evergreen

Good relationships begin by greeting each other. Acts of respect and courtesy are reflections of how much we value others. Make it a point to be the first to greet your family, people t work and around the neighborhood.

cold angry wind

needle felting project started

Yup, the cooler weather has arrived. This morning I was greeted with an angry burst of wind, it was not a gentle good morning, but an aggressive, swirling slap as I opened the door to let the dogs out. There was not doubt that it was wanting to be noticed and heard as it tore across the back yard and through the evergreens out back of the neighbours.

I smiled with a deep satisfaction that yesterday I had found a nice pair of high boots with warm lining for the days ahead. Good morning I called out smiling. “I’m ready for you!” I’ve been slowly brining out my warm vests, and jackets, they’ve been cleaned and ready for the coming months. When we are prepared and ready for expected weather changes, it is so much more fun.

Like the little squirrels and chipmunks that live in the area, I have been busy stocking my larder too. There is a nice feeling of “self satisfaction” knowing that should I want to.. I can just enjoy the comforts of my home, certainly now at my age, and stage in life (semi retired) I can function at a different pace. As you can see I’ve been pulled out my felting “stuff” and have started on a little “sampler” to get my “groove” back.

Always think that “everything will work out” When you allow yourself to be pessimistic your thoughts and actions become sluggish. Approach everything optimistically without hesitating.

mer blu

I’ve never had birds fly so close to me, almost land on me, even light on my camera. I was totally enchanted with my walk… it (boardwalk) was one way, only once or twice did I encounter other visitors. The experience was all mine.

Ancestors Day

Today, the 11th of the month, in Prefect Liberty we celebrate our Ancestors. Through the ceremony, we express our gratitude for the love and virtues of our ancestors and ask for their protection and guidance so we can continue to live the PL WAY. Service will begin at 10 a.m.

We are aware that many of you will be sheltering in place, we ask that you take a few moments at home to share in morning prayer with us.

All over the world, people are having to physically distance themselves from loved ones. In Canada this week-end it is our long week-end, a time when many of us would be gathering and sharing our table with our loved ones who do not live in our immediate “space”. May your creativity and love allow you to find ways to communicate virtually. Be grateful for the bounty we do have, and for the love and community we live in and belong to.

Be thankful to your parents and to your ancestors. You are here today because the “torch of life” has been continuously passed down. Always remember to be thankful.

October 9th.

When a dragon comes calling, you listen.

Your surroundings are a reflection of you. a person who constantly worries will always find things to worry about. An optimistic person will attract happiness, A kind person will always be blessed with kindness in return.

Perfect Liberty 2018.9

The dragon who is yet unnamed, came calling, actually jumped out at me, giving me cause to pause. “Your mission should you accept, is to prepare me for travel, for I have a destination….’ I ask you.. how could I refuse, we have done, as was requested…. Soon she/he will leave my home for his/her final destination.

Flu shot today.. must get ready. Take good care dear friends, stay safe,

acceptance

not perfect, but here I am
this is what I was left with when my camera malfunctioned.

Bought a new product, supposedly it had a fantastic camera(s) etc. and having liked what i saw (end product, of other creative peeps) I dove in and made the change. Thankfully I did not divest myself of my Huawei. After a 3 hour trip to get pictures of the amazing colours, I came home, happily went to upload to PC and found that less than 2 dozen photos had actually “taken” and most were like the ones shared above. Seems I had a product with a malfunctioning camera.

You might ask, what does one do in such a situation? There is no fast and easy answer, I dealt with it. This morning I took the offending product back to the store. Accepted that the whole adventure had been stressful, and went to lie down. The two whippets of course came to keep me warm and join in the “group” hug…. I feel much better now.

There is no point dwelling on something that can’t be changed or undone. How have you been over the last couple of days? Have you enjoyed the wide variety of weather we have had thrown at us. If it clears up tomorrow I’ll go and see what is left of the amazing vivid colours we’ve had this past few weeks.

You can become more attentive with Prayer. Live your life with a prayerful mind so that you can be more attentive and make the people around you that much happier.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Olinda!!!! thank you for all you do!!!! https://images.app.goo.gl/XVLWzwEmvKskGFJn7

shades of yesterday

When yesterday fades, only a memory remains

With the light of a new day

Comes the realization that come what may

I will never hear your voice again,

or catch you smile from across the room

when you notice that I’ve arrived home safe

Yesterday, forever seemed so far away

But when you took your last breath, those many months ago

I had no choice but to let you go to your final resting place

and now….. now I search in the changing colours of the autumn leaves

for the happiness we shared, as we crossed the miles of countryside

for Mother Nature’s fall palette of golden yellows, rusted orange and reds,

oh how we rejoiced, laughing and sharing in her glorious showcase of colours that shone in the sunlight, bright golds, bronze and tattered greens

the bark on the trees, changing with the shadows as the sun drifted across the autumn skies. Gnarled knots and open wounds showed off their textures on the aging trees, while the young saplings did their best to show they were full of promise.

Life does go on, and we did vow, we would love with no regrets,

I have no regrets … you are here in every colour Mother Nature puts on display

Love is pure and love is true, when you accept that love is here to stay.

Today was spent …missing you.

Always work to heighten your “inner sensitivity” Your life will take on greater dimensions when you are able to perceive your surroundings with more sensitivity. Let’s continue to learn and add to our knowledge and experience, and cultivate a fresh sense of beauty.

the Fence

The fence stood for years, aging with time,

taken for granted it stood outside, rain or shine

Finally someone took notice and made the time

To clean away the years grime and give it back

its sense of pride The fence is faithful in its duty

No one can come on the grounds without being greeted

and guided along the church grounds.

it does have a purpose, it wasn’t built just to be pretty.

Showing appreciation, is not a waste of time

our fence is now once more standing proud

always on guard, ready to serve for years to come

Please notice next time you come around

the church fence will bid you welcome and adieau.

the wood is smiling, it really is.. =^_^=

Q

Use things for what they are meant for. Everything has a purpose. Let’s use things to their fullest potential.
