenchies. Dynamite fries, cut there .. red potatoes… it was worth the wait.. the hamburger was good too, fresh meat patty, on a decent bun. If you can say road stand food is delicious, this meal was super delicious. I ate all of mine to the last crumb. and the fries.. I didn’t need vinegar or salt, they were so good just the way they were served.

Today’s calendar..

Have a great day everyone!

Saying thank you

Thank you… again and again… It feels great if someone tells you,, “thank you” even many times. By repeating this , become a person who comes up with the word “thank you” naturally.

Tell yourself “things happen” Even if something is inconvenient once you accept it you’ll be able to move onto the next step.

Sax

Yesterday was National Sax Day in the USA, It was interesting to hear a song I knew always played by a tenor sax, being played with an alto.. same musician was delivering the song, different date. Each instrument lent a different “story” to the music. I found myself hearing and feeling totally different reactions to the piece. I contemplated on this later… how one person can interpret a song one way with one instrument and yet have it be almost a totally different experience when that same song is delivered with a different instrument .. and at a different time/place.

Like watching a fire burn … beautiful in all its stages, same fire, but always different. hmffpph .. LIFE IS.

memories

The mind gathers up and stores the many moments we live. Some are easily found .. and others elude us for years till something happens that recalls or brings back that moment in time .. Other moments are dropped into a memory pocket with others, and all we get later is a vague glimpse into… a moment lived/shared.

Make happiness with willingness. People who like to make an effort can enjoy anything. Those who spare no effort for anything and anyone know the joy of making art. Make an effort with willingness.

contemplate

It’s easier to adapt to something when we find it interesting. No matter how enjoyable a situation is, a slight change in our attitude can make it boring. let’s face any situation with curiosity and enthusiasm.
